Ya. I mean, did they think people wouldn't have figured it out without the title? The generation that grew up with the original trilogy probably would have. The generation that was barely born when the prequels were released not so much.
To an extent maybe, but Star Wars is a pretty iconic piece of pop culture. Yes. Star Wars is. "Rogue One" isn't. Thus, they included the part that is iconic to help sell it.
Yeah....that's quite clear. Marketing 101. And even if they leave the Star Wars tag off of it, do they honestly make less money?
It's the "story" part I take issue with, it sounds cheap and lame.
Gotcha. I agree that "Star Wars: Rogue One" would have been cleaner, imo.
I don't know that they really make less money. But for basically no additional cost, there's not reason not to include it.
