  1. Yeah, Sam still on the talent drum. Indiana has one four-star on the team and he's out indefinitely with an injury. And Indiana is in the bottom 15 of the Power 5 in roster talent. But do what ya gotta do....
  2. Ozigbo still "limited." Not sure what that means other than still working his way back.
  3. Glad to hear this - both the timeframe of the injury and that he's feeling pretty well now. He hasn't looked good the last couple games. Hopefully this fixes that.
  4. I wouldn't claim to have a perfect recollection but I don't remember hearing about anyone but Tommie Frazier until he got hurt. In fact, what I do remember was thinking it was interesting that my high school's biggest rival had played against him a couple years earlier. I definitely don't remember hearing about a QB who was born to run Osborne's option offense and had been doing so very well for the previous two years was in any danger of losing his job. This article from Shatel at the time doesn't seem to reference much (any?) prior knowledge of Berringer: On a side note, Nebraska only had two scholarship QBs on the roster at that time. Obviously Osborne must have been doing a terrible job recruiting.
  5. So you're argument is that the unquestioned best team always wins every game every year? Do you make the same argument for every other sport - and football at other levels? If not, why is college football different?

  7. I think he is pretty busy with his business. The playground equipment supply industry. Hopefully we will see him on BTN again sometime. I thought he did a good job as a sideline guy. Well-spoken and insightful. Those sideline commentators you see in non-conference games do that on a freelance basis and are paid a per game fee. Damon Benning has done it for BTN, as well as Crouch. They definitely can't do it as a full-time job, unless they are picked up full-time by a channel. It's a good start in the business if they want to do it long-term, but difficult to make a career out of it. Did I dream this up or was Crouch in the booth for awhile?
  8. Got a pretty nice bump for 247 to the #23 overall player in the country. Now right on the edge of being a five-star.
  9. Number of penalties is down a bit. Penalty yardage overall is actually up a tick. Though I don't think a lot of those in either year came from the OL. Missing a few of Lewis' false starts but other than that....
  10. Apparently not a really big hit this year.....
  11. Listed Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Baylor as "big" offers. Huskers stick out to him. Wants to visit Oklahoma (apparently again as he's already been there) Looking for offers from Florida and LSU.
  12. He said we're his leader. Going to be a pain in Iowa's butt on Oct. 21 and visiting Colorado Nov. 15 before deciding.
