  1. I think you're going by last year. Indiana is only #80 in the country in rushing this year and #85 in scoring offense. Last year they were #26 and #24. Last year we were #32 in yards per rushing attempt allowed. This year we are #102.
  2. He definitely got up slowly after the horsecollar tackle but I don't know if that was it or not. I didn't really notice him limping during the game but he might have still been running on adrenaline.
  3. So you think Indiana is as good as us or...? No, but to put this GOD status on Indiana because they beat MSU and ONLY lost to tOSU by 3 TD's is ridiculous. Thankfully no one is doing that.
  4. There's honestly no reason we shouldn't beat IU. They are coming off playing tOSU and just playing them you are going to be beat up some. Also, they were definitely preparing for tOSU in order to try and beat them, so they weren't worried about scheming for us yet. Combining this with our bye week and getting players healthy and being able to scheme for 2 weeks for IU I think we will win by 14+. We'll be without Westerkamp, Ozibgo & Carter, three huge pieces of our offense. Tommy is hurt, Moore is hurt and Reilly is hurt. They're likely all playing, but even a bye week doesn't fix all their ills. I agree Indiana should be banged up after playing OSU, but I doubt they're as banged up as we are. I agree also that we should beat Indiana. But I won't be surprised by a loss at all. According to this site and comparing to their pre-season depth chart: Starting RG questionable Starting DE questionable Starting WR out indefinitely Starting OT out indefinitely Backup TE out indefinitely
  5. i say the best win so far was Wyoming. they are 4-2 and gave air force their first loss of the season this week. According to Sagarin: 50 - Oregon 51 - Northwestern 89 - Illinois 99 - Wyoming 135 - Fresno State
  6. So you're saying you've been giving Nebraska a little more credit than they deserved?
  7. I'd probably still give the edge to Martinez but it's similar to Crouch at Missouri.
  8. Wow. Line opened Huskers -8 yesterday. Already down to -4.5.
  9. I tended to assume that the DLine took a step back from last year. Although it's an exaggeration to say that it's almost a 100% different line from last year. 70% would be closer as Freedom, Dzuris and Maurice played a lot and Stoltenberg played a decent amount. And teams are still often doubling Maurice or one of the DTs. Probably not as much as last year but still happening consistently. I think the biggest difference is we're running a totally different defensive scheme from last year. The linebackers play totally different in pass coverage. I don't know if their run fits are different or not - I'd have to go back and watch some games last year to see. I don't get the impression that the LBs are over-compensating. I don't think they'd be as uniform in what they are doing if that was the case. Particularly in the second set of pictures I posted. If they were over-compensating, MRI and Young would have both crashed to the middle as it was a direct handoff right ahead. Instead they both ran straight ahead into their gap. You can tell by how we were aligned pre-snap which gap each of the front seven was responsible for. From defense's left to right: Young has D, Dzuris has C, Left DT has B, Bando has A, Right DT has A, MRI has B and Alex Davis has C. All three LBs shoot into those gaps as soon as they read run. Problem is that MRI and Young run themselves out of the play since it isn't near their gap.
