  1. This assumes that you played as well as could reasonably be expected to get to both those points. No, the sky is not falling. But to point out that both games were close at the end falls well short of telling the story.
  2. If this game comes down to a two point conversion.....

  3. We sometimes play Cover 1 but there is way more Cover 0 that I would have ever guessed. I would challenge anyone to find another college team that plays half as much Cover 0 as we are playing right now.
  4. .... on defense. There was not much for offensive talent on the 08 team. Joe Ganz Roy Helu Marlon Lucky Quentin Castille Meno Holt Nate Swift Todd Peterson Mike McNeill RB is the only spot that has noticeably more talent. Ganz may have a slight edge over TA in terms of talent but not by a lot. I love the Swift-Peterson-McNeill trio but there is no way they are more talented than Westerkamp-DPE-Carter. The offenses are nearly identical. A little bit here, a little bit there, the only difference. Basically a tossup. Should we compare defenses? Because that's where the HUGE difference is, and it's not even close. Hence the odd votes for 2015, because that 2008 team would demolish this team. It's hard to tell how much talent there is on defense when they are constantly put it terrible positions.
  5. What evidence is there that the team isn't accepting the coaching?
  6. True. But the mindset? Like we did last year?

  9. That would have to be pretty darned unmotivated against a team that turned it over 5 times and barely completed 50% of their passes.
  10. It's really not. It's what happens when you play almost exclusively man-to-man defense all game and do not have a pass rush.
  11. The only good thing is Miami has completely taken their foot off the gas. Golden must feel sorry for us.
  12. That play was a perfect example - teams have us figured out already. Motion across the formation creates man-to-man coverage everywhere. Kaaya checks to the route he wants. Luckily Jones got away with grabbing the guys arm.
  13. There's the difference: We force our guys to play man-to-man everywhere on the field and there are always open receivers. Miami plays zone and there are three guys there to hit Reilly before he can turn around.
  14. Has to be. I was reading just last week what a great job the new staff had done getting the receivers to catch the ball.
  15. Langsdorf is on the sideline so it shouldn't
  16. Again, newby has to catch that. But it would be nice if the passed weren't so low
  17. We still don't have 100 yards of offense
  18. Hovey should have caught that but it would have been nice if it wasn't at his knees
  19. Has been hurt some but no even close to seeing the field
  20. Throw off his back for into double coverage
  21. At least of ta would have thrown it away we could have gone for it on fourth
