  1. There's so many reasons why Carl will be gone it's laughable.
  2. No, not even close, it goes way beyond the record this year. The real question is do people still have faith in Bo, some people will and I know why they do.........2 reasons and here's what they are: 1. They believe in the Pelini "Process"- Bo can do what he wants it's his program and nobody else's (which is exactly the thing I can't stand about him) is what people like. Let him do it his way and give him time to build, he has "his" people in place now just let him grow as coach (you'll be waiting a while). Bo doesn't need to be kissing boosters asses to keep them happy (yes he does, they're the reason his paycheck is so high), all Bo needs to do is keep working hard and winning football games afterall that's what he's here for. It doesn't matter if he acts like a complete jerk to everybody from the media to umpires of 12U softball games because all he has to do is coach, he's not the CEO of the whole program or anything and shouldn't treat people with respect that support him and his program, he should just coach football. 2. He hasn't had enough time, look what T.O. did in his first years (yeah he won BCS bowls), we gave T.O. (one of the most respected coaches all-time in college football a level Bo couldn't fatham) 25 years to get his program to where it needed to be ( he actually showed people respect and recruited well and played in big bowl games). And let's not forget where we were under Billy C, I mean Bo completely turned our program around (right back to where Frank Solich left it) and we're lucky that we have one the best defensive minds in college football to take his talents to Lincoln. Look at the guy's record he's won at least 9 games each year he's been here (except that might end this year because we're not that good) which is the same as T.O. (never compare Bo to T.O. and put him at the same level). The fact is Bo has had enough time, it's year 4 and the fact is our football program is spinning its tires and not going anywhere and for the fans that want to see this program succeed and go to the next level and get back where we belong Bo Pelini doesn't look like he will be the coach that can get this team there and wouldn't be shocked if T.O. figures that out sooner than later.
  3. you mean they're close right??? When I said we're close with both I mean we've recruited them hard, and they've been in contact and in the end both could end up going separate ways, just relaying the message that they've communicated.
  4. Devin Fuller and Brandon Beaver have been in contact. Coaches may be looking for a JUCO TE down the road.
  5. Him and Devin Fuller have been in contact together, not sure what it means for Huskers but we're close with both FWIW.
  6. Is that right? Probably not. Oh I'm sorry didn't realize you know the coaches aren't high on Tommy Armstrong and he wasn't a big priority, I guess I just won't worry about posting news I hear for the board my bad. Not to judge or anything, I think he just got a little annoyed at your continued "inside information" that you don't present any source for... And the fact that the "inside info" isn't anything really ground breaking. Seriously dude, aspeedlin is one of the best in the Recruiting Forum. Add to the fact that the coaching staff was VERY VERY high on Bubba and knew he could've been well worth the risk. The things they had imagined/planned for Bubba are things that they probably wouldn't be able to do with Tommy. Seriously no need to get all butthurt. Your posts are just very vague. We appreeciate what you chime in, but from your first couple of post, you almost fall into the "I have a "source" and I know something you don't, but will not share it all" crowd. There have been many that fall into that category. Where did I poke that I had inside information, quote my posts and show me and why do I need sources, other places don't make a big deal out of it they just want info, if somebody started an info thread I'd gladly post in there, but without knowing me and knowing where or who I get info from should really keep you from jumping down my throat assuming I don't know anything and/or calling me out, and if you have any other questions or concerns PM me.

  8. Coaches are very high on Tommy Armstrong, almost to the point where they were with Bubba last year.

    Boise

Maybe they'll fire Chris Petersen for coming up short again.
  10. Bell, Enunwa, Turner should always be in.
  11. No you don't, I think I would be crucified by many on this situation, to keep it short, Green should be playing way more than he does, Heard should have a redshirt, Rex should get less carries or he might die on the field, and Ameer's role is solid, returner and gets some carries, should be more involved in the screen and passing game.
  12. This is speculation as we havent seen him in practice. And even if the feeling is justified for him, it doesnt justify him opening his mouth about it. Hes not the coach. Freedom of speech does not apply. There are more times I wanted to curse out my superiors in my years in the service than I can count, headbutt out their teeth while they were yelling in my face, but did I ever? HELL NO. Respect for authority. I shouldnt even have to explain this one. Situation isn't even close to the same, I shouldn't have had to explain that. You must be an overweight has-been that has never served and cant see a comparison when its right in front of you. I shouldnt have to explain that. You mad bro?
  13. You put Carnes on that list like he'll play, or is that a sore subject around here. Um, no. He said 2 deeps. As in starter and backup. Martinez goes down, Carnes plays. What exactly are you trying to say? Arguing that someone (Armstrong or other) will come in and start after Taylor graduates just aides the argument that the person who posted that is trying to make about depth. Not quite sure what good that did, but if you think we're set at recruting then by all means keep arguing with me.

  15. Yep. Also, the few times we've seen him play it looks like suicide to run him anywhere but the edge. He's no Rozier, LP, etc yet..... Really? When has he been given any meaningful snaps with plays designed to run up the middle? I mentioned earlier in this thread that I am disappointed that he has used twitter to express his feelings....maybe he should go to the coaches instead of the public... I understand missing his family and friends, but as mentioned, he lives with his brother. Hopefully Andrew will help keep his spirits up.... a local writer from Lincoln mentioned earlier in the week that ALL 3 freshman appear to be too small for big 10 football, and that if they were to run the ball 10 times, they would have trouble staying healthy.... 1 man's opinion, not mine ( I haven't seen them up close).. I really hope Aaron figures it out and is a "fighter", not a "path of least resistance" type of guy. He was my #1 wish-list recruit in last year's class. I hope to see him stay, work his a$$ off and see what happens when he gets a year of college strength under his belt. He is a talent, but needs to stay positive and hopefully makes a splash next year. Hmmm, sounds like all things that could have been done with a redshirt.
  16. Well Aaron is very justified in this situation.
  17. This is a good example. Living about a short drive from Athens it amazes me how much local talent they have on a yearly basis. They do lose their share of talent to other SEC schools BUT they still rake in eviable talent that would make us overjoyed. For as long as I've watched UGA (just as an observer), they have underachived IMO and don't use their athletes properly. So, although I'm preaching to the masses, it always isn't about stars. I wasn't even trying to single out Georgia either...lots of schools (SEC especially) have already started on next year. I believe Alabama already has 3 commits and Auburn, Florida, Michigan, tA&M and Florida State are in the same boat. We have to travel to their backyards and convince a young man to leave his home, family, friends and daily comforts to come to Nebraska and start over. To some kids, the fresh start is a relief, but the majority I would say want to be close to home. We have built in disadvantages in the recruiting field and I think we've done pretty well with what we've got so far. This class will work itself out, but the longer we take to finish this class, the farther behind we get on next year.......and the next year........ and the next year..... All those schools recruit year around as well.
  18. Oklahoma has a much more proven staff at this point let's just say that.
  19. You have a legitimate reason to be scared about this game and it's not because Penn State is so good.
  20. Def agree with that now. I wanna know! If you have info please share!! I'd hate to have to put up anyone for the DBHF. What does that mean? I wouldn't imagine it's a threat now is it? We've had our fair share of people who say they have insider info just to be respected and make them look cool. People don't like posters who come out and say they know something, then keep to themselves, and they are thought of as being a douchebag. Just saying, not accusing you of anything. Gotcha, well I won't claim I have the most or coolest inside info but I have enough to keep me happy and aware of what's going on in the program.
  21. Basically Marcus Rios built a relationship with the coaches at Boise and they were truly his best offer, but eventually he started getting interest from other schools like Nebraska and we offered and he started thinking about his family more, and since he's got our offer and a few others people around him including his coach don't think he'll end up at Boise, UCLA is making a push because it's closer to home, but the Husker visit may change all of that if he falls in love. Sounds like he wants to decide by mid December.
