  1. Big update coming on Eichorst situation, most people probably won't like how Perlman handled it though with how things wound up playing out (others may not care), don't know if it's supposed to get out and don't care.
  2. FWIW I think both Ganz and Beck have done a fine job this season

    RSS

I think the guys running RSS over there do a great job of running the site, and the work and information they do for recruiting and practice reports are fantastic, but I'm starting to wonder if the great information they give is worth it for all the garbage posting on that site, I understand some (many?) of you are like me and do both, but still the average posting on here is way better than over there, it's become a joke at times, don't know whether I'm gonna keep it with them or not after November when subscription runs out.
  4. I say no, he has had a solid year thus far, and sure it hasn't been against great talent but still the kid has been an absolute beast running people over. Remember Rex will be gone next year and after Braylon and Ameer battle for top dog next year Imani will be used a lot, with knowing that having this year under his belt with playing quite a bit will really help his confort level next season. Now I will say since he didn't redshirt I want to see him get solid pt when we can use and make sure he's getting good carries. But with as good as the 3 guys in front of him are, it's tough.

    TO

Alright so my feelings may not 100% sincere in this thread, first I do worry about TO's health and what all this pressure is doing to his health, but honestly with TO as the AD for now it's fine, but if something does need to happen with the football program I'm hoping he will do it, which he cares too much about this program not to. And TO knows how to handle the boosters don't worry about that. But when this thread was going nowhere because I legitimately wanted to know how people felt about TO and how much longer he could do this job but nobody was giving a response and I know this group well enough that the only way to get a legit discussion going was to create a little controversy. There were some posters who did think TO has done his job and he could move on. No big deal, I just wanted to get people's true feelings and if that meant playing the bad guy so be it.

    TO

I get that, but at the end of the day that's people want to talk, that's what people care about, everything else in Nebraska just things to do until football season starts, isn't the old cliche, football always will be the number one priority at Nebraska and will always be on the front burner of the entire Athletic Department before anything, you take care of football then everything else comes afterwards, I'm not just saying that as my opinion, that's just how it goes at Nebraksa.

    TO

Its pretty obvious you don't know Tom nor have you had any dealings with him. I can tell you he's done a great job and is doing a very good job still. He's shown that he can make tough decisions like firing Doc whom was a very good and close friend for the betterment of the program. He also made a very difficult change for him with Anderson in the baseball program. He's continued the improvements that Steve Pederson started (say what you will about Pedy he knew how to build building) and the fundraising levels have been outstanding. He's also helped us navigate to a more stable conference where the school (not sports) will be much better off for the long term. While I don't always agree with some of his thoughts and he's not afraid to do whats also good for Tom if he desires, I can't really complain about the job he's done. Having personally been around the athletic department under the previous two AD's and knowing several employees from high to low levels there I will say its the most stable and comfortable that it has been there in my adult life. He's still got the vigor to do what needs to be done and I will say the only thing taking a toll on his health is his age and there really isn't anything anyone can do about that. Please run along now to the RSS where the sky falls hourly and the IQ's are below sea level. RSS has become a joke, you won't hear an argument from me. First off, let me say this is the discussion I wanted and I knew I'd get the response I did the moment I mentioned TO, unless you're saying something positive you don't say anything at all on that subject in Husker Land, I get it, it's a thing of respect and I would never disrespect TO, I just wanted to know if it was time for change in the AD, it's well documented Bo and TO have had their issues and Bo and the AD have had their issues and that's as much on Bo, but the question comes that many people want to know is what if Bo struggles the rest of the year, will TO be able to put aside the fact that even though he hired Bo he realizes he needs to go in different or will he ride out something that isn't working and allow the new AD to figure it all out wants he leaves, I truly feel from what I've heard he wants the Bo experiment to work, but if he doesn't will he wait or will he act.

    TO

Honestly guys I get some of you would run through a wall for TO, but you're all telling me that at this point in his career and the best thing for Nebraska is keep him as the AD, with our football program remaining in the exact same place it's been since 2008, heck 2002 for that matter. I'm all for TO and respect the Hell out what he did for our program and think he might go down as the greatest college football coach of all time and love him for it, but as the AD I don't know if I can say the same.

Has Tom's time as the AD run its course? Is he going to make the decisions needed for this program to succeed, is a job with this level of stress put on an individual at his age the right thing at this point in time. I can tell youhave I've heard stories about how people close to him are concerned with his health and this job isn't good for him much longer, thoughts? And I know in some people's mind TO could never do any wrong.
  12. Bo had a 'cardiac episode'. He is at St E's. Guess he did not want to go and his wife blasted him and finally gave into request to go. They are keeping Bo overnight and changing meds that he was on to something else and he has to change pregame regiment.
  13. Trading defenses with Alabama may be the only way to do that at this point they can not do that. all those players would have to sit out for a year. then we would have no defense at all for an entire year. sorry, bro, that is just not going to happen. If only we were Wisconsin
  14. what? what happened to this board? it has gone off its bean. Point proven, Thank you point not proven, you are welcome. Quit foiling my logic, you're ruining it!!

  16. what? what happened to this board? it has gone off its bean. Point proven, Thank you
  17. Knowledge over athleticism is one of the dumbest concepts anyone could think and unfortunately Bo believes it.
  18. At this point in his career there's no point in Carnes staying at QB, he'll only play if something really, really drastic happens (meaning Taylor, Tommy, and Ron all go down), so it would make sense for a really athletic guy to move to a position we're he'd be better suited, we've seen it happen before just move him to slot, maybe he'd be able to figure out that position better than QB because it sure doesn't know the playbook well enough to even get a legitimate shot of competing at QB anymore. Heck they'd probably put Jamal back there before Brion, that's how far he's fallen in the coaches eyes and the lack of trust they have in him.
  19. I like this thread because all the Bo supporters come out in bunches to try and stop it and it's quite fun to watch, wonder if they'd also show up to the meeting between Tom and Bo and try to stop that too. Also how about this offseason when Bo goes and looks for another job and when nobody will hire him he comes back and acts like he wasn't try to leave.
  20. Sounds like a 3-4 was implemented today and we may be moving to more of that

    Band

What does everyone think of the band, do you like the pregame show, does it get you fired up and or could you care less about the pride of all Nebraska?
  22. No. ^^ This made me LOL. Mainly because I was thinking the same thing...but mostly because my response was going to go tit for tat on the post and this one summed it up succinctly. Thanks for that, well done, great insight
  23. Cotten? He's that bad he can't even have his name spelled correctly...that's when you know you've lost it with the fan base hopefully Beau Paleni doesn't get to that point.
  24. QB Depth chart as of latest I've heard 1. Taylor 2A. RK3 2B. Tommy 4. Brion
