  1. Of all teams he had to go to. Of ALL the teams. My hatred of K-State is legendary. Goes back years. As long as he wears that purple crap, I won't be supporting his success...sorry, LOL
  2. You do know that with your example, blocking like that downfield is legal because the pass is behind the line of scrimmage, right?
  3. I think it's time to break glass and let this guy back out...
  4. What did we learn? We learned that this offense takes large swaths of game time off, for whatever reason. We learned that this team is just like former Husker teams and can't run the ball consistently outside of broken pass play runs by the QB. We learned that the offensive line seems absolutely lost out there, for whatever reason...especially at the tackle position. We learned that this defense is playing pretty decent football as of right now, but the dam is about to burst without help from the O. We learned that this team's special teams is indeed......special.
  5. I work with a guy from Singapore who loves this country, but always says, "The thing that makes America such a great country is the thing that is causing you all to have the same issues right now. Everybody has the freedoms to do what they want, but they seem to not care about anybody else when it gets into the way of their perceived freedoms." If she thinks this is going to go well as she thinks, she's got another thing coming.
  6. I will never trust a guy who traded away the best receiver in the game because he had an attitude with the dude. Not only that, he traded Hopkins for David Johnson, a second and a fourth round pick - while giving away a forth pick. He didn't even get a top draft pick for Hopkins. Can't trust a guy with seeing that hot mess.
  7. NDSU does old school Nebraska better than Nebraska does old school Nebraska. Looking at the stats for that game. Trey Lance ran for 166 on 30 carries, and was 6-10 for 72 yards passing. Think the receivers were world beaters? The entire receiving corps that day had six catches. SIX. When you look at the stats for that game, you're like, "How the hell did they win this football game, much less score 28 points?!?"
  8. Throw a crap ton of money at Brent Venebles at Clemson. And he needs to bring in a really good recruiter of the South.
  9. Here is what is going on.... I looked at stats all the way back to 1998. Not a totally deep dive into them, mind you, but I was interested in a couple of things: How running the ball equated into more wins How passing the ball equated into more wins I did not factor in penalties or turnovers Here's what I came up with. I took the three best statistical seasons for each coach from Solich to Frost. If you look, I also included the number of rushing attempts, total yards gained per rush, passing attempts-completions-picks and I got a percentage from that. I included the passing yards as well for that entire season. Down below, you see the average per rush for that entire season, along with the passing percentage. I did not factor in any defensive stats either, such as turnovers gained or points off turnovers. I only wanted to see how the teams were rushing the ball under certain coaches, and how they were passing the ball under certain coaches. Also keep in mind - I didn't factor in if the team was behind or not. Understandably, you pass more when you're down multiple scores. If you look - the coach with the worst record has the best overall completion percentage has less yards passing and wins. The most glaring stat - there has been one 1,000 yard rusher in the last 6 seasons. ONE. The irony? In the 1997 year (in which the current head coach won a National Championship), they rushed for almost 5,000 yards, had two 1,000 yard rushers (including the current head coach - and Green almost rushed for 2k that season), and had 57 total penalties that season for 500 yards. Last season, Frost's football team had 54 penalties for 485 yards. There is a lack of old school, run it down your throat physical toughness in Lincoln, and it's been missing for quite some time. That, and a lack of fundamentals and discipline which hasn't been there since Solich left.
  10. if you were a Gen-Z'er, you'd say, "What's an Axle?"
  11. Not during this trip. Did break about 3 axles on the way, though, and ran into a patch of bad water and inadequate grass for the oxen.
  12. It doesn't matter to many if their doctor says that they should or not. People have stopped trusting scientific fact and replaced it with political rhetoric. P.S. - Obama made it to Oregon. He did lose Michelle to cholera, and lost Sasha to a wagon crash.
  13. I kid, but this was 2020 in a nutshell. We were fed lies, half and mistruths, outright BS, pipe dream, crap. There were those of us who never believed any of it but were forced to eat that s**t sammich. There were those of us who were convinced that s**t on toast might taste pretty good. And then there were those of us who were (and still are) trying to convince everyone that this man's s**t is the best s**t they've ever eaten and it's wonderful on toast, here's a plate. Which one are you?
  14. They've arrived at Chimney Rock a few days after the untimely passing of Don Jr. Do they look around? HELLA NO, cause 'MERICA and ONLY HE CAN FIX IT. PRESSES ON toward Laramie, Wyoming. But oh no.... Oh boy....now he's all alone...
  15. And now Don Jr has passed away, broken leg and all. His dad never told him he loved him....shame....
  16. Donald and his group have made it to Fort Kearney, Nebraska. Does he look around? Nope, he keeps pressing on to Chimney Rock.
  17. Tried to cross another river. Didn't go so hot this time, but at least nobody died this time around. Donald's message to the group that night after making it across is, "We have it totally under control."
  18. Looks like some charitable American Indians have helped out.
  19. For those who might wonder what happened when Donald's group got to the Kansas River. He tried fording the river. Here's the result:
  20. I kinda jump in and out of here from time to time, but seeing as how this is a subject that I'm quite passionate about, let me throw my two cents in, here... The former President of the United States has an aversion to sensible, safe, effective, scientific study in the field of vaccination and public health measures. This is what he did most of January and February of 2020: Jan. 22, 2020 “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.” Jan. 24, 2020 Trump praises China’s handling of the coronavirus: “China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!” Jan. 28, 2020 “This will be the biggest national security threat you face in your presidency...This is going to be the roughest thing you face" Trump’s National Security Advisor to Trump Jan. 30, 2020 "The lack of immune protection or an existing cure or vaccine would leave Americans defenseless in the case of a full-blown coronavirus outbreak on US soil,...This lack of protection elevates the risk of the coronavirus evolving into a full-blown pandemic, imperiling the lives of millions of Americans.” [Memo from Trump Trade Advisor Peter Navarro] Feb. 2, 2020 “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.” Feb. 7, 2020 “It’s also more deadly than even your strenuous flu... This is deadly stuff” [Trump in a private interview with Bob Woodward from The Washington Post made public on Sept. 9, 2020] Feb. 10, 2020 “I think the virus is going to be—it’s going to be fine.” Feb. 10, 2020 “Looks like by April, you know in theory when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away.” Feb. 24, 2020 “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… the Stock Market starting to look very good to me!” Feb. 25, 2020 “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.” Feb. 25, 2020 “I think that's a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.” Feb. 26, 2020 “The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.” Feb. 26, 2020 “We're going very substantially down, not up.” Feb. 26, 2020 “Well, we're testing everybody that we need to test. And we're finding very little problem. Very little problem.” Feb. 26, 2020 "This is a flu. This is like a flu." Feb. 27, 2020 “It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.” Mind you, while the former president was making his statement on Jan 24, 2020, my wife was hospitalized with chills, low grade fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste and smell, light fluid on the lungs - all while she was going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. The former President was hospitalized himself with COVID in October of 2020, and probably knew he had it no less than a few days prior - after exposing everyone at the Debates to COVID as well. The first REPORTED COVID Death was March 2nd, 2020, but we know that deaths attributed to COVID happened weeks prior to this. So the true toll of this deadly disease may be vastly understated. So - anybody that tries to come with some smoke about ANYBODY being critical about the former President - just look at this list, and then remember the number 606,618. That is the current number of people who have died because of lies, laziness, ineptitude, arrogance, and sheer and utter stupidity with one man leading the group. It was like he was in charge of a group on the Oregon Trail, was left a ton of provisions by the folks who paved the way for him before, but he then said, "I don't like the last guy, so I'm getting rid of ALL those provisions, cause, Obama." Then, he started on the trail in Independence, Missouri (ironically, the birthplace of Harry Truman, who said, "The Buck Stops Here.."), got 1/2 way to Oregon, and most everybody but his people died of....dysentery because he brought more clothing on the trip than food and other needed items. His people get rescued and taken to Oregon, and he blames the whole thing on the Store Keeper (who tried to advise him), the former Leader (who left him provisions), and everyone else.
  21. If Trev becomes the AD in Lincoln, then we won't have to worry about Football anymore (or Wrestling)... Sorry, couldn't resist.
