  1. Mr. Moore would be an awesome pickup. Nice combination of size and speed!
  2. Pre BC Offense: Lawrence Ph. --He may have been mentally unstable, but he was the only running back I was never worried about tripping over his own feet before he got to the line of scrimmage, or fumbling as he was taken down. Every play he had the potential to run over a defender and break the TD run. The TF/LP era was by far the most exciting in Husker history. Those two were such great competitors that the games usually were over by the end of the first quarter. Pre B.C. Def: Terrell Farley -He was the deference in the huskers having a devistating defense and an above average Defense. After TF left, the Husker defense was not nearly as feared. B.C. Offense: Purify, Damn it, throw the ball to him more this season. B.C. Def: McKewon, He cracks me up everytime I hear him
  3. Sports Illustrated is reporting Stoops may be in the hot seat again for more athlete employment problems. [i am not sure what the cut and paste rules are, so go CNN/SI and read the story.] Things may get interesting in April for Oklahoma
  4. Very Impressive! I do believe we have the best college football website on the internet, and its free!
  5. Before we all get too worked up today over today's results, I think we need to look at the real recruiting class, not today's signed class. The real recruiting class should be analyzed 2 months from now, not today. Today is nothing more than Scout and Rivals Hype. Two months from now we will find out who actually will qualify and who will be JUCO. Was it last year or 2 years ago, when Florida state had a top-5 recruiting class, then in June, we found out that four of their top players would not be joining the team, they would all be 5-star JUCO players in the fall. This year I bet there were at least 20 players Nebraska stopped recruiting because they will be JUCO this fall. Look at Mr. Noel Devine, the recruiting services are still Woowing over him. A 5-star JUCO bound player is just as awesome as any other JUCO bound player for helping the Huskers this fall. Before we get pissed off by Florida, USC, and Tennesse's recruing classes, and how Nebraska was screwed over at signing day, lets wait a few month's, and see how many players in the Top 10 classes end up JUCO this fall. Scout and Rivals should do their real rankings of classes in June, not Today. But they are in the business of making money, and hype makes money, not thorough analysis of February's classes. In the world of Media, that amounts to yesterday's news, which doesn't make them money.
  6. Morning everyone. Gonna be checking my computer every hour this morning
  7. Honestly, I am gonna have a hard time getting my mind off of tomorrow. Also, I have a feeling I am gonna wake up at 5:00 or 6:00 am and not be able to go back to sleep. I am just curious if anyone else feels the same way right now.
  8. Is that Neutered Dumb your refering to? Home of the Front Butt blocking scheme!!!! Jesus is not the only one to walk on water, Their QB's also walk on water According to SI's Stewart Mandel, their QB Brady Quinn was going to win his 4th straight Heisman next year, even though he will be playing in the NFL; but Mandel has officially changed his mind and their new quarterback Jimmy Clausen will win his first of 4 Heisman's next year. According to Mandel, "I have already cast my Heisman ballot for next year, even though it is 11 months early, it does not matter, because there is no comparison between Clausen and any other player in college football." According to the Bob Wright CEO of NBC broadcasting, "I peed my pants last night thinking about how good a QB Clausen is. Next year we may need to double or even triple our contract pay for each ND game we broadcast. It will be such an honor to be in the same stadium as Mr. Clausen; it will be well worth the money. Sorry, I need to sit down now, I am growing faint."
  9. JUCO's are not, and never will be the foundation of any top football program. Rather they are "quick fixes" for positions with lack of depth, until depth can be built. The real concern with JUCO's is if a team recruits too many of them or tries to build a team from JUCO's every year (the K-STATE strategy of building a football team), a team will never develop depth at a position. Without depth, a football program can collapse in one year.
  10. Well birds of feather flock together Or in the case of Prince, looks like a lot are flying the coop. Good job prince, keep re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic
  11. So if Florida beats Ohio State, Will Boise State be the national champions? They are the only undefeated team in the country!! Once again we see how overrated the media darlings Big 10 and Notre Dame are. Beating an overrated big 10 team does not make a National Champion, beating every team on your schedule does! If you disagree, I would like to hear your argument.
  12. Actually Cally is smart on this one. He may be dumb, slow, and lazy. But Cali offered him a greyshirt. He plays with the team for one year, and then the next year he will get a scholarship. One year with the Huskers, and this kid will either become a man and a football player, or he will quit on his own because he is getting the crap kicked out of him every play of every practice by the defensive linemen. We see this every year with half a dozen kids who quit the team because they know they will never play a game for the Huskers. We can always use more O-lineman, and this one is a freebee for Cali. My guess is by the end of conditioning next fall he will quit the team, if not before then. But you never know the heart of each recruit, every year some of the top draft picks were not even given consideration by any major college team coming out of high school. The recruting business is a strange business to say the least.
  13. Positives for next year: Offense: 9 months for O-line to hit weight room and continue eating corn fed beef! Can you say Keller, Purify, Niles Paul, and Lucky on the field at the same time? This is the first time since the Aman Green era that we actually have more than 2 legitimate offense threats on the field at the same time. Defense: We will actually have D-backs that can play man to man. Next year we can actually blitz with out our blitz being potentially suicidal. Without D-backs that could play man to man, our blitzes the past 2 years were about as safe as play leapfrog with a unicorn. I am excited about next year!
  14. How many JUCO's did we have in the 2005 class? I assume a number of the JUCO's from 2005 class have now used up their eligility. So a few more members of the 2005 may now be gone because their four years are now up.
  15. In 2005, Solich left the cupboard bare. One class (2005) cannot make an entire team. The 2005 class has done a great job of moving us back up the W/L ladder. My hat is off to the 2005 class. Three good recruiting classes in a row, and we will start to see some real improvements in the quality of the team the Huskers put on the field.
  16. So what does this do to the mythical national championship? Boise State finished the season 13-0; they should have a claim to the national championship, they did all they were asked to do.

  18. Is it too early yet? I am starting to get concerned that we have zero OL commitments, and as I read through the recruits we are recruiting hard, I see very few OL prospects. Our offense is only as good as OL (as we have seen time and again) And offensive line is one position where it takes several years of hitting the weightroom hard and memorizing our play book in order to be effective and in-sink with the rest of the OL and our offense. I just need a little re-assurance right now
  19. How does Lawrence Phillips know summer has now turned into fall? When he woke up, Frost was on his pumpkin! Dang, it has been like 10 years now, but I still remember that joke.
  20. Recruiting truly is an imperfect science!
  21. Yes!!! Welcome aboard Roy! I have a feeling this is gonna be a great weekend
  22. Is it just me or would everyone else like to see at least 5 solid OL and 4 solid DB commits each year? OL and DB's are two postitions where a team can never have too much depth! (Especially with the frequency of injuries at these positions) Going into the 4th quarter, it is always nice to have an option avaliable of fresh bodies and fresh legs. Also, (never seen this happen), if we would get "too deep" at OL, we can always switch a few to DL, likewise we can always put a few lbs on the DB's and convert them to fast LB's or else simply convert them into wideouts. Anyway I am excited about this weekend.
  23. I loved watchig that Video. Looks like he can stick-em good!
  24. 3 Points 1. Last year NOONE gave us a chance agains "A much superior" Michigan Team 2. Late in the season, yes, USC would have the edge, but it takes 4-5 games for an offense to jell. Last year compare our perofrmance for the first half of the season compared to the second half of the season. 3. USC has played no one so far, and they believe the are still GOD. A few years ago Steve Spurrior and everyone at ESPN believed steve was GOD incarnate, until he met the Huskers.
  25. Welcome T Colonial, Thanks for the input and not coming here to bag on us. If you attend the game, you will find most Husker fans to be quite cordial. We hope you enjoy your stay in Lincoln We hope the Huskers are not overlooking Nicholls state as the following week we have USC
