This. The previous staff praised Stanton, but said he was inconsistent. Going forward, I'm excited to see what our QBs can do with what seems likely to be more and better hands-on QB coaching. Pelini said in fall camp that Stanton, at times, looks like the best QB on the team inconsistency was his trouble. With Armstrong playing all year, and being terribly inconsistent at times, I wonder how bad Stanton must have been in Beck's system to not get a chance to even play in a mop up role this year.

Eichorst mentioned in the presser who was aware of the coaching search. They were high level members of the university and board of regents. You never knew anything other than what Eichorst wanted the fan base to know. Not sure if this is means your sources are valid and were part of the ploy; that they're not as connected as they think they are; or that the sock is nonsense and we're all morons with nothing better to do.

NU has the talent to win 9 games every year, but they didn't have the mental stability to keep themselves from melting down when adversity strikes. Yeah every coach runs up and down the sidelines screaming at refs but their teams down fold when it happens. Bo's "us vs the world" mentality prevented him from taking any responsibility for his losses and actions. How many times when asked what can change, did he say "if I knew I'd tell you" or "I don't know, you tell me." Coach Riley is the opposite. He's calm and approachable and the change in HC personality will create a change in team chemistry that will produce on the field results that are on par with our expectations. I want to hear him say some games mean more than other games. That's one thing that drove me nuts about Pelini and the messages the players were forced to send. You're 8-1, playing at Wisconsin, you win and skate to the championship, you lose you're done. Or, you're returning to your Alma Mater to coach against them for the first time ever. Or, its your first game in the B1G... THe list goes on. Embrace the big games and maybe your teams won't wilt at the first sign of adversity. That's what I hope to hear.

From what I've read and speculated: The idea is to have Frost as a HC in waiting. So, if the idea is to have Frost as a HC in waiting; and Tressel has some sort of coaching ban; then it makes sense to have a guy like Frost with Tressel so Frost can keep a unified front in coaching the games that Tressel has been suspended.

How credible is this source? Don't dangle that carrot, ya feel me? Tressel + Frost combo is not the #1 choice. There is a lot of interest there to make it happen though. I'm not going to elaborate on it any further since there is a very big key part that needs to agree to it to make that combo work. I'll bite. What is the #1 choice?

I hear a lot about Boosters wanting Bo to leave. Do boosters give money to the university to get some kind of return on investment or do they do it to benefit student athletes? Giving money to a university isn't the same as donating to a political campaign where you can expect something in return.

I think Cam and Steinkuhler are remnants from a particular set of players that were recruited to play against big 12 offenses. We wonder why or LB's are slow? Our last year in the big 12 we had Gomes and Hagg who essentially played linebacker and a lot of times we only played 1 true LB. During that time, our D Line was getting pressure because A) Suh and B) coverage. Now that we don't play those teams and that type of D, its going to take a bit of time to get new blood in there. Cam and Steinkuhler play because they're technically sound, are fully invested in the system, and often times do adquate jobs. Is it worth the downside? I'm not sure. If we learned anything from Chase Rome it's that the team is truly expected to compete every snap from practice to games. If they're not getting it done, I think they'll find some time on the bench.
