I'm sorry. I was distracted by your avatar....what are we talking about again? I'd be surprised if Lucky only has 315 rushing yards through the first three games. I would imagine that Bo will try to run the ball quite a bit, and despite how good our backups are, Lucky will get the bulk of the carries.

I've never seen a cornerback get burned so many times and receive so much praise. He's good........but he's not the best cornerback to ever play the game. I watched every KU game last year and only saw him get burned twice. Jordy Nelson beat him deep, but he did push off. All corners get beat, even Deion used to get beat, that's part of the game. Usually if a great corner gets beat it's because they bite on a pump fake or jump routes. Aqib was one of the most aggresive corners we've had at KU. He'll be missed. are you telling me you wouldn't let a song girl tackle you? I'd play hard to get until I crossed the goal line. Those song girls are butterfaces. They looked good from the student section, but when we got a little closer, not one of them was as attractive as we were expecting. And besides, when we were passing all over them, they still had at least two of their starting DB's in there, including Taylor Mays

I think we haven't even seen a little bit of what he can do. Our line the last two years has been less than spectacular. People say he isn't very good when compared with other running backs across the country, but if he had a line like some of the top schools, i have no doubt that he'd be a 1500 yard back. Also, in reference to him "dancing around" and not finding the holes, the offense that we run rarely "creates" a hole. the whole line shifts until a seam opens up and that is when he breaks through the line. If there is no seam, he goes nowhere, which has been seen far too often this season.

Just a tidbit, Marlon has a better per carry average (4.9) than quentin castille (4.6) and roy helu (4.3). Also, last season, his production supposedly "dropped off" even though he had almost the same ypc as brandon jackson (5.2 to 5.3). I don't think there's any evidence that these players are better than marlon or any reason that they should be starting ahead of him. Just my thoughts! GO HUSKERS!

Marlon has done just fine with the opportunities he has gotten. What do people expect with our current offensive line. People think that he tiptoes, but thats because our offense is designed for him to read the line and find the holes. There aren't going to be gaping holes in the middle of the line. As for him not breaking tackles, i would have to disagree. People have been questioning his production, saying that last year his productivity dropped off toward the end of the season. The reason for that was because brandon jackson started getting the bulk of the carries. I think if he did get carries comparable to the top running backs in the country, be would be great, but he doesn't consistently get 30 carries per game.

I apologize if i come off as conceited. That was not my intention at all. After the USC loss, I've just heard so much negative about our team's future and hardly any positive. I've even heard predictions of Ball State beating us. Two weeks ago, this was going to be a cupcake game. I still feel like we have the ability to be contenders, but Callahan's subsitutions and play calling are so sporadic and most of the time i have no idea what Cosgrove is thinking. That may be the case, but there are 90+ other teams in the country that would love to be "mediocre". I thought i could come on here and have a friendly discussion, but you guys are intent on thinking we suck. It is becoming more and more apparent to me that i am an incredible Nebraska fan.
