  1. Why do you count Saban's wins against Western Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Tenn-Chattanooga, etc... I don't know. I know its a statistical thing, but, I guess my point in asking the question was along the lines of justification. What is the record vs BCS conference opponents? Is that good enough to you as a fan? that's not what you asked in the first place. his answer wasn't good enough for you so you had to put a different twist on it to fit your agenda.
  2. because every other D1 team counts those wins also. Alabama is #1 in the country but still counts those win of lesser teams. why are you setting different standards for NU when we follow what everyone is doing.
  3. That's funny, the Huskers have five national championships, and ALL of them came after we stuck with a coach for 9 or more years. And none of them came from a coach who hadn't won a conference championship in their first 6 years. 2 Big 8 co-championships for TO versus 3 division championships for Bo. Isn't a tie for 1st in the Big 8 about the same as a division championship in a 12 team conference? Do we have a banner that reads conference champions for 2009, 2010 or 2012? Then no. So now we must have banner's stating conference champions or it didn't happen. talking about cherry picking.
  4. Against teams with a pulse, Armstrong is a turnover machine. I'm hoping Stanton takes the reins next year. Well we gave Martinez 3 1/3 years of turning the ball over so I guess it makes sense that you want Armstrong gone already. I don't care who plays, I just want ball security. But we'll have a sophomore and a redshirt freshman next year for our choices. I'm guessing we'll have issues with either one. This Armstrong kid has had enough time! He's not the guy. I mean, six games into your freshman year at this level and you still make mistakes. STANTON STANTON STANTON! what?

I'll say one thing, if he doesn't get a head coaching gig out this it will be a crime. That turnaround can't be ignored. I've never liked U$C, but he could change that. Seems like a cool dude. you do realize he failed in the SEC. that's why he was an assistant.
  6. Here's something Bo has had the same opportunity as any other team to do in each of his first five seasons: Make a BCS bowl. It's a list that potentially grows this year, as Nebraska won't be making one. The current tally sits at 30. Alabama (4) Oregon (4) Stanford (3) Wisconsin (3) Florida (3) Virginia Tech (3) Ohio State (3) Oklahoma (2) Texas (2) TCU (2) Cincinnati (2) Notre Dame LSU Michigan USC Florida State Penn State Boise State Clemson Arkansas Auburn West Virginia Oklahoma State Louisville Kansas State Utah Northern Illinois UConn Iowa Georgia Tech ... I can live with not making a BCS bowl in six, even seven years, if we're regularly coming within striking distance for it. But I can also completely understand anyone who says "At Nebraska, that's not a good enough bottom line." misleading information, too many variables you haven't taking in consideration.
  7. funny how that happens in college and pro sports. just don't understand it. I'll let Bo know that he needs to get the team great again for you. I'll ask him to dedicate next year "the Tru2tRA" year. that should make you happy.
  8. Do you know something about the AD and Bo's relationship? or is this just a reach for you. I have no idea, just would like to know. Just speculating. The AD's office has been pretty lukewarm in showing support for Bo this year especially in the wake of audio gate. Sorry, this is a total guess I've seen other people make and lately I'm inclined to agree. I'm not someone who would have any special information. Na I can see what your saying. at this point nothing would be a surprise.

  10. It wasn't this game, this board has been divided for some time.
  11. when did ball security become a exact science that you need to go get specialists to teach it? the teaching of ball security hasn't changed in sixty years. and I love how you think that the coaches don't preach this every practice.
  12. until they start getting flagged for those penalty's then posters will say the coaches aren't teaching the team correctly. it's a no win situation.
  13. Then whats needed, in your opinion? I know what's needed, ball security. I just don't know how to fix it. I know how to fix it. You run 1 miles of bleachers for every turnover. You do 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, 100 dips, 100 pullups ... for each offense. You do this in game 1 of the season. You increase this by one mile and 100 reps throughout the season. You coach like Herman Boone. "How many feet are in a mile? 5,280 feet! You pick this ball up and run every one of 'em! You're killing me, Petey! You're killing me!" Bo needs to go "old school" on this crap. This isn't "year one" of the Pelini Era. This lack of discipline has been the "hallmark" of every team. It does not change. If TM was in ... he would do the same thing. When these guys are freshman ... they make freshman mistakes. When they are seniors ... they make freshman mistakes. It never changes. really that's your answer.
  14. Orange slices and Capri-Suns for everyone for trying so hard out there!!!!!!!!! so what your saying is they should act like they where beaten down. Hmmmmmmmmmmm No I'm saying they coughed the football up five times, lost a game at home by three scores, and seem to be cool with it cuz they tried. This is a good thing? your right why dwell on the positives when you can whine and bitch about the negatives. It's so much more Nebraska. with all the turn overs the D came to play and the O did do OK. outside the turnovers.
  15. Chill pill Red Stripe. Its just a game. True... the program has been struggling for a decade or so now. But beating a dead horse is not that valuable either. Again... a few good things were out there... Burch, AA, Cross, SJB, RG, among others. Lets see some of the positives too. The defense, overall, played pretty well... now MSU is not good offensively... but still, NU'd D was not bad at all. And again... enjoy NU football.. it is for entertainment purposes and does not define who we are. Even if NU is not that good, there are still things to be pleased about. 6 years of this crap is enough....wait, more like 14 years. Changes are needed. This type of season would never have been embraced 10 or even 5 years ago. Moral victories are for losers. calm down. your hatred is obvious.

  17. how is Stanton the guy for next year? please do tell. I don't know who you have been watching. Stanton has clearly shown enough to be the starter next year. And dangit, I'm still so mad that people wanted this TA kid over Martinez. That kid has shown us nothing! Oh wait ....... the troll got me! I believe everything you say master.
  18. how is Stanton the guy for next year? please do tell. I'd like to know this, too. Tommy had a rough game. He has some things to work on. But if this is his basement, good God his ceiling could be astronomical. There seems to be this tendency to "hysterically overreact" (to use one of my favorite new phrases) to a quarterback's bad game. Tommy's had some trouble with his passing. He's played in, what? His sixth collegiate game? He'll get it figured out. The guy is fine. I agree. he has alot to learn but he's not doing to bad. it's a learning curve that he's working on!
