  1. Banker just tweeted at the twins. I know Reggie Davis did it the other day too. Isn't that a no no? If so, how does that happen twice?
  2. Could just be paying respect to a coach they like. Until a new DT offer is made public, I'd guess we're safe.
  3. "Fun" in your living room isn't the same as having "fun" and winning on the field. I would like to think this new staff will provide the latter.
  4. Could Blatt get fired mid season and Tyronne Lue fill in as HC?

  5. watching our lb play the last few years I'm not surprised Good chance at taking 3-4 players that won't even make an impact, but I'm not a coach.
  6. May have said it before and unsure where I heard this, but no team with a recruiting class outside of top 15 has played for a national title in last 15+ years. Oregon - 2012 (16), 2013 (22), 2014 (26), 2015 (currently 21) What about Ohio State? Not scientific, but did some basic research from Rivals class rankings... Since '02, no championship winning team has an average recruiting class ranking higher than 13.4 (OSU) In that same time frame, all runner-ups are inside top 15 average recruiting class ranking EXCEPT for Oregon (19.2) and ND (21.2) The signing class leading up to the season before playing in the BCS title game, only 3 teams have a recruiting class ranking below 15. Texas (18) Auburn (19) Oregon (32) And only Texas (20) and ND (20) signed a class outside of top 15 after title game appearance. Am I wrong about my claim saying every team is inside top 15? You got me.
  7. The title has more bark than the article has bite. Don't know why there's an assumption of university burning a bridge with Frost. The person that would hire Frost in the future, like Shatel is alluding to, probably isn't even employed by the university at this time.
  8. I'm guessing they made an agreement somewhere that they'd not recruit Ohio.
  9. Exactly. Comparatively, we know what we're getting with Riley, while those coordinators ranked ahead of him are all question marks. After our last experiment, I'd take Riley's experience over a coordinator. Aside from Chryst, there's no chance any of those other coordinators stick with their school for more than 4-5 years IF they are successful. Also, ever so apparent that winning the way Harbaugh did excuses him from the list of "temper tantrum" coaches lol.

  11. http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2015/01/top_te_target_chris_clark_talk.html And Marrow ended up staying at UK. So, let me get this straight. Morrow, talked to this kid over Twitter while he is still employed at Kentucky and talked to him about possibly going to Michigan if he goes there to coach. So, recruiting for Michigan while employed at Kentucky. If true, this guy is the slime ball I thought he was. Just got a raise and a 3 year extension from Kentucky so........That's fine. That's how coaches get raises. But, you contact recruits for your next job while you are still employed and getting paid by your current job? That's slime ball right there. Didn't he do the same thing when he didn't get offered a full time position at Nebraska? Ditching one our lame duck coaches for Marrow a few years ago would have resulted in much more depth on our roster He also told a couple kids to stick with NU. And come to think of it, off thread topic sorry, but what does this mean for Love and Hart?
  12. Seeing Mark Mays face at halftime when Tebow and Holtz were gushing over OSU was priceless.

  13. The talent is there, just needs to be coached up and right players playing. Can't be too stubborn and play the kid with "heart" over the kid with skill, also gotta find a way to make the game fun for the players.
  14. Easy.... Neither has proven anything to this point. I have seen enough of CC to know that he has some really good talent and was idiodically under utilized under thhe previous staff. That will change, as it should/needs to. Reed got some love but not often enough during his time at NU. The last year I remember a TE being utilized was Mike McNeil as a freshman, and then he seemed to disappear. Can't wait to see what this staff does with that position in the throwing game.
  15. Wait...so he won his appeal but is fined??? How does that work?
  16. I long for the day when players hate losing so much that the leaders do something about it to motivate the team. I care little about what they say on Twitter or during interviews and more about how they handle themselves on the practice field, during games, and in the locker room around teammates.
  17. Does Coughlin retaining his job prevent Langsdorf from considering a return to college?

  18. Like backing off Harrison Phillips, Drew Ott, CJ Johnson? Not just trying to play devil's advocate because you have a point, but sometimes coaches miss on in-state talent. Would love to steal a potential stud like this out of OK.How can you throw CJ Johnson in that category? He's never stepped foot on a college field and there isn't exactly D1 schools lining up offers. If that's your main take away from my post, you're missing the point.

  20. My gut tells me Warren would have moved on in a year or two if it weren't for Bo being fired. Only Bo's "buddies" have stuck by him through the years and others don't have credentials to move on (I like Fisher and Ron Brown is a NU guy to and through). Between incompetence and unflattering stories about some assistant coaches that are coming out, I have a change of opinion about Bo. Glad this ride is over and hope Riley can motivate the players to buy into his philosophy because I feel like for the most part the talent is there, but the players just need to be coached up.
  21. Thank you Det/GB for not ending in a tie. Go Hawks!

  22. I don't know if Riley will be better or not, but nonetheless I'm excited

Excited is a good word to describe my feeling. I think we are a sleeping giant, the right guy wakes up the monster imo

I concur. I was 'ok' with Bo, but nothing tonight showed me that his coordinators know, what they're doing. I like the idea of something new and something fresh

  23. Get a California burrito or its a failed trip
  24. Beast Mode at it again and Hawks looking like a SB contender again. This could be another fun playoff run. Go Hawks!
