I was shocked to hear the claim by the announcer that last year was the worst offensive team in 45 years- mind you, in a day in age where spread concepts has made offense king HOW IS MARIO VERDUZCO STILL EMPLOYED HERE. For f#&%s sake- we can’t develop QBs, we can’t recruit QBs yet we keep this clown on this staff and also have a piss poor special teams unit, AGAIN, with no defined coach focusing on it THIS IS NOT ONE THING AILING THIS TEAM. I’ll agree with you it’s a disjointed affair. But the first half of our offense doing absolutely nothing and leaving our defense out on the field did them zero favors and clearly played a role. if we’re being honest that first Illinois drive in the 2nd half is exactly what we used to do consistently for decades.

While this headline is accurate, it also alleviates a s#!t load of blame for a 4 year starting quarterback who needs to be a helluva a lot better

I honestly don’t understand how some on here lay some blame on the defense. It was 100 degrees outside and due to our inept offense we lost time of possession badly if we score the points we should have in the first half we’re in a position to control the game and run the clock out. some of you have clearly never played football before if you think a defense is supposed to be the savior when the other offense has the ball for 35 mins.

I was ok with our o line. I don’t think we call enough power run plays.. 100% agree on verduzco, guy has always been and will continue to be an absolute clown. No f#&%ing clue why we burn a coaching spot thag could be used for special teams on this a$$ hat when frosty has coached a heisman winning qb before…

In frostys defense, the play calling if just fine, he just doesnt have a quarterback with a f#&%ing spine or arm.... prolly 3 missed throws that would have been touchdowns- obvi the inexcusbale fumble there... worst case scenario u go into half tied.... we have a 4 year starter captain who is the epitome of a f'n loser.. its sad, im pissed, and i dont think we have anyone behind him whos better
