Huh? He's saying for USC, not NU. And if I had to guess, it is because people are finally realizing that Lane Kiffin is a scumbag. Correct. I was talking about USC losing the recruits. I get that people think Kiffin is a scumbag and people think that he can't coach but it just seems strange that his class this year was on fire and now kids are jumping ship at quite a pace. Just wondering if they have been told something. It might be that since there were limited schollies available they figured they would snatch one up and then see where the rest play out

I dont think so either. It's easy to squeak out the close wins when there's nothing on the line and no consequences. We'll see how great they are next year when there's outlandish expectations to live up to. I believe they'll get nipped a couple times as well. The reason I say that is pretty much what you just described. When you have no bowl game to play for, there is very little pressure on your football team. But when you're trying to win a conference championship and get to a BCS bowl or the National Championship game, there is all kinds of pressure. USC is a perfect example of that. Undefeated last season on probation, preseason #1, and six losses this season. There were more factors that contributed to that outcome than just the added pressure, but I think it was the biggest part of it by far. I think U$C had 2 losses last year but it is a very good point about pressure

I want to predict a BCS bowl game but it is hard to do that right now. On paper, things are in line to do good things but until proven otherwise there will be a loss against an unranked team, 1 lopsided loss, and 1 ununspired win. Until 2 of those 3 things do not happen in a season, I remain cautiously optimistic.

If he was basing his decision on a GA, then I wonder how much we were really considered. I wonder if someone mentioned to him that VM was getting a FT job. I think it has less to do with that and more to do with most of the Husker faithful wanting some good news in the recruiting/coaching department.
