  1. I like how last month when it snowed UNL though it was safe enough for students and teachers to walk to class , but too dangerous to have the groundskeepers come in and salt the sidewalks. Cant tell you how many people I saw eat sh#t. Last year I broke my leg on a frozen staircase on campus that was not cleared off or salted....2 days after it snowed
  2. Blackahirts be sure to check your email often. I was supposed to have 2 tests thursday but hoth have gotten cancelled already. I only have one class that hasnt cancelled yet. The professors sound like they dont even want to mess with Q, so im guessing a substantial snowfall would close canpus on thursday. But who knows with UNL
  3. And for the record Im a Junior here at UNL right now majoring in Agribusiness through CBA
  4. Hmm interesting. I think I am in the same class, but with a different professor. We don't do stupid activities like this. C'mon now were in college! Vocab should be something you learn on your own time. Professors need to stay focused on teaching applications of the principles you learn, because memorizing a couple of terms will not help you at all in the real business world. But all in all I am usually very happy with the professors at CBA. The accounting professors stink, but the marketing, management, and especially economics departments are awesome. Dr. Asarta teaches a lot of the econ courses here and while his classes can be tough, he is an amazing educator. Says from the very first class that his goal in intro to economics is for his students to be able to read the business section in the paper and understand it. And he does exactly that
  5. Wanna know whats wrong with this world? How about the massive number of people cheering for Dorner. Sickening

Need to hear both sides of the story first? Will anything justify a killing spree?

So even if he unjustifiably fired that justifies the 5 innoncent people he killed? People that had nothing to do with his problems in the first place?

During the manhunt, LAPD opened fire on an unarmed man in a truck and two unarmed women delivering newspapers. I mean surely you can't side with a fugitive murderer, but the LAPD is making it a difficult choice

  6. He played for Mississipi State a couple years ago. He tweeted earlier basically saying to recruits not to just commit to a school for the money cuz it doesnt last long and that they might regret their decision later. Says that Miss State never offered him money but a number of other schools did. Did not specifically mention the Ole Miss situtation, but it was prettty evident who he was referring to
  7. If anybody wants to feel better about themselves go visit tigerboard.com. Mizzou fans are in complete meltdown after this fail of a recruiting class. Some people on there saying they hope the kids who decommited die in car crashes. What a bunch of losers down there...

Off topic a little, but I saw that preseason baseball polls have Mizzou as the third best team in the state.....behind Saint Louis and Misssouri State. Ouch

  8. Good point Buster. Ricky Thenarse is a great example of that. Also, wasn't it Johnathon Rose who transferred here to get away from "bad influences" at Auburn?
  9. My bad didnt look see those other links already up. But I got the vibe that he will choose whatever school and coaching staff he feels the most trusting and comfortable with. And what better person to have on him than Terry Joseph. Mackensie commited to Joseph at Tennessee, so I think the Huskers have a legitimate chance (albeit a very small one)
  10. Wow, can't believe Im saying this but great story by ESPN on Alexander. Its on the front of the football page and gives some insight into Mackensies personal life and upbringing and why he is the way he is http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/8912014/mackensie-alexander-five-star-corner-espn-150-game-changer
  11. Of course it is rediculous right now to say he is the next AP. But I agree with everyone else, his style is a spitting image of AP. Love how he welcomes contact AND has the power to bulldoze almost anybody. We need some nicknames for Taylor and Newby. How about Crash N Dash?
  12. Any chance of landing this kid? He's an absolute stud!

  15. Well we all knew it was gonna be an exciting week! Big picture though, none of these losses are crippling. We have guys ready to step up all over the field. Next years gonna be fun

Losing the commits that we have so far haven't been alarming, nor made me upset, but Heard was a different story (if its all true). Not crippling, but could lose our best RB. We have depth, and kids who want to be a Husker. Can't ask more than that, other kids coming here and are unhappy here (Marrow).

I agree with a lot of what you say, HNN, but I don't think it's fair to Ameer to call Heard "our best RB." Ron Brown and Bo have forgot more football than all of us know. I respect that their decision for Ameer to be the #1 is the correct decision. He is our best RB. Not trying to jump all over you, because I agree with everything else.

    3. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

IMO, I think he is the best "naturally" I guess I should say. Ameer is the best with his elusiveness. They are both strong in different depths. I guess I am more favoring in Heard's style. Favoring I might be doing, but Ameer is talented, and would likely be our #1 next year, but Heard was a legit threat.

  16. And Im 5 minutes late to the party....GBR!
  17. Hearing that Alabama will likely not be offering Mr. Kneval Also that David's in home visit with Bo went excellent. David's mother seemed pretty leery of Saban's BS. Interesting how ESPN keeps harping about no parent would want their kids coached by "madman" Pelini, yet every recruits parents say Bo is the most "honest and straightforward" coach they have met while recruiting. We may not have 5* talent lining up at Bo's door, but I can sleep good at night knowing that our staff is 100% commited to creating better men in life. Don't think Mr. Saban can say the same
  18. Not trying to sound argumentative here, just actually wondering. But why is it that Courtney Love will probably decommit? I know Marrow was a big part of recruiting him, but he is not the LB coach. Why is marrow so important to him?
  19. I dont think there is any way that Bo would make Vince our ace recruiter without some sort of plan to keep him there long term. If Bo was not planning on making him a coach, well that's inexcusable and totally on Bo. Vince and Stoops grew up together and are childhood friends. He may have left purely for the reason of wanting to coach with his friend, Imo
  20. Its all over twitter being reported by multiple people who have claimed to have spoken with Morrow. Callahan sounds pretty certain as well.
  21. He must have deleted it. But Marrow is at Kentucky and was quoted a minute ago saying he "cant believe his childhood friend got a head a coaching job" and is looking forward to turning around the kentucky program
  22. Hmm interesting. Sipple just tweeted that he had talked to Marrow and he confirmed that he was taking the job. But I also have a hard time believing that Marrow would not even give Bo a chance to sit down and talk about his future here
  23. Apparently it is a done deal: Marrow will be coaching at kentucky and is already on campus starting to work per Brian Eldridge, Kentuckys Scout contributor
  24. I think Barney would be great to have somewhere in the administration. Say what you will you will about his coaching, but he is loyal to the university and a good representative of it. Barney has also had a heckuva time getting healthy, so a job away from the sidelines might be the best thing for him at this point.
