  1. I guess I'm one of the only ones that doesn't have a problem. It was a terrible call, and I love Bo's passion. It gets me fired up (at least when he represented NU). (But yes, he did go a little over board in this case).
  2. Great win indeed! I know you've been critical of the staff but I'd like to thank you for not being a Negative Nancy when so many others are. Thank you sir! No, thank you. Sometimes it's good to be wrong.
  3. That it is f'ing fun to win. (And that Mich St will not be the same with thier dc leaving last year. They were a different team.)
  4. I cracked up once because right after Cook threw an incomplete pass they talked about what amazing QB he was. The announcers were terrible. They had to eat their words a couple times. The most notable was when we were 1st and goal, we threw the ball and the fans started to boo wanting a run. The announcers then proceeded to explain that the fans didn't understand and that throwing the ball was the right call (and that's the way to get it in the end zone with mich st d line). As he was making this point, tommy threw an int.
  5. I don't know for sure if it was a good or bad call, as they didn't have a good angle of the contact that resulted in him going out of bounds. But, from what we did have, it did look a little weak. (But the person in Sanders45 post does make a good point).
  6. I'm glad I saw this thread. I read a couple others and was like - wtf? Are you not ecstatic right now? Because I am. Great win.
  7. Agree. Imani was the man. He just didn't run well. Today, he had an air of confidence that helps other players and get us fans pumped up. Very easy to cheer for him. Class act.
  8. The audacity of this administration never ceases to amaze me.
  9. Ahem: Those two statements are unrelated. Where does Eichorst say we will win a championship in 2015, 2016, or 2017? So... this program has the players to win championships, but not before they all graduate. Interesting perspective Did he say we have every player at all the right positions we need to win championships? Would he even know, or was that just positive talk? What's he supposed to say: "Our players are sh#t!" Your perspective is not interesting. It's repetitive. Your perspective has multiple logic flaw and is repetitive in showing us your wrong about everything you post. Is cm your sister, or just your other account? I answered in in advance. See my previous reply.
  10. Yeah, the run was really due to Devaney and Osborne, and really it was mostly Osborne's 25 years. Nebraska's football identity can't be one hall-of-fame coach's record of accomplishments. If it is, we will always be disappointed. I doubt there will ever be another Osborne or another era like 72-97. There will never be another Osborne, especially at the rate we fire successful coaches and replace them with average to sh**ty ones. So you are 256 posts into your new career as a HuskerBoard poster, and as I understand it you were chased off/wore out your welcome at another Husker fan board? Just want to know what we're working with here. Were you wronged on this other board? Read his post if you want to know what your working with. Were you wronged by him?

And damaging I don't blindly support this administration. I think Shawn Eichorst should have chased Bo Pelini to Youngstown and beaten him with a sack of doorknobs to get some of the University's money back, but hey, what can you do? Yeah, we should of got rid of him because he wasn't classy enough like you?

  13. Ahem: Those two statements are unrelated. Where does Eichorst say we will win a championship in 2015, 2016, or 2017? FYI - the "kids" can only play 4 years (absence unusual circumstances)
  14. Which is what worries me...if the press conferences continue to be rough...Riley and his staff might leave for one of the many openings that have already been reported. You seriously think anyone would hire him now? I like to see how that hire would go over with that teams fan base.
  15. Well said. I'm always amazed that people believe Bo's ceiling was 9 wins, when in fact that was his floor. Whereas, a person like Riley who has never won any championship and coached for many years has somehow a better chance of bringing us the promised land.
  16. That's the thing about history, its in the past. Riley washed out around 2009 and slid on thin ice each season just barely scraping by, plus he was not allowing OSU to be in a better position to win by protecting his good ole boys. As for the current record, it's to be expected. Riley left the cupboard more than dry with no QB's (atleast developed) and with the 9th youngest team in the nation. Gary Andersen is WAY out recruiting Riley in his first year with a losing season. Riley had low expectations placed upon him and thus he could get by being mediocre with the occasional "good" season. That won't cut it in Nebraska though, he doesn't have what it takes to take a program to the next level (or maintain a high level) and he's being exposed for it. I appreciate your input. Please don't take offense at some of the posters here. To defend their ego and past statements, they have to attack others. Sorry for their actions.
  17. Considering they won 9 games last year with many of the same guys it really isn't even close to being delusional. Who do we have that is equivalent to Ameer?Who do we have that is equivalent to Randy Gregory? Who do we have that is equivalent to Kenny Bell? Who do we have that is equivalent to Zaire Anderson? Now add in about 20 different injuries and maybe, just maybe you guys might start to understand that we are very talent deficient. Yes, we have some talented players on the team right now, but you need more than 5 or 6 (or even 11). You need around 20-30 talented players to compete, and 30-40 to start thinking championships. Excuses. Every year there are injuries and people that leave. Of course, they "could" win ten games. I love how people now explain, after the losses, that it's a talent issue. All I remember in the offseason is how we have talent and can easily win 9 games. It's call revisionist history.
  18. And even if Bo was right, it still doesn't mean he was justified in how he left town and aired his dirty laundry. You didn't see me say that, did you? I merely said that he was right about his assessment of Eichorst. So we're in agreement then? Show me the person that thinks the player meeting was a good idea? I mean, I get where Pelini was coming from and I understand his anger, but of course that wasn't the right way to do things. Acknowledging that the guy was right about something is not an endorsement of him or his behavior. I'm that guy. I have no problem with the meeting and what he said. (Yes, I know I'm in the extreme minority).
  19. Have you considered the fact that you are the problem? (Just so you know, this is a redundant question).
  20. Back on point, Williams is a baller and showed that on Saturday. (And I a very, very glad we have Gerry. I can't believe you are giving him sh#t. I guess your all perfect.)
