  1. It's been widely reported, and I've not disputed it, that addictions are a serious problem during this time. People are home alone and not getting the support they need. This is a problem along with depression and a rise in domestic abuse. However, your post claimed that homeless people are drinking $50 bottles of scotch because they received a payment from the government. Can you tell me how that's possible? And....I looked through the first two links and didn't see it. In these links do they mention how homeless people are taking the assistance checks and buying $50 bottles of scotch?
  2. You may be right. It took electing him to realize that elections matter and electing someone who is a corrupt, narcissistic, incompetent, con man is a bad thing. Hopefully we move forward from here with this lesson learned and never do it again. It just took electing the mostest greatest one of all those the world has ever seen.
  3. Soo...you post a quote from a random message board person that literally has no way of being within the realm of reality.....and I'm being unreasonable for calling it BS. Also, I skimmed the article you posted. I didn't see it. Could you please point out where in the article it talks about drug use and overdoses have increased because they received an assistance check?
  4. That quote is a load of BS. The only way you got a payment is if you filed income taxes and had them direct deposited. How many of those homeless people or heroin addicts have done that do you think? Stop believing total bull s#!t that spreads conspiracy theories. Can you give us the link as to where you got that quote?
  5. I fully support what he's doing even though it was frustrating last year. Question: Back when we had a freshman team, I believe it was also against the rules for a Freshman to play on varsity. Could a player play on the freshman team during his redshirt season?
  6. Who feels safe with these idiots in charge?
  7. Well...unless it makes your agenda look bad. Right @Notre Dame Joe?
  8. CNN is so horrible. They are trying to convince Trump of not doing this to himself.
  9. That is a reaction of a very scared person. This is pathetic that we have such an imbecile as President. I’m all for him being the first to try it. I’ve started IVs before, can I please do this? its a game changer.
  10. Maybe has a society we need to stop selling tin foil.
  11. This is something that has bothered me. Ever since I have started hearing about these situations, I've thought there has to be something that can be done and I've been trying to figure out how I could somehow, in a small way, do something through our local food banks to at least take some of it. But, you pretty much have to be in the food distribution industry already. I'm glad someone has taken up the idea and ran with it. As always, we don't have a food supply problem. We have a food distribution problem.
  12. I'm sure they weren't looking for people who have sex alone.
  13. You're probably right. They were angry with Bush about the bailouts. Then the black muslim guy from Kenya that was sent here to destroy America with Hillary was voted in and continued them. America was all going to go broke with huge deficits until Trump could come in and save the day.
  14. Who said anything about complete and blind trust? There is a big difference between questioning and confirming information you get and....believing conspiracy theories.
  15. Qanon is convincing isn't it. It's difficult when the facts don't meet your conspiracy theory.
  16. Pardon me if having a conversation with Laura about sex is about the farthest thing from anything I desire.
  17. This is very very true. The Tea Party was mostly formed after right wing conspiracy believers didn't like the fact that Obama bailed out the banks did something they thought was going to bankrupt America because the deficits were going to be so HUGE. So, they vote in Trump as the "business man" that's going to save the world and run the government like a business. Meanwhile, the deficits have been even higher, the bailouts have been even bigger and the economy isn't growing any faster (even before the pandemic). It's all in seen through the eye of whomever they support in office. Obama was the left wing liberal Democrat that was born in Kenya and sent here to destroy America along with Hillary that's going to steal everything. Meanwhile, we have a whack job in the WH now that IS destroying America and stealing everything. And...they think it's FANTASTIC. It's honestly one of the most amazing things to watch....if you can fight back the tears.
  18. Yep...it's a perk. It's slimy but still haven't had anyone tell me what laws were broken. Yeah...an interesting thing that gets twisted by the Hunter conspiracy theorists is, Joe (not single handedly) got the prosecutor fired because he actually WASN'T investigating Burisma. It's something that doesn't fit into their conspiracy, so they conveniently just change the fact and keep saying it. You say it enough and people start to believe it.
  19. No, it's not normal, constructive, honest or healthy to lean towards conspiracy theories on how the world works or using them to help make decisions.
  20. I still continue to see people say, "what's the big deal, this is no worse than the flu". FYI....The flu season from October through March killing 60,000 people would be an average of 330 people per day. If you look at March 10 when deaths started to increase, we are averaging 681 deaths per day. For the last 2 weeks, we are averaging around 2,000 and that's with social distancing. This is not just another flu.
