  1. I fail to see how my post was wrong. I paraphrased and didn't quote the entire discussion. But, in essence....the gist is, "you don't understand the view of a black person, so don't do it".
  2. I hadn't seen him in probably several years. I'm told after he stopped wrestling, he had gained a lot of weight. Other than that, no.
  3. So, he's been at a JUCO this whole time and obviously got his academics worked out?
  4. I'll admit, the whole blackface thing is confusing to me. I fully understand if I put on blackface and purposely act stereotypically as a black man as a thug, druggy, pimp, unemployed...etc. However, I don't understand I can be considered racist if I go on halloween dressed up in blackface as maybe Obama, or Denzel Washington. It wasn't too long ago, (for the life of me I can't remember who, possibly a SCOTUS nominee?) was crucified in the public because back in college or HS there was a picture taken of him dressed up as a black man in black face. When I questioned why, I was simply told, you shouldn't ask why, if black people think it's racist, then it's racist. Just don't do it. So.....I guess I will never go out on Halloween dressed as a black guy even though the context of what I may be doing it isn't disrespectful....at least in my mind. I remember Ted Danson used to date Whoopy Goldberg. There was a lot of crap going around about her dating a white guy. So...at some public event (maybe an awards show) he showed up in blackface as a joke. OMG...people were outrage. Why?
  5. Personally, I think this is a copout attitude. Is there or could there be bias in anything? Sure. And, we should always be aware of that. BUT...there is a huge difference between a reporter researching a story, finding the facts, reporting it with a slight slant that is many times not on purpose, and someone who purposely wakes up in the morning knowing their goal in life is to twist the story around to meet their agenda. This is a copout attitude because it assumes everything is the purposely twisted story so why even try to distinguish between the two.
  6. This is from 9 hours ago and it’s still up.
  7. Here’s an example of a rocket surgeon.
  8. Oh s#!t. This is BURKHALTER not BUCKHALTER. Please ignore me. I read the name wrong.
  9. Well, I’m sad to say I won. I’m the first to know someone who died. He was in his late twenties and wrestled in college.
  10. Well, I hope we do get more rebounds from better players. For the record, I don’t think I ever said I wanted 5 guys from the outside crashing the boards. I remember times last year when we had players within 10’ of the basket and they don’t stay there to even try. I remember times when the ball would literally bounce off the rim right to where our guy just vacated because he just turned and ran. I hope Hoiberg’s system is successful. It was at ISU. Maybe it’s the best option for Nebraska because we have sucked at recruiting big guys anyway.
  11. Here’s the thought that goes through my mind on that though, we continue to have problems with teams getting second and third shots on their end of the court. If teams aren’t thinking offensive rebounds are important, why is that?
  12. Excuse me? Melodrama? Im discussing a part of the game. For which I wish we were better than 237th.
  13. I understand that. I guess that's different than the "fit" question.
  14. Great....so we are waving the white flag on offensive rebounds. Glad to know that.
  15. Both, if you win against Wisconsin but lose to Iowa, chances are, the season will be looked at about the same as beating Iowa and losing to Wisconsin.
