  1. I saw nothing that indicated he treated it like a joke. He felt ill and went to work anyway just like very single one of us have. And...no....if my kid was on the team, I wouldn't want him canned. An extremely healthy college athlete is probably the least likely person to have complications from this. Why are you trying to fake over reaction to the issues last night?
  2. Look, everyone is just now starting to figure out the seriousness of all of this. Unfortunately, that took longer than it should have because of some public people's attitude towards it. Fred shouldn't have coached. But, he shouldn't be fired either. Is this going to be deadly for the vast majority of us? No. But...the issue is much more than just if we (individually) are going to die. The longer and wider it spreads, the more people will die who are elderly or immune compromised. For the rest of us, the longer this goes on, it will be anywhere from more inconvenient to very economically damaging. So.....friggen stop treating it like a joke, do what is necessary so we can get it over with and move on with life.
  3. I mentioned it as something I THOUGHT everyone would agree wouldn’t be a good idea. Guess I shouldn’t make assumptions.
  4. Exactly...look, I actually like AOC because she says some things that need said. But no.
  5. Ummm...no. Just because she has a degree in economics doesn’t qualify her for this job.
  6. Sorry, but a treasury secretary should be a banker. That doesn’t mean they should be the sole person who sets banking regulation or monetary policy. What, are you going to put AOC in charge of it?
  7. Ok....living in central Nebraska and having friends and family in cities all over the country who wonder how I love living in small town Nebraska.....I found this tweet funny. All of a sudden everyone is talking about social distancing like it’s a new thing.
  8. I’m not expecting this to be as bad as 1918. But, I love history, especially Nebraska history, and found this interesting. I didn’t know it hit Nebraska so hard.
  9. For the most part I agree with you. Where you can fault him though, is that much of this free fall is because the majority of Americans don't have faith in him handling and being honest in a crisis like this. Also, if we hadn't given a gazzilion dollars in tax breaks when we shouldn't have, he would have that in his pocket as stimulus if it gets to that point. Now, we were already running a trillion dollar deficit. He can't go any farther down on taxes (even though he has suggested to). He fought against raising interest rates because it would make him look bad. So, now we don't have that to do if we need it to stimulate the economy. So.....for the most part, we can't blame him for the pandemic. BUT....we can blame him for not having the country in a position to be respond to a down turn in the economy. AND....for being such a lying sack of s#!t that the country doesn't trust him to keep us safe from the threat.
  10. Welcome to about 10 people I've talked to this week.
  11. Pardon me if I'm needing a break from a President who wants to tear the "system" apart. I need some normalcy. Biden isn't perfect. But, I see him as a calming influence that can hopefully get us back to an era of at least reasonableness.
  12. That's pretty much every offense in football. But...it's over stated. It's probably the most team oriented sport there is. Yes, everything goes through the QB. But, as we've seen, if you don't have a good line, it doesn't work. If we don't have good WRs, it doesn't work. Our offenses of the 90s wouldn't have been anywhere close to as good if we didn't have the QBs we had. This year's Hiesman Trophy winner wouldn't have been anywhere close to as good as he was with out the line and, especially, the WRs around him.
  13. Just to try to point out what should be so blatantly obvious..... In 2016, Idaho held their last Caucuses and roughly 23,000 people participated. In 2020, Idaho held their first Primary and over 107,000 people voted. Please outlaw caucuses.
  14. You're right. The wall isn't racist. It's a wall. I'm sitting in a room surrounded by four walls. They aren't racist either. The issue is that the support for the wall was 1000% built on racism. The entire movement under Trump has been racist motivated. Why do you think David Duke, the KKK and the Neo Nazis have celebrated in the streets over his election? Why does he have people like Steve Bannon and others in his administration that are openly white supremists? Everyone (including Trump) knows this wall is a big hoax. No way does it keep those brown people out. The ONLY reason why Trump is pushing for it is to keep the aforementioned people supporting him. Because.....that's a major part of his base. Deporting illegal immigrants isn't racist either. It's part of running a country. However, mass deportation of certain people while refusing to fix immigration policies because you don't want them in your country....is racist. That's what we have seen for way too long in this country. I do find it funny that Trump tries claiming that Obama and the Democrats want open borders and hate America and they are all for letting violent criminal illegals out on the streets. Meanwhile, deportations increased under Obama and a lot of that was by deporting illegals that committed crimes.
  15. I would suspect that if the game gets out of hand, Fred will give them some minutes to reward them for sacrificing missing football practices. Other than that, if we really get into foul trouble or injuries, I would think that's the only way they're seeing the court.
  16. I thought it was pretty self explanatory. The people I know that Support Trump the most, agree with him that people they don’t agree with hate America. They need to stand for the flag, guns and God Gotd*mnit. Then, turn around and talk about how much they hate the government and want to change a hell of a lot about our Country because they are so pissed off. They even hate it so much they demand to be able to hoard guns to prepare for the inevitable war with their own country. The posts above just made me think about it.
  17. Something I’m confused at. Trump keeps claiming people who oppose him hates America and they need to suck it up and Love America like true patriots do. Then, all I hear from his supporters is how much they hate and fear the government and want to change and tear it apart as much as possible. I agree whole heartedly that the government should be as small and efficient as possible. But, I wouldn’t say I HATE the government. Seems to me Trump and his supporters hate what America is a lot.
  18. Well....now we know what Republicans look for in a President.
