Ok....I told my daughter I wanted to go back to the rail because I used to go there all the time and she about freaked. claims it’s been turned into more of a club atmosphere that people my age just don’t belong in. what’s with that?

I'm still not going to vote for someone just because they aren't Trump. I definitely won't be voting for Trump. But, if the Dems want my vote, put someone up that is reasonable and that I can support.

FIFY OK....this is probably only for people who were around in the 80s. But, somewhere like on P or Q there was a great bar south of campus where you had to walk up stairs and there were lots of pool tables, foosball tables...etc. Anyone remember the name?

I think everyone would be happy if it were separated out. It honestly is one of the biggest issues I hate dealing with and I know many other managers who agree with me. Thing is, I'm not sure employees would really see a bump in salary because of it...but, at the same time, they wouldn't need to pay premiums, so...net net...they could be ahead. There's a good chance everyone's taxes would need to go up to pay for it. HOWEVER.....and this is the big thing. I believe there's a strong chance that increase in taxes would be much less than what people are paying now in premiums. THAT is what we need to be looking at.

There are lots of things some conservatives have been for now or in the past that liberals think are bat s#!t crazy (Radical). The wall. Lower taxes Elimination of Estate Tax Against sex education in schools Anti Abortion laws Reduce or eliminating departments of the government (Department of Education is an example) I could go on.

The issue is that the vast majority of people who have an idea......don't think it's radical. Other people who may not agree with that idea is going to label it RADICAL!!!!!! You see that from both sides. (yes, I used those words). It's the way people in power keep their sheep in the flock. Label everything from the other side radical and it scares the sheep.

I never have figured out what the value is with something like this unless I played to win it.

I have never ever ever sat around with fellow business owners talking about how wonderful it is to be able to control employees with health insurance. Most would LOVE to not have to deal with it. Your first paragraph is way off of he mark.

Unfortunately, that is true.....but, it shouldn't be. The level of "radical" that is needed is sometimes dependent on the severity of the problem. With healthcare, I point to the old saying that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. We've been doing this system long enough and it's not working. Time to do something radical to fix it. Just need an honest debate over the subject.

Naaa...just a guy with experience. There was one thing I did really really really well in college in the 80s....and that was drinking and knowing where the parties were and which to go to.

No, I would explain to him that they are the worst parties in Lincoln. There has to be better. At least that was true in the 80s. Unless you are into a bunch of roided up egotistical idiots constantly getting into fights.

I would agree. He just needs to pick a place close to family and end the process. Now.....that is....unless it's the family that's causing all the stress in the process....which does happen.
