  1. Well, the futures are pointing towards about a 250 point rise at the opening. We'll see if that holds through the day though. The labor report that came out this morning could help keep it up.
  2. So, you’re agreeing with me in this post but not the previous one.
  3. Thanks for making my point. We shot 65% I believe. (15 of 23). The difference between 65% and 75% is 2.25 made FTs. That's enough to tie the game. Make 76% and we win. Just from FREE throws. Not sure why my post is "lazy". But....what ev.....
  4. They're called "FREE" throws for a reason. They should be almost automatic. It is always a big frustration for me when a player isn't good at shooting free throws. Quite honestly, it's laziness in not willing to put the time in doing something so mundane in the gym to get good at it. If you're playing at this level, you should be able to do it with eyes closed.....literally.
  5. It's the measurement most bragged about in the locker room.
  6. I agree. The arguments and debates should be at the time of the budget....not when the bills need to be paid.
  7. This is an example of the conundrum the Dems and any Repub that challenges Trump are in. It's not always that what he proposes is wrong....but HOW he proposes to do it is what's wrong. Another example is border security. The majority of people on both sides understand we need border security. However, the devil is in the details. It's about how you do it and the manner in which you do it that counts. This is going to take more than just sound bites on the evening news to educate the voting public on what the real issues are.
  8. If he does that to a woman behind the counter at a McDonalds over a straw, imagine what he does to his wife and kids when he doesn't get what he wants.
  9. Yeah. Education isn’t important.
  10. Look, I get it. Now that Trump is in office and is the most disgusting human being ever to hold the office, it’s easy for the Dems now to claim everything that ever has been Republican and conservative is all about Trump. It’s their path to victory gin 2020.
  11. So, @StPaulHusker , let me ask this. It seems that you view polls as a slice in time. Meaning, that's how a team is playing right now. So, Nebraska lost 6 games in a row to start the season. They weren't on anyone's radar as far as rankings. BUT....the team changed in the middle of the season and we beat Minnesota by a wide margin, took care of business against BC and then played a very competitive game against the #8 team in the country and lost by only 5 points. If we are going to look at polls only as a slice in time, couldn't there be an argument that Nebraska should have been ranked at some point during the end of the season? And...oh BTW....they refuse to schedule other P5 teams....especially away from home.
  12. About 7 or 8 years ago I was in South Bend Indiana on business, with a Notre Dame fan. We had some time so we walked around the campus. The stadium was wide open for us to walk and see it. I've walked right into Memorial Stadium in Lincoln with my little kids and let them run around on the field before. Heck, I knew kids that purposely walked across the field every day going to class because they two gates at opposing corners would be open for a clear shot across the field.
  13. OK, then I'm confused.....because you said, anyone who is a Republican in Washington doesn't deserve the right to represent us. This statement seems to differ from that in that it opens the door to the fact that some Republicans can try to change the party from within. If they are "disqualified" from representing us simply because they are Republicans, then when do they get the chance to change the party? In this case, when can Romney have a chance to change the party if he is condemned before he even gets there.....even though he is heavily criticizing what we all have been criticizing for the last 2 years?
  14. That's been one of my biggest problems for years back when the polls chose the champion. Once a team was in the polls, they were, many times, given the benefit fo the doubt for issues throughout the season....while one that doesn't start in the polls, struggled to get respect even though they're winning games. To @Moiraine point. If this is "where they are now", why wouldn't the preseason poll simply be the final poll of the previous season?
  15. This is a case of different opinions on what polls mean. Your meaning of a poll is very foreign to me.
  16. So, my next statement is true in your eyes.
  17. Aren't all polls predictions of where someone thinks the team will end up?
  18. I agree. And, this is an example of why. So, if you think a team is going go finish 19th in the country, wouldn't you put them there in your rankings?
  19. So, in your opinion, anyone who even tries to be a vocal critic and change the party from within, is a worthless piece of crap. Hmmm...interesting. So, no need for any Republican to ever criticize Trump or try to make things better....because everyone's already made up their minds anyway.
  20. OK...that dude is a big dude already. It makes me chuckle when I see WR listed as possible position in the OP.
