  1. The non competes I’m aware of are not like that. If the company fires you, it’s null and void. Also, you don’t have to start all over. You can still work in the industry and even call on some of your existing customers. And, again, it’s very difficult to enforce. I don’t have a problem with this change.
  2. In a sales manager position, you’re paying someone a lot of money to build relationships. That’s not a lot different than if they a scientist takes technical secrets to another company. Like I said, the customer can call the company up and buy. It’s not prohibiting that. The sales manager can’t just change and actively switch everyone. And, it’s typically just customers of a certain size. The vast majority of customers, this doesn’t affect. And, again, I don’t really have a problem with this change. Just pointing out one area that the laws @Archy1221 mentioned doesn’t apply and I can see where I could agree with an agreement.
  3. This changed me. I’m buying a MAGA hat and quitting my job to follow him around waving a TRUMP flag. I’m going to save ‘Merica. I implore you all to do the same.
  4. The biggest area in my industry that I’ve seen it used is with sales managers. Not the regional sales managers, but the national sales manager for the company. The NC is that they can’t call on customers over a certain size for a certain period of time. Like I said, I’ve never used it (mainly because I haven’t had to). But, I really don’t have a problem with something like that. Hey, the sales manager can still work in the industry, just certain customers are off limits to actively call on. Also, if the customer calls the other company and wants to buy, that’s fine. This also points politely a main reason why I don’t have a problem with this change, they’ve always been almost impossible to enforce. You have to have some pretty damning evidence. I did hire a VP of production that had an NC with his previous company but, it was just that he couldn’t work with a certain raw material.
  5. Don’t know. But he should explain. Or, it’s because the nominee didn’t want it. Since, that’s why it died.
  6. I've never signed one and I've never asked someone to sign one. So, this really doesn't affect me that much. However, there are some industries where they are having an "oh f#&%" moment. Mostly in technology. And, I can see their point. You have certain people that you pay to develop certain things....they can just jump ship and take all your secrets with them. However, I do see the employee's point of view too.
  7. @teachercd Well, SOUNW all of a sudden thinks it's hot stuff today, up 35%. To bad it has to go another 44% for me to break even.
  8. I'll leave that judgement up to the coaches. I agree with @Mavric that it's probably all NIL, just a matter of how much and is he happy with it. I hope we get him.
  9. This seems like it's just a matter of him finding out what kind of offer we are going to give him. Is he on scholarship? Is he just on NIL? Then, he will be N.
  10. This is his MO. If he accuses someone of something against him, assume he's actually the one doing it.
  11. I have my 401K that I very very seldom ever look at. I have an old IRA that I started when I owned a different business. That one I play around in. I tend to buy a stock and hardly ever sell.
  12. Trump is trying so hard to get thrown in jail. Fox is doing his bidding by stirring up anger over it in his base.
