I agree in part. What is unfortunate is that so many parents never get the vaccination for their kids that we NEED to vaccinate babies. If everyone got vaccinated, we could wait a year or even more to get babies their vaccines. But people are f'ing stupid, so we can't.

Part of this has been fostered by the right's general distrust of science. The "They have a financial interest in it!" nonsense that we see in global warming is the same BS you see from some anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorists. Also, no more with the phrase "anti-vaxxer" They are quite clearly "pro-disease".

Yet people aren't doing it? Why? Because some junk science came out in the early 2000s (that has later been thoroughly discredited), and some celebrities picked up on it. And too many Americans would rather believe a celebrity than a scientist for some reason. That's it. Some people drive drunk, drive without their seatbelts on, refuse to use a proper carseat for their kids, etc etc. It's all still against the law.

People who choose not to vaccinate their kids for funsies should be charged with child neglect. You have no right to tell other people how to raise their children. Tell that to the guy in jail for punching his kid. And try to tell me how allowing your kid to get a deadly, preventable disease is better than that.

Every member I've suspended knows why they were suspended. I have no double standard. Again, this focus on Landlord is bizarre. Why not pick any one of another two dozen posters who've been suspended or banned? Why him? Why landlord? Because the fat toad incident is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen on a Husker message board. If Landlord had been permabanned for that status update, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now? Or there would be a different name in the conversation? I'm confused. But landlord knows what he was suspended for? The same can't be said for several of our newly banned members who have yet to hear from anyone affiliated with the board. Hence the double standard.

I'm not blaming landlord for currently banned members. You asked where the double standard was, I pointed to one.

That's pretty much where I'm at with all of this. I look at the list of people getting banned and can't figure out why other posters seemingly post garbage all the time with immunity. 1) Who are these "other posters?" Landlord, most specifically. Christ, he posted a picture of some girl's driver's license and he didn't get banned for that?

Poor Bo Peep. The big bad administration was really holding him back.

I guess many of us feel like an explanation would help us understand the seemingly arbitrary nature of the bans. Why some posters are banned and some seem able to do and say anything they want.
