  1. And how does this help us? It doesn't. I'm not sure why Republicans hate the environment so much. I would've thought they'd do everything in their power to protect God's creation.
  2. Yea. Whats that going to do? It certainly isn't going to give Hilary the presidency. I don't think the left should actually root for Trump being impeached. If it happens you'll be begging for him to come back. It's not about Hillary. It's about removing a devastatingly incompetent and downright abhorrent human being from the most dignified desk in the world.
  3. Explain this one to me. 0 deaths from terrorists posing as refugees since 2001. All of a sudden we aren't vetting well enough and we need to ban them. Even though they haven't killed anyone. 30k+ deaths a year from gun violence. No extreme vetting. Shouldn't we do something about that? "Fru, refugees aren't citizens!" Well, constitutional rights have been interpreted to extend to non citizens http://www.forbes.com/sites/danielfisher/2017/01/30/does-the-constitution-protect-non-citizens-judges-say-yes/#7e58d0d55520 http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/immigration/255281-yes-illegal-aliens-have-constitutional-rights
  4. Relax a bit. Half of that is bordering on incoherence. But again, 0 deaths by terrorists posing as refugees since 2001. I understand that despicable methods are used involving kids, the elderly, the disabled etc. But again, 0 deaths from terrorists posing as refugees.
  5. I'm just going off the stats. 0 murders from terrorists posing as refugees since 9/11. But if putting a 5 year old girl in handcuffs is what it takes for you to feel safe, then hey, I guess we have the right occupant for the Oval Office!
  6. It doesn't. It's a distraction issue to get the rubes riled up and anyone that opposes it hates safety, security and America.
  7. Defend what? Are you including all those losers that voted for 3rd party candidate that must feel like sh#t. For example, I've asked plenty of times for someone to defend putting Rick Perry in charge of the nukes. I'm yet to get a response. Or defending putting a 5 year old in handcuffs. https://twitter.com/barrytgoldberg/status/826040518060699650 Or having someone like Bannon on National Security council. Not divesting from his businesses. Ya'know. Things like that. To your second question. Yes, to a degree. I'm not going to refer to them losers. I'm sure there's plenty of people who voted 3rd party who wish they hadn't now.
  8. There have been zero deaths from refugees. This is an invented problem, just like voter fraud.
  9. I think some people are feeling ostracized because for too long they've enjoyed the comfort of their opinions and have not experienced the discomfort of thought, critical thinking and fact checking. (Roundabout JFK quote) I think some people are feeling ostracized because they're realizing they got snowed into voting for a reality show TV star. I think some people are feeling ostracized because they're uninformed and being called on it. I think some people are feeling ostracized because during the campaign they could do mental gymnastics and rationalize that Trump wasn't as bad as Hillary, and now that the Hillary comparison is gone, they're now having to defend the indefensible. I think some people are feeling ostracized because they're finally realizing that their votes have consequences
  10. Some random dude from Ohio isn't a barometer for the country. CARL!
  11. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2017/01/30/president-trump-refugee-executive-order-barack-obama/97249540/ "In 2011, the State Department significantly slowed the number of visas it issued to Iraqis in order to review its vetting process. The concern stemmed from the arrests of two Iraqi refugees on terrorism charges in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 2011. One of the men was linked through fingerprints to an improvised explosive attack in Bayji, Iraq"
  12. I believe current vetting practices began in 2011. There was a threat in Kentucky from two refugees that was mitigated, which was a catalyst for the Obama administration to strengthen vetting processes.
  13. The case made here is not too far fetched, especially when one takes into account how many Federal vacancies and dismissals have occurred. And this, coupled with the theory that Trump is using this action as a way to find out who is loyal to the United States or the Trump Administration (with the explicit purpose of replacing the former with more of the latter) does not bode well for our country. Also, going back to the 'golden showers' dossier... Yeah...interesting indeed. It's amazing how the pro-Trump folks seem to have scurried away from the light of this and other threads as of late. :-| What's the point in even commenting at this point? There's no way folks are really going to listen to anything. Everyone is so worked up it's just not worth it to me. I'd love to listen to someone explain their support for an administration that thinks putting 5 year olds in handcuffs at the airport is a good idea. See..........it's assumed I'm okay with that, even though I never said that at any point, just because I voted for Trump. #assumptions He campaigned on doing this. You must've been okay with it enough to vote for him.

  15. If that's true, that's disgusting. There's no reason to put those people in handcuffs. Let alone a child that is easily under 6 years old.

  17. Where's all of this fiscal responsibility I've heard oh so much about?
  18. Deplorables. And the women were yelling back. Stupid situation all around. Yes, how dare women yell back at a group of men making light of sexual assault and rape. Thank you for agreeing with me. I don't.
  19. Intriguing question, I'll attempt at fielding it. Are drone strikes part of the Democratic Party's agenda as a whole that the entire party is working to support or are drone strikes something that each occupant of the Oval Office for the foreseeable future is going to have to handle, regardless of party affiliation? Is it contradiction or is it an unfortunate by product that the office has right now? I think all of us can discern that there are things our favorite Presidents have done that we don't agree with. if you think critically It's an interesting question, however I think you could ask yourself "Is this something that comes with the territory? Or is it part of the platform and agenda of a political party?"
  20. ...didn't you vote for this? This comment right here is the perfect example of what is wrong with this part of the board. Knapp, take note as we discussed this before. Yes, I voted for Trump, I did not vote for republican control of every facet of our government. To assume I'm okay with this is an unfair assumption and pretty juvenile to say the least. Personally, I prefer to not have our government or our courts to lean conversative or liberal and this is a perfect example of that. DO NOT start trying to point the finger at me for this. I think that voting for Trump actually is a vote for control. He and the GOP are known entities. You voted for him and on day 5 you're already lamenting the agenda he and the GOP are pursuing? What did you think was going to happen?
  21. It's funny. For years I heard about how much Obama hates America. It seems the GOP are the ones that truly despise everything about the America and are actively working to destroy lives.
