  1. I would encourage you to not up much stock in that recruiting services then. It is that kind of talk that makes fans decide players are busts when they are not all conference in the first year. There is a line between analysis and hyperbole.
  2. Think we should pump the brakes on evaluating unsigned prospects on the two-deep. The OL is especially difficult to be game ready as a true freshman.
  3. How a pessimist smiles... Just a little fun, SPH. Great pick up!
  4. Are you going for an all-or-nothing argument: if Nebraska was able to cope with the death of Sam Foltz and commemorate one of its departed sons under MR, than MR was a good coach that did no harm to this program? Not a strong argument, and I would say shameful to try to use that tragedy to prove a point.
  5. I guess my question is who is the litmus test? In the OP, you took out the two WR returning (Morgan and Spielman), so how can we gauge if a particular WR has improved? Now, if you are asking about the WR corp as a whole, their blocking has improved considerable from the start of the season until now. I don't know what receptions per targets this season. Does anyone have a link? I would say Morgan and Spielman seem to be having less drops (or maybe it is just that they are making more catches during important moments).
  6.  Can we talk about Ozigbo's 1990's style crop-top jersey for a minute?

      JJ Husker

Probably should go with vertical stripes to thin him out a bit

  7. Not inaccurate. However, if you know players from other teams were also tweeting at him then it would be misleading. Is that what you were asking?
  8. Ratings aren't everything, but Nick Henrich is rated higher.
  9. Interesting that you use Stanley as a reference. I get that he is also a WR, but if you wanted to see improved speed in a player from last year to this year in hopes of attributing greater quickness to the new S&C staff, I would say Ozigbo is the poster child.
  10. Interesting that the "lead expert" (Blair Angulo) on Wright's Crystal Ball Predictions made a thread entitled "Javin Wright closing in on decision" on Oct 23rd. The thread is locked for members only, but Angulo has a CB for N. I'm not a member, so I can't tell you what was posted, but...1 + 1...
  11. (/Checks the 90% of predictions that are for Nebraska)......pick 'em
  12. Surprised that the staff found this prospect as he has been to Many high school.
  13. Another fun stat is that Devine has 600 yds rushing in 7 games this season. Last season, he had 493 yds in 10 games. Heck, as a team, Nebraska had 1290 yds rushing last year. This year, they are already at 1539 yds.
  14. You have to go back to the 2014 Season with Ameer Abdullah (1611 yds) before you find Nebraska's last 1,000 yd single-season rusher and to 2012 and a different Martinez before you got a season when Nebraska had two 1,000 yd rushers, Ameer (1137 yds) and Taylor Martinez (1019 yds). As of right now, Devine is at 600 yds and Adrian is at 415. Over the next 5 games, Devine needs to average 80 yds per game and Adrian 117 yds. Now, Nebraska has an uphill climb if they are going to be rushing against Michigan St and Iowa (both tied with the second best rushing defenses) Rushing Defenses Michigan St - T-2nd Iowa - T-2nd Ohio St 57th Illinois 117th Bethune-Cookman 75th in FCS
  15. Funny. That was going to be my response to his tweet in the OP.
  16. Does anyone else watch the game by live streaming it on Hulu? I had to go to a work function midway during the 3rd quarter. I get home to find that Hulu did not record the full game.

Is that just me? Now, I have to wait until it is replayed to see the full game of Frost's first win. Lame.

Looks like Hulu only recorded 2:14:20 worth of the game. That's the first time that's happened, weird. It recorded all of overtime for the Northwestern game...

  17. That was a great coverage sack by Cam Taylor. You could see the QB was starting down #6, but Taylor played press and did not let the WR slant in.
