Hard to compete against them when they don't play fair. Not any facts that I have just lots of alleged recruiting impropriety. Yup, that's the SEC -

Seems like a solid player, but we need to improve his explosion off the line.

The big difference the last few games is Shields remembering that his name is not Petteway!

Clemson is all about number4. Without him, it is a blow out. Whoops, not even in the championship game. -
Ed O was too much like Bo, it was not going to happen. Hughes is a good coach.

How do you know it was not our choice? It wasnt. He likes their new coach from his time at Toledo and wants to stay as close to Chicago as possible. I could not find the article, but Banker stated that they have a number for each position group & that they were looking to add 1 DL. Since they had the option to move McMullen inside, they were looking for a speed rusher. We have no depth at DE, so doing that full time doesn't make much sense. They are looking at 15 schollies for DL and with Valentine leaving, they are only looking for 1 or 2 & speed ends are a priority. The staff seems to be happy with the youth, King, 3 Davis & Neal.

Since I did miss most of the game, how did Shields play? Since conference play, his stats have not been up to par and his rebounding & assist numbers have been less impressive. -

Hope your right. I missed all but 10 minutes of the game. What I did see is that Rutgers plays absolutely no D, but this is a game our youngsters need to build confidence. -

From what I've heard from friends that have double-tested and done well on the ACT, Winter testing is always harder than Spring test. 18 would also be more than enough to get into UNL, as long as GPA is good enough. Ummmm, no. UNL requires MINIMUM of 20 to be accepted. Especially for out-of-state students. GPA doesn't mean anything to colleges. Every high school is different. You could get a 4.0 close to the top of your class at one school that has an easy curriculum....equating to getting a 2.8 and middle of the pack at another high school. GPA doesn't mean sh#t honestly. This doesn't appear to be correct. Link The "or"s would disagree with you. And that's for the general population. Athletes often get a "relaxed" standard. As long as they meet NCAA requirements. My point was that an 18 on your ACT isn't "more than enough" to get you into UNL, or any college for that matter. UNL accepts most in-state students even if they are below 20 on ACT, as long as they finish in the top half of their class. I realize athletes get a little bit of a "relaxed" standard. Please notice the Ors! UNL Performance RequirementsFreshmen applicants should: Score 20 or higher on the ACT, writing portion not required. Or, score a total of 950 or higher on the SAT Critical Reading and Math sections. Or, rank in the top half or their high school graduating class. -

It's honestly quite laughable that you're using this as an argument to say that Nebraska-Omaha is better than Nebraska. If we both played similar opponents and they completely outplayed that team and we lost, that'd be a valid argument, but RPI is not a concrete understanding of which team is better. If this is a rebuilding year, what was last year? How many rebuilding years can you have? If you'd like to bash on a team that includes SEVEN first year players who previously had no experience, that's fine. But, anyone calling for Tim Miles' head either doesn't remember where this program was before he came to Lincoln or demands national championships to form in 5 years. It's absolutely ludicrous to think that the program has regressed. I wasn't making that argument at all, you seem a bit defensive. The RPI is a factor used in college basketball, and Nebraska a school from a P5 program, has a higher RPI than UNO. Excuse that away however you want. Why is Miles using that many freshman in his 4th year at NU? What we will end up with is one good year every 3-4 years, then back to rebuilding. If you can't see an issue with that, then nobody can help you. This team has regressed in a few ways.. one being the overall record. The biggest issue, though isn't about regression it is about progression, or lack thereof. This is why using several transfers and JUCOs don't work. They are good to fill gaps, but are not here long enough to build the program. Miles has a good core from last year and is adding 3 players next year (2 freshman & a transfer) & has a freshman committed for 2017. 1 out of 3 to 4 years does not seem factual. how much would like to wager that is exactly what happens? Wow! Again I am done dealing with you! -

I thought when we hired Hunter, he would get us a good center. It has not happened. -
If nothing else I look forward to hopefully having a serviceable backup behind Tommy. We will also see how Tommy handles better competition.

huskerfan2000 That is the problem you talk about taking these powerhouse conferences and putting a freshman into a successful situation and they can shine. We have a situation where we are trying to take MULTIPLE freshman and expect them to play at the same level as your KU / Duke example - this is not realistic. We start 3 juniors 2 seniors and a redshirt sophomore. Yes, we play freshman but what does that have to do with playing clean, smart basketball? You are making excuses for Miles! What makes those schools powerhouse schools? Coaching!!!!! The last time I looked we start 2 Srs, 2 Fr. & 1 Jr. who is a newcomer. A junior, 2 fresh are first of the bench
