They were an unknown last year who vastly over achieved and so the non- basketball fans that jumped on the bandwagon thought they were just that good. Here is the thing.. We dont have a pure shooter outside of TP... The loss of Gallegos isnt a huge deal but it has affected us. Teams now how to stop us on defense.. just play a really solid zone and wait for us to turn it over. I am bummed with how this year has gone but it isnt over... just take a deep breath and realize that we are still growing and have 4 outstanding players joining this team next year(technically White already joined) And we will have all our starters back next year. Plus, more experience for Smith, Webster & Hammond. I just hope we make the NIT.

White, Smith, Watson, Morrow & whoever we get in the future. The upcoming class proves that Miles can bring players to NE to play. Right now our biggest issue is starting good D1 talent, which we are not and forcing Pettewey & Shield to do too much. Eh, he's shown he can get transfers. High school players, not so much. Smith has looked good early. Hopefully it improves. Morrow & Watson who are both 4 start HS players. Plus, he is getting the higher rated players to visit. This is much better then past coaches.

These types of recruits will show how Riley evaluates talent & teaches them how to play the game.

Watching highlights and him being 6' 2" 210, he looks like a LB.

I believe that 2 star represents players that have not been evaluated. So a lot of special team and small HS players are normally in this rating. It is funny to see a 2 or 3 star player go up at the end of the cycle because Power5 teams are trying to fill spots and they are the best players available.

Come on! They over played last year. We have 2 guys starting, that should be coming of the bench. We had to get a 5th year Sr to add height, who did not start where he was at before and we are playing freshman. Other than Shields, the cupboard was bare when Miles got here. Miles had to get 2 transfers & go out of the states to bring players to make them somewhat competitive. Be patient and let him do his job. We have a 4 star KS transfer, 2 4 star HS players & an Australian 3 pt shooter coming in next year. I am as frustrated as anyone, but the future is bright. Support your Huskers, good or bad!

Another safety? Aren't we pretty stacked at that position? 6' 2', 210 - probably move him to LB. Probably is a plan D or E.

I agree Petteway needs another year and a chance to work with a team, which we do not have right now. Petteway is not a NBA starter but is as good as several bench guards playing now.

The coaches must have seen something on the films that they did not like, so they are getting it fixed.

Y'all are full of sh*t. Face it, we have very little talent on this team. If it was not for Petteway & Shields we are lucky to win 5 games a year. The more I watch Benny & Walter, the more I get sick. Benny has lost his edge, almost like he reached his goal as a starter and now does not have to play hard. Agree or disagree, its the player trying to do too much because there is too little beside them.
