UNLV is guard heavy and now they have Jerome Seagears. Cornish can come to Lincoln and not get lost in the numbers. -

Every kid is different and it depends on their priorities. And we are not a household name when talking basketball. Not yet, anyway!!!!!!!!!!!! -

This is a fan from UNLV tweeting Cornish. He has been bad mouthing NE all dayYa I know that was a UNLV fan I feel like that's just something you don't RT while on your visit. Idk I guess it's not a big deal but just rubs me the wrong way. I feel the same way. There always has to be a few trolls! -

Jordan Cornish @JordanCornish5_ 8h So I got a connecting flight to Denver right ! Why is it snowing ???? Jordan Cornish @JordanCornish5_ 5h Layover in Denver but I'm going to Nebraska -
There must be extras. Why would you play for a team that can not win more then 2 games a year.
-
That would be tough however we have beaten good teams, it just depends whether or not we put a complete performance together. We do not want to be in the same regional as Virginia. They are probably the team to beat to win it all!

Tai Webster compared to highly regarded player!
SouthLincoln Husker replied to Haspula's topic in Husker Basketball
SouthLincoln Husker, I do not believe anyone suggested we do not support him or any Husker for that matter. Haspula just supplied a link a reference from the Ausie's perspective and my comment thereafter was an observation that my expectations were higher than how he performed because of the comments by ESPN's college basketball analyst Fran Fraschilla. The latter is on me for having higher expectations, not on the kid. We all knew he would have a learning curve to grow through. We will see this coming season if this was the case. I meant who cares what the aussies think. I will be the first to say I hate this topic and will continue to back this kid. Sorry if I offended anyone, but I understand where he is at. I did not play basketball, but the game is different when you are not playing against High Schoolers. He played out of position and with another guard (Ray) who could not handle the ball. Plus, he was a man, a young man, who admitted it. FYI - Fran needs to make stupid comments, so people listen and he gets paid. -

Plus he is playing against High Schoolers, everyone in the clip are smaller than he is. But there is not a lot of 7 footers out there. Like any freshman, it will take a year or 2 and all the above players might be gone by the time he plays. We should have plenty of other good players to play with him. -

Not a good sign. -
I thought the same thing. But also don't forget how the teams chemistry meshed after that horrible PSU loss and Biggs getting the boot. We won 10 of the last 12 after starting 1-4. 10 of 12!! That indluded MSU, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin. None are slacks. Imagine what next year will be like with the chemsistry and intensity there at the start of the year!? The success just can't get to the guys head, and if they stick together, we could finish 2nd. Plus, what players are leaving for the NBA or graduated.

Can't Creighton do their own recruiting? It seems like every time the Huskers offer a schollie to a player, Creighton follows. -

If the class was not so small, he would have an offer by now. Coaches want him in camp this summer. He has waited this long, so I believe he is a give me if he gets the offer. -

Pitching has been winning games for us, but if we want to get to Omaha we have to find a way to score more runs in these types of games. -
This program was set, but Frank & Bill ripped it down. None of these kids that are being recruited now know about NE tradition. You do not see other players voicing their opinion like these guys do. There is a place & time. The program needs public SUPPORT, it does not need to be verbally rip apart. Do you think these kids watch social media?

Our hitting at times is Yucky. We just do not have the mental toughness to compete day in day out consistently. This is why any team in the B1G can beat us. -
That is highschool ball in two states that have talent but not BIG size. I am not putting down hammonds talent but i dont think he is strong enough for the B1G Ten fresh out of HS. Most are not ready. I am just saying that most HS kids want to play right away and Mile's philosophy is to let the player decide. He will not start, but he is good enough for some minutes off the bench. The days of redshirting several players is gone.

Hammond only played last year in Oklahoma, his junior season in Bel Aire, KS averaged 12 points for a team that was ranked #6 in the country by MaxPreps.com.
