  1. Ohio St. has 7 Ohio kids that are 4 or 5 star athletes and 3 high 3 star. That is almost half their recruiting class. Nebraska just does not have that much talent in the state. The recruiting landscape has changed as almost every team in large conferences are on TV. What tradition that was built is gone due to coaches before Bo. Most of these recruits were babies when Nebraska was at the top. We are moving in the right direction.
  2. You just got to love players who dream to be Husker - instate or out! The tradition of RED!
  3. I get the feeling we are waiting to see what Blair is going to do before we take Bush's commit. (just a hunch) But Bush is a quarterback and Blair is receiver/DB right? A 6' 4" Athletic QB that could play WR!
  4. Not full. We are at 25 now, but the effective number after you take off Stewart and Lockhart, we are only at 23. I think 26, with the slight possibility of 27, is the number we be at. So we still have room for 3 or maybe 4 more if the last guy was someone like Blair or Frison. It sounds like we have a few leaving the program, which opens up a few more schollies.
  5. We might get Boston yet tonight! Waiting for the second TIC. Then BOOM!
  6. Brown is heading for AZ St., so we are probably looking at Bush, Boston or Blair & Frison.
  7. How sweet it is! I took my wife to a movie and came back to 3 commits.
  8. ? que¿ Not to be 'that guy' but maybe we should keep this on topic. Exactly
  9. Some recruiting services do not start evaluations until after the current year is done. Anything less than 3 means that they have not been evaluated. Some times evaluation don't happen until after they commit to D1 school. Basically, its way to early to worry about stars.
  10. Moving Willis to TE (if he commits) and Akinmoldun to DE would not affect the numbers at those positions, each pick up one. Now, if they have preferred spots, that is a different story, and I do not make my comment based on their preference. Rather, I see Willis as a fantastic blocking TE who can also catch the ball, and Akinmoldun as more a catching TE. Both have potential at DE, so it comes down to their preferred position (which you suggest Freedom prefers TE) and whether another blocking or catching TE would improve our offense. For the record, I do like Freedom at TE (also another catching TE with his size could make some great mismatches) and Deandre at DE (his has similar skills to what Moss brought). Tom I understand. I was just saying that he came here to be a TE and Turner came here as a QB. We may give him that option, but a good player will play where he is needed. Both players seem to be very versatile.
  11. Not sure about this. I'm pretty sure he's open to DE - his HS coach thinks he'd be best on defense. Recruiting services are saying he will be a better DE. No arguments from me, but his coach said that he really liked playing TE and he just started playing this position. I also read somewhere that he wants to play TE and NE is giving him that opportunity. I like him because versatility & athleticism.
  12. Freedom wants to play TE and that's why he came to NE. And with our lack of debt at that position, he may stay there. This also why we are looking to add a DE or 2 to this class.
  13. My son said it means Amazing, which probably means he is impressed with NE
  14. Other than Frison, I am looking for a surprise recruit!
  15. 6'4" with lots of upside. Could even play WR if QB does not work out!
