  1. Better 8 than never. I actually like the idea of a Minny-Nebraska rivalry. More history there, albeit ancient. If Minnesota can be the Minnesota of the 60s and Nebraska can be the Nebraska of.....the century before this one Ok I guess we need a little more time for this idea to come to fruition.
  2. If true...Husker Nation had something to do with this.
  3. I heard Boulder blew up on positive tests...massive Frat parties I think. Hopefully the kids don’t bring it to Durango. One of HS football coaches got it. He is an older bigger dude so he probably felt it. Hope he makes it through.
  4. Wow a miscellaneous BS thread. Right up my alley. Harbaugh's contract end 3 hours after the 2021 season is over and he almost didn't get to play this year. No discussion or rumors of an extension. I suspect he's gone, unless a miracle happens this season minus most of his NFL ready talent.
  5. Sounds like tropical hoops invitationals (Maui, Battle for Atlantis) will be played stateside, in South Dakota and NC. https://www.mlive.com/wolverines/2020/09/paradise-in-south-dakota-welcome-to-the-2020-college-basketball-season.html
  6. NOt sure where else to put this, but thought it was a gerat idea. Austin Peay University, is already calling it a season after just three games — and lots of money coming in to get beat up by some bigger schools. According to Saturday Down South, Austin Peay, which actually won 11 games in the FCS in 2019 and reached the league’s quarterfinals in the postseason, decided to axe their fall campaign after getting blown out by Central Arkansas, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati by a collective score of 134-37. But with the FCS looking to have a spring football season this year — which Austin Peay hopes to play in — the team decided it’d go get its a$$ kicked by a couple big boys before taking the fall and winter off, making out with some serious money for the Athletics Department in the process.
  7. Did I jinx it by asking about THAT other thread? Football folks...schedule is the topic of discussion. If it makes anyone feel better, Michigan fans are b!^@hing about having to play Minny and Wiscy for crossovers. I think they dropped PurDon’t and kept Minny. Only makes sense. That’s an old rivalry that actually has a good story behind the trophy.
  8. I do not know. Rumor is he got beat out as the starter. I think that is wishful thinking. He has two years left and this year is free. I would have stayed as a backup. He graduates after this year.
  9. Win over Michigan. They are overdue for the upset and Michigan gets a brand new very young, very raw QB this year after McCaffrey left. That and MSU, Maryland and Rutgers only beat each other. man it feels good to talk football, am I right? Did the monster CoVID thread die yet?
  10. I mentioned this earlier. The only decision to make for the 8 game was whether to keep @Rutgers or @OSU. TV $ dictated O$U. No-brainer. I do agree however that the 5 year commit to a cross over is too long. 2 for home and home with 3 teams is best. I prefer the variety unless a rivalry breaks out. Miss the old Legands/Leaders divisions other than the names.
  11. Guess I should not have shut off my streaming service....I am missing out.
  12. MSU finishes 5th...just ahead of Rutgers....maybe.
  13. Hey, No Big Ten teams in the top 25....when has that happened before? We must suck. https://www.espn.com/college-football/rankings
  14. I predict that team will be a 4-4 Michigan team. All the NFL players have declared for the NFL and the projected starting QB, Dylan McCaffrey, just opted out to transfer, leaving a QB who was a project and another who was a last minute take because the higher ranked recruit was declared medically unfit to play before he ever stepped on campus. See you fellas in the +1 game.
  15. So going by the original 2020 schedule AND 4 home and 4 away, it does make sense to me that Rutgers or OSU would be taken off the plate, since one of them is the extra away game. Its better TV for NU to play OSU. This is my prediction. Purdue @NW Illinois @OSU PSU @Iowa @Wiscy Minny
  16. Not surprised. I know people like this. I choose to avoid them.
  17. This day just keeps getting better and better. Thanks Mav. Cheers.
  18. Well I'll be damned. Drinks all around fellas. https://wolverineswire.usatoday.com/2020/09/15/big-ten-college-football-confirmed-vote-fall-2020-season/
  19. I talked myself back from the edge. "Rumors that some schools would choose to sit out are unfounded; all fourteen Big Ten schools will resume if any do."
  20. Michigan already lost their best DB and starting left tackle to the NFL over this. Losing those positions will not bode well against OSU anyway. Michigan doesn't have the 5 star depth the O$U has.
