  1. Hey...that's what I said....the ultimate middle finger. I mean the NCAA isn't going to last much longer...at least for football. By the time they get around to a punishment, they may not here.
  2. And then there is this with regard to contract extension.
  3. So apparently Stalions somehow snuck onto the CMU sideline. If this is him, I wonder how he got a sideline pass? Or is he tresspassing? Or who in the hell knows.
  4. That is the theory, although it would be a fun middle finger if they did it now. Just put in a clause that either side can terminate with 1 months notice, no buyout. The best thing M can do for themselves is win out, since this was know prior to MSU. I still wonder why teams don't just use arm bands. I guess because have to huddle. The interesting thing is they have not gotten a notice of allegations or their 90-day window to respond. I doubt anything happens this season.
  5. Peacock has a 7 day free trial....for those too cheap to pay $5.
  6. Too bad they all didn't end this way.
  7. https://www.foxnews.com/us/harvard-president-announces-advisory-council-combat-antisemitism-campus-no-longer Gay delivered remarks at the Harvard Hillel Shabbat Dinner, saying that "we are witnessing a surge in anti-Jewish incidents and rhetoric across the nation — and on our own campus," where she said that she has heard "story after story" of "Jewish students feeling increasingly uneasy or even threatened." "As president, I am committed to tackling this pernicious hatred with the urgency it demands," Gay said in her remarks. "Antisemitism has a very long and shameful history at Harvard. For years, this University has done too little to confront its continuing presence. No longer."
  8. Or folks just saying things...two insiders say otherwise.who knows what is real. I am not sure that someone hiring a PI firm to get sign gate info is real either. This is a UofM regent refuting the claim of an emergency meeting. It's getting crazy.
  9. The conspiracy theory at M is that a former alumni Jim Stapleton, who starting working for the NCAA a couple years back, hates Harbaugh and is leaking info to the NCAA in order to kill Harbaugh's new contract extension that was due this week. A writer named John U. Bacon accused Stapleton of being Harbaugh's problem. Incidentally, Stapleton was on the board of the Vikings too. Stapleton has threatened a defamation lawsuit against Bacon https://www.diehardsport.com/college-football/michigan-writer-issues-response-to-jim-stapleton-after-calling-him-whistleblower/ And now the WSJ says Harbaugh's contract was pulled off the table this week, which of course fans the conspiracy flame. https://www.wsj.com/sports/football/jim-harbaugh-michigan-contract-sign-stealing-21d5e1b6 Keeps getting more and more weird.
  10. Brian Kelly's opinion. I don't like him much, but he doesn't seem to care. It’s silly,” he told ESPN on Wednesday. “Silly meaning my genuine feeling is that we have too many smart people that have looked at this and said we should be doing it and we haven’t taken the time to actually move it forward.” Kelly said that teams attempting to steal signals of opponents has been “going on forever.” Asked whether those efforts ever rose to the level of what Michigan is accused of, sending people to scout opponents in person and using recording devices, Kelly said, “Who knows.” “But this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of sign stealing,” he said, “whether there is proposed sign stealing or people were buying tickets to other games. This is all part of why this should not even be part of the equation.” Kelly said the tangible effect of stealing signals is debatable. In 32 years of coaching, he said, he has never believed they lost a game because of it. “I’ve never come back to the office and go, they got us,” he added.
  11. NU becomes bowl eligible against MSU. Maryland is imploding and the NU D is good enough to win that game. NU turns the ball over too much to beat Iowa. Since that is the only way Iowa scores, I think Iowa wins that one. I don’t think NU can take Wiscy, yet. The answer is still No, but 7 wins is a good start.
  12. Now this is the Bill Maher of old! “Real Time" host Bill Maher compared newly-elected House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., to the Maine mass shooter responsible for murdering 18 people and injuring 13 others. "When you're this much of a religious fanatic, there is no room for real democracy. That's not what you believe in. He said it today. 'Look in the Bible. That's my world view,'" Maher said during the panel discussion. "And I was reading about this horrible shooting in Maine. And, you know, we don't know much about the guy yet, but apparently he heard voices and I thought ‘Is he that different than Mike Johnson?’"
  13. https://sports.yahoo.com/source-ohio-state-inquired-about-in-person-scouting-of-cfp-opponents-ahead-of-last-seasons-playoff-194605956.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9tZ29ibG9nLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAABlHNqQHNA8FMXriRy36PqIS9fnT5ERbNMK1nL8Yj_t-21sjuSFlMALAbIsAqd-UPgIb5M3FFq8t-NQKiV9JEcn9Ss8sfYsVZi1U9gqgJkQATK0b8_geKxtqkaWnMuU9gwFHn-8Y5ZcLB-_mZHFZI3R6-tuNFszD14uCK1oTI3en OSU wanted to know if this was an exception for non NCAA sponsored events.
  14. Columbia University graduate, billionaire investor and Omega Advisors CEO Leon Cooperman had harsh words for Ivy League students who are sharing anti-Israel sentiment on campus. “These kids at the colleges have sh-- for brains," Cooperman told "The Claman Countdown" host Liz Claman on Wednesday. "We have one reliable ally in the Middle East. That's Israel. We only have one democracy in the Middle East. That's Israel. And we have one economy tolerant of different people, gays, lesbians, etc. That's Israel. So they have no idea what these young kids are doing." "Now, the real shame is, I've given to Columbia probably about $50 million over many years," he continued. "And I'm going to suspend my giving. I'll give my giving to other organizations." I hate to break it to him, but 50M is not very much for a billionaire and the kids hate the fact that he has that much wealth.
  15. Weiss and signal gate are two different things. Weiss got caught a couple years ago or at least before the 2022 season hacking UofM computers. Stealing PWs or something like that. I am not sure I ever heard what he was up to. He was unceremoniously fired without much info. With how quickly it happened most folks thought it was something pretty bad.
  16. Maybe the IDF can bury them and not have to enter the tunnels. Underground warfare.
  17. Yup. Behead babies and hide under hospitals. I hope the US let's Israel wipe Hamas out. They probably have the Hospital wired with explosives too.
  18. I must have missed something. I have no idea how much of an advantage it is. I thought you would be interested in that comment about NU not trading signs with other programs. No idea if that source is real or correct though. I don’t like anonymous. And then the author, a Michigan guy, said exactly what you mentioned….’out to get Michigan’. looks like TCU used sign stealing against M. I saw how that game turned. Totally different defense. https://www.mlive.com/wolverines/2023/10/tcu-knew-of-michigans-sign-stealing-before-playoff-game-used-fake-signs.html
  19. You didn’t watch the video? I thought it was funny. Goes along with what Prime said.
  20. Thus is funny...I guess Hutchinson stole the signal to put this dude on his butt. Forgot to change this....
  21. https://www.on3.com/teams/michigan-wolverines/news/michigan-football-what-kind-of-advantage-does-sign-stealing-give/ Or that the Big10 is out to screw NU, but then read this. Also Bolded part of the quote. And added a second to back up you comment. “I actually spoke to a Big Ten source, who gave me a quote — if other people are out there sharing anonymous quotes and these ESPN and SI articles, I can too. So, here is what I learned, ‘Every Sunday, coaches and support staff with mutual connections throughout the conference contact each other to trade not just schematic notes, but also to trade signals. Some of the top teams who consistently trade signals and have very accurate information on common opponents are Michigan, Rutgers, Ohio State, Indiana, and Purdue. Other teams who are decent at it and would always look to trade are Illinois, Northwestern, Maryland, Minnesota, and Penn State. Wisconsin was oblivious to it but is likely no longer with the new staff. Michigan State, Iowa, and Nebraska appear to be oblivious and out of the loop.’ “The other note I wrote down from my conversation, ‘Each team knows who each team’s person is, and they have their phone number.’ So, this is a pretty common practice, and clearly this also suggests that teams aren’t necessarily as afraid of Michigan as they are publicly proclaiming — or, I should say, anonymously proclaiming. This gives credence to, ‘Michigan is annihilating everything in its path. What can we do in order to kind of keep Michigan from achieving its goals?’”
  22. That's funny. The UM boards called out the same OC for possibly giving access to the PI firm. The cops came out this morning and said the investigation into Weiss was not related, however. Conspiracy theories abound. The other Conspiracy theory is Ryan 'Karen' Day hired the firm to dig up dirt to help justify his loses. Sounds like this is flushing out quickly. Lots of leaks. My prediction is that since stealing signs is legal, and the rule about Scouting applies to employees, M will wiggle their way around it. Then the NCAA will adopt helmet headsets.
