  1. Interesting. I didn't quite find what the other 8 situations were in the article. I may have skimmed over it to quickly. I still think this is political. Dems are worried he is going win. They are throwing darts at a wall and hoping one sticks. How many of the folks that stormed the capital were convicted of insurrection? Half dozen maybe. I haven't kept track.
  2. I think I answered this in another post. It seems like the DOJ should have convicted Trump of insurrection first, no?
  3. Illegal with real authorities...it might not be written into the NCAA rules.
  4. Should we start a Ryan Day under investigation thread? Maybe obtaining practice film by hacking is not illegal since it's not in person scouting by a coach or staff member.
  5. If the US Supreme Court takes this up and upholds it, then it is what it is. I think that would create an opening for states to do this in other cases. If swing states do it, then what? Election boards and judges decide who is president?
  6. They voted to remove a national presidential candidate from the ballot for insurrection. I don't think Trump has been charged for it yet, let alone convicted. If they could remove him for taxes evasion, or keeping classified documents at least they would have something he is charged with. Of course the latter could disqualify Biden and Pence too. I would not want Texas judges removing a Democrat candidate for something he has not been convicted of. It's a really bad move and I am concerned about the fall-out. So yes, I have their names written down, for future elections.
  7. The judges are appointed, but there are votes to retain them after some time. I am not sure how long that time duration is. I am also unsure whether CO Supreme Court justices are exempt from retention votes, but many other judges appear on the ballot. I will have to look it up. I generally vote to retain judges which is the normal recommendation. In all these years, I have seen only one judge that was recommended not to retain.
  8. I don't need judges doing what they did. In Colorado we can vote to retain or not to retain judges. I have the names of 4 judges that, if given the opportunity, I will not vote to retain them. I have the names of 3 judges that I will vote to retain. All 7 are democrat appointed.
  9. Fools. Michigan has been bad in the post season for decades. Ohio...
  10. She's the GOPs only shot to unseat said man in my opinion. I was looking forward to voting against him in the CO republican primary, but 4 idiot judges took that away.
  11. I remember that he had racists gaffes. I do not remember what they were. I chalked it up to him being an old fart at the time and didn't think he was racist.
  12. Why would it cost her the nomination? People will forget about it in two weeks. That said ,she is so far behind it probably won't matter.
  13. Rappaport saying that Harbaugh offered a 10 year $125 million contract to stay at Michigan, with a clause that he can't pursue an NFL job this off-season. https://www.nfl.com/news/jim-harbaugh-weighing-contract-offer-from-michigan-that-includes-no-nfl-clause-f
  14. It takes the NCAA forever. This is the allegations for cheeseburgergate. a 3 game suspension by Harbaugh and 1 game for Moore were already served. Those suspensions will factor into whateve sabre the NCAA decides to rattle next year. With FSU about to implode the ACC, the NCAA may no longer govern Div 1 football soon, at least not for the power 2, so the punishment for signgate may not make it out in time. I do agree with you that Harbuagh is disliked by the NCAA. He pushes too many boundaries like satellite summer camps. I am pretty sure he doesn't respect them either. That is why after every suspension he likes to make a statement about paying the players.
  15. NW really surprised me this year. Good for them
  16. A settlement that will set the bar for Miami and others to get out. And probably for less since FSU leaving devalues the conference. I wonder if ESPN and others will renegotiate the contracts to keep it together or if they want the super conferences.
  17. A little different than a bad testimony. Apparently Dr. Swain was someone that Dr. Gay allegedly plagiarized.
  18. I wonder how Stanford and California feel. Maybe they stay with the PAC4 to help consume all the money WSU and OSU will get to keep, and let some things flush out for a year or 2.
  19. Why hasn't the Justice department accused and prosecuted him for it? That would fix it.
  20. Sorry I missed this. He has lots of messed up actions and comments for sure, but this is a bad way to handle it. Their job is to convict him, not suppress the vote. They are now guilty of doing things that Trump is a threat to do. This is going to backfire on them. I believe Colorado has write in locations for candidates in the general election....not sure about the primary. I thought I read that if Trump is not on the primary ballot, he cannot be on the ballot in CO for the general election. Does that mean no republican candidate will be on the ballot in the general election if Trump is the nominee? Doesn't that sound just a bit like voter suppression if states can just leave one party or the other off of the national ballot? That sounds like something they would do in Venezuela or Cuba.
  21. From 4 hours ago. "Emergency" board meeting at FSU. https://theathletic.com/5154574/2023/12/21/florida-state-acc-board-meeting-realignment/

  23. This CO Supreme Court judge, on the other hand I will vote retain. https://www.newsweek.com/colorado-supreme-court-justice-warns-chaos-after-trump-ruling-1853965 The justice said Tuesday's ruling sanctions "makeshift proceedings" by the lower court, which he argues did not allow for the former president to have a fair trial. "Because most other states don't have the Election Code provisions we do ... will inevitably lead to the disqualification of President Trump from the presidential primary ballot in less than all fifty states, thereby risking chaos in our country," Samour wrote. "This can't possibly be the outcome the framers intended."
