  1. I noticed Bookie and Darnay talking while looking at a phone... they didn't look happy. Can't believe this stress would be wanted so far along in the process...
  2. Darnay has been really mature through the process and hasn't said much or ran his mouth but goodness does that video scream that he's pretty into himself...
  3. Can't lose guys to programs like Oregon State... complete disappointment if true. Literally swung and missed on EVERY big fish.
  4. Keyshawn also isn't going to public ally give away clues or tips on what Darnay should do less than 48 hours before he decides. At this point no one is going to ruin Darnays moment or give away any decision he may or may not have reached. Feel bad for the kid having all of this pressure... makes me wonder why more guys don't get it out of the way like KJJ and Gebbia.
  5. Just curious... even if we did isn't she only a freshmen or sophomore? By the time she would be here Darnay plans to be getting an agent for the League haha.
  6. Also might be worth noting if we don't get him it sounds like USC would be the best scenario... the thinking is that it would help steer Greg Johnson and Lenoir to Neb.
  7. Family all wants him to go different places as their top choice. Nebraska is the one place that they are all ok with him going although not necessarily their first choice.
  8. Schaefer is going to be on 1620 around 5:30 to breakdown the latest news with Darnay. I think Keyshawn Sr has been in the ear of dad and Darnay. I would guess the sales pitch is go to Nebraska where you know you will get playing time and get treated fairly by Riley.
  9. Would be interesting to see if he had paperwork filed elsewhere because he needs to start next week. Someone said ucla operates on a different schedule and that he could begin classes in march. I'm not sure how that would affect spring ball because most programs are into their spring practices by then
  10. I think our best chance would be Keyshawn letting him know that "his brand" can be made where ever he goes. Such a great kid I think we could use his character as much as his talent. I totally get if he goes to Ohio State but he could get lost in the shuffle there if he's expecting to play early... Ucla makes sense I guess if he wants to stay home but definitely the lowest quality program of his choices...
  11. It looks daunting now, Wisconsins schedule looked miserable this year and they came out just short of the playoffs.... It is curious how you draw Ohio St, Michigan, and Michigan State in one season?
  12. Sounds like he had food poisoning... Feel bad for the kid. It's a long season to work towards a title game and have something like that keep you out would be tough.
  13. On 1620 Nate Clouse alluded to the fact that us moving back into the picture a few days ago could have been him hearing behind the scenes that we were looking Donte Williams. Clouse thought that our chances with the guys we've already been recruiting as well as Donte Williams will go "through the roof" although I think that was more in reference to Joseph Lewis and Greg Johnson
  14. There is almost no tailgating in Madison, at least nothing close to the stadium. The last 2 times we played in Madison I only noticed some "tailgating" outside of some houses. Your best bet is going to a bar taken over by Husker fans on state street...
  15. sample size thoSo, let's say NU goes 11-3 this year (10-2 regular season, loss in B1G Championship, win the bowl game) and then falls back to 8-5 next year (new QB, new receivers, new leaders have to step up). That's a .615 winning percentage through 3 years. Still way behind.I'm not sure why Riley would need to equal his percentage by 2018. He needs to average around 9.5 wins over the next 6 seasons (including this year) in order to match what Pelini did. It's too early to say how likely that is but winning 11 games this year would make it a lot easier. That's what's expected of him anyway, + Championship(s) Bo also came into a way less toxic situation, and for the most part a more talent laden roster. Guys like Suh, Prince, etc were already recruited here. Riley spent half of the first season here cleaning out a toxic locker room and getting guys to buy in. Since that bumpy start he has gone 9-1. Riley hasn't done anything yet, but let's not act like Bo set such a high bar it can't be reached. One conference championship, or possibly a BCS bowl win would trump anything Bo accomplished.
  16. I've been there for both games. Never had any issues with fans and I spent Friday night and all day Saturday at the bars both times.
  17. Probably wanted to visit when Coach Dub could be around the whole weekend.
  18. Ya I was curious about the story behind the kid that tweeted KJJ
  19. I would imagine our biggest pitch would be immediate playing time. I'm not all that familiar with the depth at Bama but with us losing Maurice I'm guessing he would rotate in our 2 deep as soon as he steps on campus.
  20. Hello, Mr. Shelvin. Let's set up a visit now.
  21. I thought they looked sweet, especially in the photos now after the game. Again if you need to be able to see the name to tell the difference between Avery Anderson and Tommy Armstrong then that's on you as a fan.
  22. Currently visiting Oregon, who is losing to an improved Colorado team.
  23. Ya it's interesting... I'm not sure dad wants him to go here and that's the issue, or they want him going somewhere like OSU because they turn out so many pros lately.
  24. Get off my lawn... They are jerseys, and the kids like them. Relax.
  25. There gets to a point where decifering between the loudest game is nearly impossible. I would say it was on par with the Miami game, maybe even a little more intense because of how the game went down to the wire. MSU in 2015 was loud as well but had more of a party atmosphere that built up as the game wore on because we had nothing to lose.
