  1. You are 100% right. I can't see the owners saying okay to that lost revenue. Instead, they will just roll out a watered down roster. It sucks for the fans. Imagine somehow being a Nugget fan who lives in Minnesota. You buy tickets to see the team in their one visit to your area that season (or one of a few), but because they played the night before and had a tip off 22 hours later (which I thought was against the CBA), you get to see one starter play and a bunch of bench players. It's a bummer. I get that this is going to make me sound like an old dude yelling at the neighborhood kids to get off his lawn, but I just don't remember players taking games off in the old days.
  2. I know that, for me personally, my hate for CU never stopped. It's just reinvigorated now that I moved back to Colorado and with this schmuck as their head coach, their "fans" are getting insufferable again.
  3. I'd say that Dallas has fully embraced the "We won't play defense, we'll outscore everyone" strategy. I don't think Kyrie will be there long enough to blow stuff up like he normally does, but we'll see. And I saw a rumor about the Suns being interested in KD again. I can't even imagine what a team would have to give up to get him. Also, as a Nuggets fan, I hate scheduled losses. The NBA needs to examine these back to back game situations; it can't be good for the game, especially for the fans.
  4. I almost always refer to them as the Chefs; fewer people seem to get the reference these days. Sigh, guess I'm getting old.
  5. I totally agree. I was really looking forward to that game, it's a shame with how everything went with the injuries.
  6. I would say that the Eagles had the easiest path to a Super Bowl that I can remember, but not their fault. The unfortunate thing is that this Super Bowl could lead to a divorce in my house, but we've had a good run. My wife is a Giants fan, hates the Eagles. I'm a Broncos fan, hate the Chiefs. So, we'll each be "cheering" for the other's hated rival, so things could get ugly. Oh, but the Broncos are getting Sean Peyton. Meh, wouldn't have been my choice, but they didn't ask me.
  7. Wow, pretty cool to see a good friend of ours quoted on Huskerboard. Kevin will be quite excited!
  8. I almost snorted coffee out of my nose, well played!
  9. And I was thinking of the killer bunny from the Holy Grail.
  10. My first time seeing the Huskers in person. Repping a lot of Husker red in the ASU student section. That game was a bummer, but what an incredible atmosphere. And ASU did go on to being really close to a championship that year, so at least it was a "quality" loss. At least, that's what I kept telling myself.
  11. Thank you. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
  12. I am cautiously optimistic about this transfer. Given what has been said here, I think that Coach Rhule and his staff could be the perfect fit for this young man, and hopefully they can maximize on the talent that is clearly there. Great get!
  13. The Cards have been so badly run for so long, it's really unfortunate. They had that nice run for a few years, but for the most part, they've been one of the worst run organizations in professional sports for a long time. That being said, I think this was the right move. He always came across as such a douche, and I don't think he connected very well with his players. Certainly not with Kyler.
  14. That Bills game was amazing yesterday, not sure it could have been written better in a movie. It was nice to see the Broncos put together a good game (well, at least 50% of a good game). Now, it's on to the coaching search. This will be interesting. I think I'm hoping for the 4-5 years of Harbaugh that we'll get. I just don't see them giving up what little draft capital they have to get Payton, but who knows?
  15. That performance by the Nuggets last night was amazing, and I even got to see it on TV locally; shocking! They just dismantled the Clippers, and the great thing was that they didn't even need Jokic to do much. When they are clicking like that, they can beat anyone. Great time to be a Nuggets fan!
  16. That storm was crazy, spring snow in December. Our Toro gas blower did well, but we got almost a foot at our house, so it definitely took longer.
  17. That makes a lot of sense. Definitely could have been handled better, but these situations get messy. I don't understand the backlash I've seen about Carr, saying that he quit on the team. That's just not how I see it, but I could be looking at it through Bronco colored glasses.
  18. Hoping for some guidance from someone much more knowledgeable about this than me (and apologize if this has been asked before). We've got a 1200 Mbps plan with Xfinity, they provide the combo modem/router. Generally speaking, we get pretty good coverage throughout the house. The router is on our main level, but my son's room upstairs is a bit of a dead zone. I'm looking at the TP-Link AC1750, and I'm wondering if you all think it might help with the situation. His latest issues appear to be with his ping and packet loss. Also, with the combo modem/router, will it be a paid to set something like this up? Thank you so much in advance for your help!
  19. I think it's pretty terrible how the Raiders are handling the Carr situation, but what can be expected out of McDaniels? I think it will be very interesting to see if Adams leaves like he said he would if Carr is gone. Messy situation, but seems to be pointing in the direction of Brady coming to Vegas.
  20. Hey, at least the Nuggets are playing great right?
  21. They are playing a soundbite on local radio with Deion saying something along the lines of "Did you really think you could come and get what we got?" or something like that. It just made my skin crawl; it came across as so obnoxious and arrogant.
  22. The second post on that link gives all the chills!
