  1. Everyother team aside, who are the eight douche bags, err.....writers that voted for ND to be number 1? What have they proved? They haven't beat anyone in the last 5 years. Oh wait, they did hold tough against USC last year. Ok, so did ASU, Fresno St, and a hand full of other teams. Its ok, they will lose at least 2 out of the next 3 anyways against good Big 10 teams.
  2. I think everybody is jumping on the Lucky/Gleen train because the had the better numbers. They all played one game so far and we are judging them on their performance against La Tech :hmmm I dont think we can have a serious discussion about this until there is at least three games played to find consistency among them. Wilson could come out and have 150 yards next week and not fumble again the rest of the season. Lucky could have a couple fumbles or Glenn may miss a couple blocks that end up in sacks. I think they should all get a equal looks again this week before we start placing them in our "Fantasy Depth Chart".
  3. As USC is not taken us seriously, we should not look past Nicholas St on Saturday. I mean anything can happen in college football. If they go out and are all thinking about USC, it could end up like Montana St and Colorado Seriously though, we should take care of business on Sat., get a solid week of practice leading up to USC and just go out and play our game. As long as we don't have stupid mistakes and CATCH THE BALL , things will take care of themselves. I am not expecting a win, but I do expect us to compete and play great football. If we win, that is icing on the cake.
  4. Yeah by the way, who did Montana St play this week? Aren't they NAIA or something?
  5. I can't say what to expect in the next game, but I would bet the farm that Mann doesn't have back to back penalties again for awhile. Anyways, I think that we will try to gain more confidence in the run while fine tuning our WRs abilities. I agree that Purify is has to much talent to sit, while Hardy watches the rock bounce of his chest. I am hoping that our RBs will continue to run hard and smash through the line like they did on Sat. Out of the four, the leader Lucky seemed to be doing more finese running than the others, but I guess it doesn't matter as long as it is positive yards. Without , I hope our secondary can improve in the coming weeks or we may have closer games than we expect. Sneed(TX), Blythe (ISU) and Jarrett(USC) are very talented and could cause us big problems. I know we are hurting in the secondary, but Grixby should be able to hold his own. If he didnt strip that ball on that one pass play, I would have to give him a D- for his efforts on Sat. I love you guys, but damn, bump the guy at the line or something
  6. Less than three hours until we begin our run that will have Mark May and all those ESPN honks eating their words! Gooooooooooooooo Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiggg Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!
  7. Missou fan knows that last year was a fluke, so he has to get his jabs in before we . Probably has a little too much time on his hands as well.
  8. This is as obvious as the sun coming up tommorow, but for those not familar with him, its an ok read. Only 64.5 more hours til kickoff!!!!! Link
  9. Yeah, from what I have experienced, about 10 out of 10 coeds at ASU are "10s". If I was Keller I wouldn't be spending my evenings in my apartment either.
  10. I'd like to see Keller do well next year and everything, but I'm pulling for ZT to do tremendous things THIS year and command this team to a BCS game and put us back in the spotlight.
  11. With all due respect to Ross, you could put my Grandma behind that O-Line in Denver and rush for 100 yards a game But even behind that line Ron Dayne still stinks
  12. I agree with Octavien being one of the best athletes on either side of the ball, but I doubt Cally would not start him simply to "throw off" USC or any other team. As a coach you want to field the best team possible every game. They must have found a reason to put Rudd as the number one. Personaly I think the depth chart is overrated, especially for this team because of the amount of talent and depth at most of the positions. The dry erase board will get its work this season. Steve O and the RBs will all see the field plenty and allow us to keep teams off balance.
  13. I predict that I will drop at least one F-Bomb directly towards an official per game I predict that I will piss my wife off at least once per game when I yell so load that it wakes the baby I predict that I will be depressed for 96 hours after our first loss(if any) I predict that I will jones'n for the next game within 24 hrs of the previous one, regardless of outcome
  14. This is not the first run of Wilson's that I have heard of this fall. I could be judging to quickly, but it seems like he has more determination than the other three. If he is going to keep running like a freightrain everytime he gets the rock, it will be hard for the staff to keep him on the sidelines. Note to defensive front: lower your head and wrap the guy up Looking at the big picture though, we have guys like Keller and Wilson practicing against our D, so they are going to get better.
  15. Spain and Rudd are the two suprises for me, but Cally gave the impression in the press conference that they may erase a hole in the paper with all the changes and flip flops this year. The first couple of games should define the starters a little better. Only four more day!
  16. It is on now, Cally says there still is no seperation between the four RBs.........missed who he said is starting
  17. 12 ESPN honks made prediction on conference winners, 11 picked us to win the North, but Rod Gilmore picked CU. *cough*douche*cough* Noone picked us to win the Big 12 though. Thats ok......just flying under the radar for now...... Link
  18. I agree with not wanting to let any of these talented RBs get discouraged by a lack of playing time, but it is kind of a double edged sword. You want one or two backs to set the tone of the game and get consistent looks. The other side is that there will be fresh legs most of time and keep the defense on their heels. I know Cally has said we will establish the ground game better this year, but we have implemted a passing offense as well, so 30-40% of the plays will be to the WR/TE. So whoever is behind ZT better know how to pick up blitzes and protect as well. Just a gut feeling but I say Wilson emerges as the complete package by the time we play USC, Glenn will be seeing significant playing time as well. Lucky will fall back as return specialist and BJax being left out. I love 'em all but just trying to be realistic. Good luck to all and may the best man take it.......
  19. Yes, very good week for me, Huskers start the season and my son is due any day. Wife is having minor contractions as we speak. Just has long has he is here BEFORE and not during kickoff
