  1. Its not unnacceptable. Everyones entitled to an opinion. But threats to coaches and malevolent messages to players are a problem, big time. You dont have to like the coach to support the team but it really wouldnt hurt. Oh and if anybody thinks berrating the staff or players is going to solve anytthing then f you too.
  2. Peterson would be my first call. Overall, yesterday stung, badly. I dont want Bo gone though. He has done some great things, on and off field. Its just too bad a fluke loss turns fans against the staff. Im not a Pap supporter and wouldnt lose sleep if Beck took another gig. But Bo is our head man. Until he is no longer coach Im behind him.
  3. And hire which of the coaches banging on Eichorsts door BEGGING to be the guy at Nebraska?
  4. Great. Were no better than Texas fans. Thanks for that.
  5. I BoLieve! Lets take NW back to the stone age and sen Pat Fitzgerald outta town.
  6. I know I would think the "Greatest Fans" moniker was all b.s. You are damn right, the bashing is in no way helpful. If the fans are to be Nebraskas biggest asset, we beed to steo up and remember what class is all about.
  7. Im not just talking about this board. Its just demoralizing the way we turn on our team. As mentioned above, Kenny Bell is an example.
  8. Yes the outcome was horrendous but I'm more disgusted with the remarks being made about our head coach and starting quarterback. It is absolutely astonishing to see people throw Taylor under the bus for playing pretty decent after a month of rehabing. Then we wonder why the players play with no intensity? Could it be because the media and fans neutered our coach for coaching with intensity. Maddening. Ill admit, this loss is on the coaches AND the players. It hurts. It was the final blow to what couldve been a soecial season. Although we were asking alot from players who are realistically still overwhelmed by starting duties for the first time. And the Spencer Long loss was devastating. I hereby turn in my claim to be among the greatest fans in college football. There are still a select few of us that dont want to do bodily harm to our coach or QB. Im all for opinions but the slander and libel Ive seen and heard over the last 24 hours is disgusting. Unless we finish the year with a losing record, I hope Bo will stick around next year to see this thing out. Good luck coach, lets take Northwestern down a peg. Go Big Red.
  9. Yeah is there any wY we can trade the East Iowa for PSU?
  10. If were gonna go with Wiscy can we at least hold Barry Alvarez hosage until our demands our met? 1) Wisconsin cannot run sweeps against us 2) They are only allowd to defeat us by 14 total points 3) They must wear their red lids when playing us no matter where we play, maybe wear them permanently. Ok I really just want the third line. Its on the team to negate the other two.
  11. Coloradoalways tried to get up for us though. Iowa so far may as wel havesent the scout team to play us. Not like we get up for them either though. Really just been two disinterested teams.
  12. Valid point, but in that regard would we rather play onThanksgiving? Maybe not every year, but every so often?
  13. and it's close, for those fans in Nebraska that travel to the game. Any farther and people would have to be traveling on Thanksgiving. Yup. And have the game on BF is more important than the opponent. Im not so sure about this. Does the casual fan really care about Nebraska beating on Iowa if they are hankering for Football? The black Friday novelty loses its luster if you know the outcome the day before. Against PSU winning your division could be on the line with a loss, regardless of them being in seperate divisions. Against Iowa? We cost them a shot at what? The Subway/Smoke Shack Bowl
  14. Im not sure what it is but when we play PSU it feels like there is actually something at stake
  15. Playing the day after Thanksgiving is something we want for the future and has been a staple for years. But if you had the choice of opponent from the entire pool of Big Ten teams, who would you pick. There have been rumblings that Wisconsin will replace Iowa in the season finale but is that the team you would pick first? In a perfect world I would pick Michigan but thats not an option with Ohio State being their closer. Wisconsin would be better than Iowa but still not a perfect fit. I would love to see Penn State take over our Black Friday spot from Iowa. The look the game has when NU and PSU take the field is one the casual viewer may be intrigued by. It has the feel of old school Football and has been a fun series so far in its infancy as a conference game. Unfortunately we lose them as a permanent crossover opponent, but they would be my first choice.
  16. Ill go to a November night game n Lincoln, probably wouldnt in Pennsylvania
  17. Man, whats the over/under in that one? I hope MSU wins it though, we need a good one loss team to come to Lincoln.
  18. Out of the dozen games Ive been to, 3/4 the time I walk into the stall with the empty convenient store liquor bottles. Its kind of tradition for me now.
  19. Mami is treading water as an undefeated, some really lucky breaks. They always play FSU tough though. So if they can beat FSU then lose a couple after that it would be great. Plus UCLA could do us a solid on Aaturday and knock off Oregon. And Baylor and TTU play eachother so one of them loses before they noth have to play the heavies of the Big 12. Not seeing much opportunity for anyone to finish undefeated.
  20. We just need the SEC to keep destroying itself and FSU to stumble.
  21. Im fricking famished! I'll take one of those medium done porterhouses. But bring me a Lucky Bucket with mine. And some A1. And possibly a brownie. Merica
  22. SEC can suck it. Anyway...after this weeks chaos and the unpredictability of the BCS it is truly anyones year. Loisvilles done. FSU will lose a game or two, you can just feel it. Oregon could very well drop a game too. Bama is quietly covering up some issues and may drop an Iron bowl or. SEC title game. Im still not sold on a Franklinless Mizzou. Meanwhile Nebraska wins out and so does Ohio State. NU trumps the Buckeyes in the ccg who are currently #4. Hey, its not impossible. HUSKERS GOIN BCS TITLE GAME! Go Big Red?
  23. Safe to say we no longer have to fear the RENEWED AND IMPROVED MICHIGAN STATE OFFENSE Easy now. So it took them 51 minutes to score on offense, at home, on a trick play, against Purdue, they are to be feared! When we put up a lot of points against a bad team, it's expected except that we should have scored more if not for the coaches letting up or calling stupid plays. When someone else puts up a lot of points against a bad team, it's because their offense is really coming around. Everyone knows this. Bingo! Merica!
  24. Actually my buddy had a grand idea. Since Northwestern was complaining that we travel to eell and we didnt give them a fair chance last year since we outnumbered the purple fans, we should red out their spring game. 20,000+ Husker fans crash their glorified practice. Might take the will to play right out of em.
