GAAAAH CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! I feel for you drummer, truly do. I tried the same encouraging thread a while back before the players got behind the notion. Problem is that on here and out there people are set in their ways. Wearing black is like a slap in the face to some. I think maybe if Dr. Tom spread the mesage via AM radio the older crowd would consider the idea. Sadly even the players asking the fans for something in return for their playing time is too much to ask of some tradirionalists. Hope a good chunk of people can forgo their tradition just for one day and we see a great turnout of blackshirts. If not oh well, even those wearing red, be loud and lets beat the Bruins GBR!

If we can finish 11-1 Id be through the roof just knowing we cant lose 4 games.

AP doesnt like looking us in the face the day after. Were like a bad one night stand to them. They gave us a #5 once and we fell asleep once the AP got us back to its studio apartment. The coaches dont mind drunk texting us once in a while though.

They have some serious playmakers on D and are a legit threat. But that offense is just awful. Think NU 09 without Henery.

NU doesn't play Michigan next year. The schedules are switched to the East/West format when Rutgers and Maryland enter the conference. Sorry force of habit. Brain still trying to comprehend Maryland as a "conference foe". Yes you ar correct. Sadly Im not sure an undefeated Wisconsin v Nebraska would have the appeal. Im gonna miss playing Michigan regularly

Undefeated NW vs NU is still a long shot but not completely off base. I think there is enough of emotion to hype up on tv to make that work. Both teams have traded wins against one another at their opponents home stadium. Being undefeated and back in Lincoln would be a great storyline for this budding rivalry to entice a Gameday appearance. Otherwise what would it take to get them here? We would need to win the Big Ten this year or at least a BCS game so they have enough high profile material to work with. And be undefeated when an undefeated Michigan comes to Lincoln next year. B1G Title + BCS Berth + Undefeated Record + Undefeated Visiting Wolverines = Gameday

I think we have enough depth and talent to wear Sparty, or any Defense for that matter, down towards the end. Just like last year we will be able to salt the game away late. But this time around we should hold a comfortable lead throught the games entirety. Were talking about a Sparty offense that has scored 14 points in two weeks of play. Their D is scoring more points than they are on offense, which I don't see changing much once we enter conference play. Husker Offense > Sparty Defense

Sparty doesn't play well in Lincoln with a TALENTED Offense, hoping to see a shutout from the Blackshirts against this fluttering squad.

Honestly I agree with that. The way they talk Stanton up he could truly be a force in the next couple seasons. Hard to imagine Armstrong as a backup but if JS is half as good as they say it will be a battle for the QB spot next year. A big part of it will be Beck (if he is still OC) Yeah I see Beck getting lured away by 2015. If that happens do we petition to get Frost back from Oregon?

I agree about 85%. I still think the fact we need to pad turnover stats plays into effect here. Perhaps padding isn't the proper term, keeping at bay maybe? I just think to silence some critics, Bo doesn't want to put us in a position where garbage time turnovers alter our national perception. But yes mostly it's just because we are 99% run when in the 4th and up by a good margin.

Michigan State's offense has scored 14 points total in 2 weeks. I'll take a young but talented Blackshirt squad over a Spartan QB carousel any day.

Only thing this helps this early is if we were to lose to UCLA and help their end of the year ranking. Granted, should we beat the Bruins, a couple extra spots could go a long way once we get to Ann Arbor.

If big game Bob is looking to create his own 4 year starter at QB he may need to tweak some schemes.

Hell, the week before kickoff they were going to start their RB at QB. They can have a decent year but not a Big 12 title year.
