Step away from the ledge. We got a lot in front of us, including a shot at a Big Ten title. Who knows how it will all shake out but a win this weekend should be a great thing for Husker Nation regardless of what the committee decides to do with it. I think we've still got to appreciate this season for what it has been and still could be and not get too wrapped up in some of the things we can't control. Beating Wisconsin would be badass, especially in their house. I hope we lay it on thick. Nowhere near the ledge. Ive put the playoff outta my mind for now. We have three games to win before even thinking about post season. Im just saying with the way the rankings "start fresh" weekly, I have no clue where will be should we win this weekend. Seeing Ole Miss and LSU that far up there makes me shake my head. SMH, absolutely no justification for having basically a gauntlet of two loss teams jump us.. freakin nearly have a seriously over ranked 3 loss LSU team about ready to jump us..it's pathetic

yeah, i think so too. but then it is really the team's fault for not getting in. at that point if the fans are still complaining, then they are truly delusional. i don't know!! right now nebraska would need a 16 team playoff... at this pace if we keep winning and or having bye weeks we'll need at least a 32 or 64 team playoff....

I think Miami upsets FSU this weekend. +1 and unfortunately FSU would still be ranked ahead of us.. even with huskers beating wisky!!

I'm not as worried because for the first time this year playing B1G teams on the road and also the first time at camp randall ever we get to play on field turf.. instead of the sh**ty, pay the neighborhood kid 25 bucks to mow twice a month natural grass field that negates the huskers speed advantage.. sooo, i guess i'm happy!

i think in previous years this was definitely the case.. this years squad reminds me more and more of the 2009 huskers! they've spotted teams early leads almost every game this year and yet they're 8-1.. with the michigan state game reminescent of the 09 mizzou game, just started the comeback to late!!

Would also be amazing for Miami to beat fla St, would help us a ton If that could happen in the regular season we would look alot more attractive. If Miami could somehow pull off a conference title win........ If miami could win out and duke and georgia tech drop one.. then florida st. would have to play miami again for the ACC championship!! Seems improbable now but you never know.. they surely couldn't deny us if we win the B1G and have a quality win against the ACC champ.. So if you gonna root for anybody on top of Nebraska this year it's gonna have to be them canes, dagummit!!

the biggest difference is the guy can find seams where most others wouldn't... combination of vision, quickness,shiftiness! You can talk about speed at the second level all you want, but you gotta get there first! and nobody does it better than AA!

Yeah, i remember it that way too, especially in the 80's seemed like an eternity of hopelessness .. if it wasn't for the inception of the Big 12 (or if it would've at least happened a few years later), nebraska would of most likely came within one game of tying the series!! I like your idea of florida state losing twice!! It seems impossible right now but miami's on a roll and they have florida state at home!! Best scenario would be for duke and georgia tech to lose one, then miami to win the ACC out right! Huge quality win for us and eliminates an ACC team in the playoff!!!

i couldn't agree with you more!! wasn't there a time when it was better to lose early than later in the season.. It wasn't perfect but it made sense, when one team lost they would fall in behind the others with the same record.. they sure as hell wouldn't be rewarded for it three days later with a championship game.. ok, excluding the 2001 huskers but really ole miss just lost, wtf!! back of the line!!!!!

In the AP poll, Drew Sharp of the detroit free press doesn't even have us ranked.. he puts michigan state 12th and ohio state 23 rd!! wtf sounds like a bitter michigan alum.. pretty bad when you get no love from writers in your own conference...

also i wonder how saban likes that idea now, the refs choosing when and where to put game changing seconds on the clock, might of cost alabama three consecutive titles!!!

The ball clearly went out of bounds with a :01 second left on the clock, on the scoreboard....but that clock in that instance is counting backward not forward which in turn means there is no way in the mathematical universe theres one full second left. Now if the clock had tenths, then you could put up 0.7 or 0.8 back on the clock and it would be legit..

I cant speak for the rest of the BIG but i bet if Nebraskas bowl game were held in Chicago or Indy against any southern team it would be packed to the rafters, surely a hell of alot fuller than the gater bowl was! and it would be 99% husker fans!

while i hope the BIG doesnt go 1-6! if only one team from the BIG wins a bowl game this year, im glad its us!
