  1. not at all. in your scenario there are only two teams. unless you are saying that it is odd for someone to like both basketball teams. if anything, it is like how everyone in chicago are bears fans, but some are cubs fans and some are sox fans; depending on where they live. That is what I was trying to say. Typically you don't like 2 teams that play each other, in any sport. Especially when they are in such close proximity to one another. Its kind of like saying I'm a fan of X school but I'm a fan of their rival as well. I'll just pick whichever of the 2 is doing better in that particular year. I guarantee if Creighton ends up sucking next year like most think they will, there is going to be a mass influx of Nebrasketball "fans". Some of those same "fans" will be ones who are talking sh#t about Nebrasketball this year, like Minnesota Husker is referencing in the post above this.
  2. A friend and I were having this conversation over the weekend actually. He brought up a good point in that it's like the White Sox and Cubs. You don't live in Chicago and cheer for both teams. You pick one and typically hate the other.

Agreed on Oakland, the others were too similar.

Haha definitely different. Foppa those were probably the 2 I liked the most too.

  3. Bang Bang chicken and shrimp at Cheesecake factory. Decent but not the best thing I've had there.
  4. Interesting they have to sign the contracts. Always wondered how they can hire only good looking women and not be discriminating.
  5. Need someone to build this for me by the time my lawn comes back, so you got about a month. Thanks in advance. http://phys.org/news/2014-02-robotic-ecomow-grass-fuel.html#nwlt

  6. Chicken terryaki with double meat from Sarku Japan
  7. I get to win and I don't have to like looking at Mack Brown's nipples. Best. Day. Ever.
  8. Populations of state and border states as of 2013: Michigan - 9.9M Wisconsin - 5.7M Illinois - 12.8M Indiana - 6.5M Ohio - 11.5M TOTAL - 46.4M Nebraska - 1.8M Colorado - 5.2M Wyoming - 0.5M S Dakota - 0.8M Iowa - 3.1M Missouri - 6.0M Kansas - 2.9M TOTAL - 20.3 So over double the population in surrounding states. 25% of Nebraska'a total is Colorado which doesn't exactly crank out football players. And Pennsylvania is just around the corner for Michigan which adds another 12.7M which would basically give Michigan three times the population base. I think that's a lot of it. +1 That makes sense. Figured it was probably something like that but didn't realize it was such a large gap in surrounding population.
  9. Is the food better at theTilted Kilt than at Hooters? If the food is good and the service is good, then I agree with you. The problem is when these places hang their hat on their waitresses looking hot and the food sucks and takes for ever to get to your table. Kind of defeats the purpose of going to a restaurant. I've been to Twin Peaks 3 times, with last night being the most recent and have not had a bad experience so far. They were very busy last night but the food was good and so was the service. It's far better than hooters, both for food and women. Haven't had a chance to go to Tilted Kilt.
  10. I didn't see this discussed anywhere so my bad if its already been discussed but what does Michigan have that NE doesn't? How do they consistently get top 25 recruiting classes every year? More talent in the surrounding areas? Slightly better location? I just don't see how they pull in such highly ranked classes every year, when to me it seems they have a lot of the same recruiting disadvantages we do
  11. I can't tell you the number of people that don't realize The Daily Currant writes satirical articles and believe everything they write.
  12. I am going to go out on a limb and say that there are decidedly more people demanding for the change than demanding that it not be changed. You may be correct in that a great number of people couldn't care less what the name is but I think their ignorance towards racial slurs could be enlightened if they took a few minutes and understood that it doesn't just refer to the perceived color of a Native American's skin color. Which in itself is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I completely agree that it is demeaning. You don't hear it used that way anymore though. You don't hear people being called "Redskins" like you do with the N word. The only time I ever hear the word is when people are talking about a NFL football team, not another person. It will always have an inherent negative connotation but I don't think it carries the weight it once did when it was created, as it's not really used as a derogatory term anymore. I guess that's why it seems like its not as big of deal to me but I understand the other side of the argument.
  13. The episode that aired last night is intense. Excellent. I'm going to watch it after work tonight. I was hoping for that, with the way episode 3 ended.
  14. Except for the people it is offending...... People will always find something to be "offended" by. I guess this is just an instance where the voice of the few overwhelms the voice of the many. I don't think this issue is one of those "instances" Maybe my perception is wrong, but it seems to me there are lot more people wanting to keep the name than there are people complaining about it and asking for a change. I personally don't know anyone who is offended by it and I know a reasonable amount of people who are part native american. Like I said though, maybe my perception is wrong and might be different if I lived closer to Washington.

  16. People need to quit being so sensitive. The team has had this name for so long that I think the negative connotation is hardly even associated with it anymore. I don't think twice about it being an insult to people when it's said. To me it is nothing more than a team name, which I imagine is how most people feel. It's not like they're called the N words or something.
