  1. It might not be so hard to be a Pelini in Nebraska if you lived in Arizona, or Texas, or Florida. Kids get over a move. or maybe just not having a d*ck for a brother
  2. Just stop with the 9 win thing. 9 wins simply means you win less than 70% of your games. Not exactly something to brag about. TO won 83% of his games, he can [won't] brag all he wants.T_O_B Hahaha! You are hilarious. It may not get more anti-Bo Pelini around here than me. Maybe NuPolo8 takes that trophy home but I can assure you, I have no respect for him as a man or a a coach. If you ever took the time to read anything I've ever said here, literally over my entire five+ years here, you'd kow that unlike many, I never once hung my hat on nine wins as if that was some great accomplishment or the goal. So please, get outta here preaching to me about the nine wins garbage. There's plenty of other people around here who tote that nine wins stat around in every defense of their beloved Bo Pelini. Nine wins over mostly garbage teams and blowout losses to any decent team were the repeating theme for seven years. I don't need to rehash what a terrible coach I think Pelini is....or at least I never thought I left that opinion open for interpretation. I'm glad he's gone, Still, nine wins was quite a comfort zone for a lot of people. A lot. Not only was it the comfort zone or standard for some fans, but the team and the coaches had seemed to just come to accept it. What Eichorst did in blowing up that comfort zone took balls. It took guts. That was my point that sailed over your head. Many, many athletic directors in the same situation would have sat on their hands and rode the coat tails of this nine win comfort zone for all eternity. A change was needed, but not everybody agreed on that. I credit Eichorst for recognizing that, and in the face of immense pressure, making the change. Like I said, it took guts. Sorry to derail this thread in any way. I felt I had to defend myself on the ridiculous thought of someone actually labeling me as some sort of Boliever. Haha! We got Bo nuthuggers all over this board. Sorry, I'm just not one of them. Well said True. That's why we(most) are considered smart football fans. GBR!
  3. Clearly another Bo brainwashed automaton. We should be excited about Coach Riley, he's the first coach we have hired who is a actual college head coach since Bobby D! Get for the kids and getting back to simple fundamentals of player sound football
  4. Heard today that since Boyd has all the other sports here, he will take over the football S&C too.
  5. After waking from my nap, I cant disagree with you, nobody wants a program with a new head coach every 3-5 years, that said I would be willing to bet money if Bo gets to a conference championship, and wins. BCS bowl either way, win or lose, he leaves on his own. He may love the kids, but he doesn't love the college, its chancellor, media, and he sure as heck don't like the fans. But its all he's got right now. I don't think you will see him here for the next 10-20 years. He also should talk to coach Miles on how to get a signature win and continue to show improvement. Yeah I know, the 30 point beat down Ohio st. gave us earlier. Those are the things that keep people in your corner, even if you don't win CCS and get to a BCS bowl. Its called improvements. not six years of getting throttled by 50 points 3-4 times a year, bad play calling, penalties, fumbles, etc. etc. you all know the drill. Notice I said nothing about a national championship, not only would that be Hi-lari-ous to mention, Its also that, not all of us entitle-ist expect that every year or even every 10-15 years.
  6. Pelini only did a great job righting the ship because he had T.O.'s hand in his back. "We will give you your first head coaching job if you do this", so to speak. Don't act like he did it on his own accord. I may never be a Boliever . The guy is a cartoon. I have a relative that played golf with him once and said he was a major dick. No way to prove that to anyone, but if you think he acts like that just on the field, your nuts. I thought the bowl game was a big improvement in all phases of our game. Those are the type of consistent improvements you look for. If they would have lost, I would have been satisfied with the game plan, effort and clean game. But those improvements have not been consistent over 6 years. we have went backwards in areas. Everybody can change, Bo handled himself like a head coach of a major program during the bowl game. If that continues, my opinion could change as well. But in 6 years that has yet to happen. I will always support the program.
  7. Your thread was horrible from the start and your sources suck. A lot of you guys on this board think Bo is a God, If he's so great, and this place sucks(facilities, recruiting, etc.) according to some here, why is no one knocking on his door and why isn't he looking? He probably is looking and AD's are laughing in his agents face. He doesn't want to be here, but nobody is knocking on the door because he is a train wreck. Bottom line is he is going nowhere until we get the balls and money to fire him. This is a great place and program, we can do better. After 14 years of mediocrity, we deserve better. no sense of entitlement there. Your GD right I got a sense of entitlement. Me and a lot of people are shelling out hard earned money for tickets, merch, etc. We will see how self-righteous and liberal you are when the sell out streak ends and cuts need to be made to other programs, because the stadium is half full. you don't realize how much the football revenue pays for at the university. It will happen with people like you.

Youre not allowed to celebrate when we win next year Its Bozos like you that have never won anything in your life (although I'm sure you'll post differently) who think that what has happened to this program is ok. All we need is nine wins now, but what will it be in 5 years? just get 6 wins and we are successful. You just want your medal for participation. Even with jerks like you around, I still support the team and always have. The kids are great, even though the coaches haven't been. I'll be waiting for ya next year
