    After watching a lot of good football tonight, particularly the Egg and Iron Bowls, I think we need to recognize that Nebraska not only has coaching issues but talent issues on the field. The QBs/LBs/WRs on those teams absolutely outclass Nebraska. We have to start pulling in top 15 classes on a yearly basis to really compete with the best teams in the country.

      I agree, I don't think it's an issue of talent so much as an issue of development.

      Development is an issue ... I agree. But for me, I think the both the blocking schemes and the defensive schemes are just too damn complicated. We would serve our players better if we had base blocking schemes that we excel at and run plays to those we block well for. Secondly, on the defensive side, simplify the schemes so our players have confidence and can truly use there speed. The Bo years have been full of "mechanical players" on D with only a few able to truly pick up the sc...

      I think the talent is there but as many have echoed on here there is a development issue. If its bo or the cordinators i dont know. But our last 2 qbs havent evoked confidence at all when throwing the ball most of the time. And the ball control has been way suspect in Bos tenure as well. But honestly this is not news, it is apparent that there is a problem in these areas. 7 years this sh*t needs to be taken care of.
