  1. What? No. Although there is a significant labor shortage that's unlikely to change which could be addressed through better immigration policies. I'm making a case that Illegal Immigrants aren't responsible for gun violence as you seem to believe. Which I provided you with two citations for, as per your request.
  2. Republicans are a serious political party. They are in no way grifting their electoratewith political theater. This is almost as serious as their unwavering commitment to reducing government spending, as evidenced by their steadfast balanced budgets while in office.
  3. I was mostly being sarcastic, but yes. Trumps coalition involves motivating his base to vote in such overwhelming numbers that - combined with large systemic advantages Rs enjoy in elections - propels him to victory. These charges depress further what few swing voters are out there. The truth is, though, an election rematch between Trump-Biden would again be extremely close, decided by 4 swing states all of which likely to be within 1-2%. This is because the Trump base is going to vote no matter what, and that base is distributed in swing states that decide elections.
  4. Yeah, but Joe Biden is 80 years old. That's just as bad.
  5. "If the predator-grooming-CRT-infected-libs keep successfully suing Trump for sexual assault allegations I'll have no choice but to vote for him a third time" -Republican voters
  6. I'm waiting for the poster - who voted for this guy twice - concerned about moral decay caused by Democrats to chime in on this one so I know how to react.
  7. It's going to be interesting to see if this helps his poll numbers with the Republican base a little bit. Or if it launches is poll numbers with Republican voters to the absolute stratosphere. We'll see!
  8. I agree with the overall point Archy makes, but I do have a problem with the bold. We tend to place the blame on politicians like they're making these boneheaded decisions in a vacuum. They're being elected by a constituency that wants it to be this way.
  9. There's a lot of gobbidy-gook nonsense in here. What I want is for the brains of children not to be splattered on the sidewalk of my local mall. Something that isn't caused by drag shows, sexual books, or anything else. It is caused by guns, which your voting behavior readily provides to any bozo that wants one. I don't know why I'm wasting my time providing this to you since a factual and statically based analysis isn't going to do diddly-squat, but here ya go: link. (Bonus link from the University of Wisconsin) It's really not a surprise. Most illegal immigrants are aware they are, in fact, here illegally and would prefer to stay under the radar. Synopsis: "The study found that undocumented immigrants had substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses. Relative to undocumented immigrants, U.S.-born citizens are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes"
  10. Are you joking or is the cognitive dissonance so high you genuinely believe you haven't used immigrants crossing the border as a reason for homicide rates?
  11. That's a pretty good summary. Not mentioned is why even more progressive - and further along the path of his perceived moral decay - countries of Western Europe are considerably safer. If moral decay is the problem, why are more progressive societies better? Does he want the United States to emulate far safer societies found in Western Europe? Of course not, that would require his worldview to contain at least some modicum of consistency. He can't say that guns are the problem because he votes in favor of their expansion. So he blames immigrants - a tried and true tactic going back centuries. This of course ignores the realities that Western Europe has their own immigration crisis without the corresponding mass shootings, but I digress.
  12. Are you implying that it's illegal immigrants bringing Mexican violence across the border that contributes to our homicide rates? Because that seems to be what you're doing. Regarding homicide rates, you should compare the United States with other developed first world countries. Hint: the United States does not fair well despite having more resources. Also hint, the European countries that are much safer aren't run by conservatives with a brainwashed population that think gun ownership makes them safe. But hey, this is all a waste of time. A guy could blast the brains of a child onto your shirt the next time you're getting gas and you're going to blame the individual instead of the laws that allow him to buy gun.
  13. If this doesn't explain the hopelessness of the problem and how voters view themselves, then nothing does. In no world are they going to look themselves in the mirror and realize that they're allowing this. Mentally ill people exist all over the world: but one country is pretty unique in the number of mass shootings. I realize pointing this out is just going to elicit a response to justify your voting behavior - which directly leads to the slaughter of innocent people. So congrats on that, see you by next week on this thread for the next one.
  14. I'm pretty sure one political side has pushed gun ownership via a basterdized view of the second Amendment while other side has taken a different view. I know it's uncomfortable to think that your voting behavior has led to a 5 year olds brains splattered across a shopping mall sidewalk, but own this. One political side has voted for a vast expansion of gun ownership over the other. Conservatives always try to brush off their harmful voting behavior - why? Just say that the slaughtering of innocent people is worth it to you. Your vote already does as much, just say it.
  15. Yeah, I mean there is no hope. This poster is so diluted that his voting behavior won't change no matter what. We just have to accept that our Republicans neighbors who vote are fine with people being slaughtered. It's not going to change, so all we can do is mock and deride them as they deserve.
  16. It's sad, but accepted. Republican voters aren't going to change their ways, no matter how graphic the results of their voting behavior is. I mean a guy on this board thinks America is undergoing moral decay because of trans people and would never realize the above is because of his voting behavior.
  17. God bless America. The Founding Fathers would no doubt double... no wait, triple down on the 2nd Amendment. I can actually hear the Star Spangled Banner playing off in the distance.
  18. I understand this. Beating divisional teams is the next step for Nebraska. Unfortunately for them, the best teams in our soon-to-be eliminated division just so happen to be some of the best developmental programs in the country. Nebraska is unlikely to do it at their level - few teams do, with the exception of Utah. What Nebraska can do is field more talent to make up for it, something they are on pace to fail at given the current recruiting class.
  19. Nebraska has not recruited well, in my opinion, over the last several years. People focus too much on the final class ranking number - finishing with the #24 class for example - without realizing that's not much different than the class that finishes at #45 or #50. The difference is class size and one or two 4* players. Nebraska is going to have to both develop players like Rhule has done AND acquire high end talent. Nebraska isn't just competing with Ohio State and Michigan, but with the elimination of divisions they have to contend with the recruiting prowess of USC and Penn State as well.
  20. This is pretty much what is said every year about every mid 3* recruit. I genuinely hope that this kid is a good player, but Nebraska needs to finish their class with 40% (or higher) blue chip recruits. Those are 4* and 5* players. They need to finish with 8-10 of those players every year. This is just to have a roster that is still vastly inferior to the top of the conference, but it should give Nebraska a punchers chance. With six total commits and one 4* player, Nebraska is behind pace. I agree with you there. Rhule and Co are getting to the point where they need to land the two California players, land at least two of the highest rated in state recruits, and find two or three more 4* players elsewhere. They absolutely have the ability to do it, but hopefully they do it soon.
  21. Hopefully he turns into a good player. But Nebraskas talent acquisition for this class is nowhere close to where it needs to be.
  22. I don't think it's the trips as much as it's the: *Buying property *Paying thousands to the crazy wife of a SCOTUS judge The corruption here is OBVIOUS. But honestly Thomas could sacrifice babies from the bench during oral arguments and Conservatives would still rationalize why it's normal.
  23. These liberal smear jobs are a joke! *newly established BS ethical guidelines require that I reveal to you that Harlan Crow bought my last house.
