I'm shocked they were concerned about crimes. Have they had more than a 10 second conversation with their voters? Even they underestimated the already low-bar Republican represent. Their hatred of America descends to a new low everyday. They aren't even close to the floor.

I'd be shocked if it has a meaningful impact on the midterms. I can see it costing Republicans a House seat or two, but overall they're still going to win 35-40 House seats and 3-5 Seante seats.

The youth most certainly are liberal, but they always have been. They're also the least likely to vote. Furthermore, after graduating college they're moving to cities, increasing the urban rural divide. By 2040, 70% of Senators will be elected by 30% of the population. I'm not sure what this means, but it's not good for America.

I've explained this a few times in other posts, but basically getting more votes does not win you the Presidency. Yes, Trump is likely to perform the same or slightly worse relative to 2020. But frankly, he doesn't have to do any better. In fact, he can perform worse nationally by 1% or more and still win. This is because the PVI (Partisan Voting Index) is trending towards Republicans rapidly, because the electoral college rewards geography over raw votes. In 2016, to win Democrats needed to win the popular vote by 2.2%. They won by 2.1% and lost. By 2020, the PVI increased such that a Democrat had to win the popular vote by 4.3% (an increase of 2.1% over 2016). They won by 4.4% and won. By 2024, it's likely this trend continues. The Democratic candidate probably needs to win the popular vote by 5-5.5%, a nearly impossible margin, in order to win. This trend is worse in the Senate - which Democrats are unlikely to win back for two decades - and is something that will get worse in the electoral college until Texas turns blue in the 2032 or 2036 election cycle.

It's not as important as other groups, but still necessary to curb the spread to older people as much as possible. I agree, it's at the margins. The coalition of Democrats is easily fractured, so I can see small portions - mostly college educated White men - breaking rank. Not many others though. Difficult to say. With ideological sorting, my best guess is that moderate candidates like the ones you mentioned would do better with college educated whites, especially men, and worse with the black coalitions of the Democrats. The net gain may not be much, but maybe a few percent? In a hypothetical where the Democratic Party were the ones destroying American Democracy motivated by conspiracy, I'd guess the college educated portions would not tolerate it. It's why individuals with Bachelors Degrees overwhelmingly vote for Democrats in the first place.

As for your Cheetos handling of Covid, that analysis was reported here. According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins, found here, the US is second in the world in deaths per 100k people. The vast majority of those deaths are among the unvaccinated, as shown in the first link. Comparing it to the Eurozone is difficult, but the average deaths per 100k people in Italy, the UK, Portugal, France, Spain, and Germany would be an average number of deaths: 234 in the Eurozone vs 308 (per 100k) in America, nearly 25% less. Extrapolated out to the 1,000,000 or so people who've died so far, that's 250k more people than Europe.
