Well hell, many on the board thought Fresno was going to be a glorified scrimmage, and they gave us a ballgame into the mid3rd quarter. Nothing is a given with this team nor should anyone be overlooked. lol this game was never close. Fresno got lucky and we blew punt protection. This game was just like old Nebraska, run run run run, than in the second half the opposing team is gassed. The announcers even mentioned how the Fresno players were walking to the bench gasping for air, and holding their hips. Our fans might be overlooking Wyoming but this team certainly is not. Bo is gone, we have a coach who gets his team to play hard every week regardless of the team they are playing..

I say we get ranked at 24 or 25. We put a whooping on Fresno. Too bad it wasn't a hundred points like all you would like lol. The team played very physical. The only downfall was penalties and a blocked punt. This team will only get better each week, and I expect Coach Riley to get the penalties cleaned up.

Disagree on the bold. A real QB will shred this team, which was a problem last year, although the staff finally seemed to settle on how they want to run the ball which should help this team. I'm going to get flamed for this, but the targeting rule was the right call. Gifford hit the QB with his helmet, it doesn't matter if it was not intentional or if it wasn't severe. Good win tonight. The play calling never deviated away from the run. When we passed it was methodical and well timed. Tommy played smart, and the coaches called a great game for Tommy I was encouraged to see Coach Riley upset with the penalties. Coach did not become overly excited about the win and seemed to see that this team needs to clean up the penalties. TCU is barley beating South Dakota State, Oklahoma lost to Houston, no 5 LSU ost to an unranked Wisconsin team. This team has momentum and started the season off on a good foot. I look forward to seeing this team grow and watching our young lines become better each week. I was curious as to why DPE was not returning punts. I do believe that this game was strategically conservative, and that we could have easily scored 60 points if we passed.
