  1. Interesting. You would think we would be all over a top 250 kid from KC. Suprised he hasn't visited or camped being 3 hours away.
  2. Reilly makes sense with the DUI. Rumor I saw with Nate was missing too many classes.
  3. Trump +15 in Nebraska in latest or only poll http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/nebraska/#now
  4. There are several articles out discussing the Brexit vote and how pollsters were so wrong and missed thr undercurrent of support. They also show the parallels with Trump and how the US election plays out. Nate Silver who claims to be an expert in predictions was 100% wrong about Trump? Why? Because his "scientific" approach uses past election results to predict future outcomes. If the past poll and election results were so far off in predicting the primaries, I think its going to rely on these same polls to predict the November results. I see people mention the bolded all the time. Go back and look at his models based on the polls. He hit 89% (or whatever it was) right. He was wrong when he said "I don't think Trump will win the nomination". His models showed Trump winning most primaries. When he put on his "pundit hat" and gave his own observations he was wrong (just like most everyone else). Hell, his model showed Trump winning the Iowa caucus, which was instead won by Cruz. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/election-2016/primary-forecast/iowa-republican/
  5. Silver went off on this yesterday... https://twitter.com/natesilver538/status/768205513079263232 https://twitter.com/natesilver538/status/768447546029113344
  6. I've actually spent some time this morning looking for the video of this. It's just the latest in ridiculous things. So......Republicans hammer Democrats claiming they govern by looking at polls. Then...their candidate changes his stance on immigration by polling a TV audience. This same stance that was a corner stone of his primary campaign. Trump loves polls. His new campaign manager is a pollster. Add those together...
  7. A pattern of bringing facts to the situation? Sometimes things are coincidence sometimes they aren't. Called out on what? Being proven correct in many things after more facts come out? If he was thinking about leaving in the spring, and he stayed, you would think that Williams has a large deal to do with this. If he was hanging on by a thread, and the man who is helping you hold that thread is gone for 4 weeks, you might decide, enough is enough? Articles will rarely tell the entire story. Calling me out? Just because I don't toe the line of loving every thing in the program does, does not make me wrong. I will be at every game, like I have for 12 years, losing my voice, getting told to sit down, and continuing my critical, cynical, fact based opinions. And supporting my team. IIRC, Williams is only suspended from the practice fields until 8/31. He will be back coaching at practice next Thursday. He just won't be at the 1st four games.
  8. Alston, Darlington, and McQuitty as well. Forgot about ZD and McQ. Austin = Alston in my post. I'll fix.
  9. With Grim gone, the door is even more wide open for immediate PT at WR next year. (Scholly WRs next year: Alston, Morgan, DPE, Spielman, Williams, Darlington + KJJ, McQuitty) Misters Lewis and Calvin, come on down!
  10. I think Grim leaving cements JDS playing this year.
  11. I thought they called him that b/c he dyed his hair red
  12. If in fact he was thinking of leaving in the spring, I'm guessing that enrolling last semester was a problem. It has to be tough showing up in January when all your friends are still in HS. He didn't know anyone and didn't have a fellow freshman support system (besides POB) to lean on. He also turns 18 next week, so he is young for his grade. I wonder if it would have turned out differently if he had finished HS in the spring and then showed up over the summer? It's too bad, but if his heart isn't in it then its for the best that he leaves now to open up practice reps for someone else. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.
  13. This is the best paragraph that I have read about Trump yet. Nails him down to a "T". From The Guardian: I'm a doctor. The real issue isn't Hillary Clinton's health – it's that she might win It’s almost as if Trump is reading from a textbook on how to invent and disseminate conspiracy theories. First, target those who feel most alienated and disempowered. Then, identify a complex social or political threat to control, which might include stagnant wages, demographic changes or terrorism. Next, identify an outsider group such as China, Latino immigrants, blacks or Muslims who you can blame. Then tell a simple, black-and-white story of conflict between good versus evil, us versus the other. Finally, say the system is "rigged" by the mainstream media or the elite.
  14. Yeah, that was bizarre. As I recall, it's not like the safeties were trying to cover two guys or something like that. They just totally failed to have anyone anywhere near our best WR. It's proof that you can have one of the best defenses in the country and you can still have mistakes and miscommunication. These are college kids not robots. The other option being that the coach made a terrible decision on what defense should be run and the kids were running what was called. I thought that TA credited Riley/Langs for have the MSU D scouted perfectly. The basically knew if we ran that formation in that situation that Westy would be wide open. edited: Having a good idea of how the Michigan State defense would play it, offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf said NU formationed to get Westerkamp in the slot to run a particular seam route rather than throwing toward the sidelines. “Westy had a good feel of that route all week, and we felt they were a little vulnerable in the middle,” Langsdorf said. “We knew they were going to kind of go with those three high safeties,” Armstrong said. “We kind of played it smart by watching film, watching certain plays that other guys ran on them in certain situations. I think that it was great that it actually showed up." http://www.omaha.com/huskers/this-time-jordan-westerkamp-sets-up-the-miracle/article_e87153a4-85e1-11e5-b621-e7e9317f4db1.html
  15. I would be surprised if this margin holds steady until November. I have a feeling Trump is going to narrow it again. But do think that in the end Hillary will win by 5+ points and get over 300 EC votes.
