  1. I don’t disagree that Biden got caught making claims that aren’t entirely true or things he should be taking credit for. I expect politicians to do that crap. What I disagree with is the spin of the source and how valuable that information is. Anybody with half a functioning brain knows what conclusions Americans for Prosperity are going to arrive at. Posting that is the equivalent of me telling my wife what is going to happen in a Hallmark movie after watching the first 5 minutes. So in a way you’re right, it wasn’t worth my effort to point out the worthlessness of the source.
  2. I can’t refute something that the other person is not willing to use common sense on. That link you posted is blaming “Bidenomics” for all the listed problems. Like he is solely responsible for anything and everything that happens in the economy. Yeah he takes credit for things he shouldn’t and he gets blamed for things he shouldn’t. That’s politicians being a politician and partisans doing what they do. Sorry if I’m not going to play along with the charade of it all being due to Bidenomics. In case you haven’t noticed, the economy kind of does what it’s going to do regardless the WH occupant. Certain policies may help or hinder but that little PAC funded hit piece is certainly nothing anybody should put much stock in. But go right ahead and keep teeing up the partisan BS, it’s what we expect.
  3. “Sourced”? More like curated for a purpose. Are you really still under the delusion that the R party is the party of fiscal responsibility? I used to also think that once upon a time. Hate to break it to ya but neither party is fiscally responsible. One party simply votes no on any spending measure the other party comes up with. And then they turn around and give tax breaks to the ultra rich and big corps. Both have the same fiscal effect. But I guess it’s good enough for you to glean “sourced” data.
  4. I don’t think Colorado thought they would be successful in keeping Trump off the ballot. Maybe…maybe with a different SCOTUS but definitely not with this one. As for if it was stupid, only time will tell. Trump supporters have a history of taking anything just exactly how they want to. I’m not sure giving them this ruling helps them in anyway. If they had lost, they would’ve just pivoted to more witchhunt and Dem controlled system persecuting dear leader. There’s really no winning when a group has their head that far up their collective arse.
  5. Jeezuz, make a frikken shot
  6. IDK man, it’s kind of nice knowing where all the worst employees are going to be. Without fast food places those people could end up in jobs anywhere. Yeah, I’ve been screwed over in too many drive thrus.
  7. So all the people that do it right can still be exposed by the anti-vax whackos. I think that’s effed up. Measles, Mumps Polio etc., if you elect to not be vaxxed then that should relegate you to home schooling. Put me in charge of these things for one week if you want some problems solved.
  8. We’re talking Austin TEXAS here. Obviously the solution is tougher abortion laws, further arming citizens with more and better automatic weapons and for godsakes, let’s pick up the pace on book burnings.
  9. I knew you could opt out of some vaccines but (serious question coming) can kids without MMR or polio vaccines attend school in person?
  10. Oh I’m sure they’ll use it both ways. Heck they may as well be using dynamic pricing now. Between inflation and my infrequent fast food trips, I really have no idea what anything is going to cost now.
  11. Well thanks in advance for the $22 Dave’s Double
  12. Yeah my guess is they got so much blowback on the surge pricing, now they have to spin it. Everybody knows they aren’t spending that much cabbage on new fancy menu boards just to offer discounts.
  13. Or maybe not… But after news outlets ran stories warning that Wendy's was planning to hike prices during the busier times of day, company executives tried to better explain what Tanner meant. "To clarify, Wendy's will not implement surge pricing, which is the practice of raising prices when demand is highest," Wendy's Vice President Heidi Schauer said in an email to NPR. "We didn't use that phrase, nor do we plan to implement that practice." Wendy's didn't provide many additional details, but it said in a separate statement that the digital menus could allow the company to offer discounts to customers during slower times of day.
  14. I am not happy with the Avalanche today. They traded Kurtis MacDermid to the Devils for some nobody prospect and a 2024 7th round pick. Toughest enforcer in the league and they’ve had him riding pine and now trade him. He could play forward or defense and they really weren’t losing that much playing him on the 4th line. Helped keep the other team’s tough guys in check. I hope he beats the s#!t out of one of our players the next time we play New Jersey. Now the toughest guy we have is Manson. He’ll go but he’s no Dermie.
  15. I’ll save you some time and myself some effort. I don’t like Desantis. It’s that simple. If you want to believe it’s because of the national media or because I haven’t personally vetted him properly, I’m okay with that. You’re not going to change my mind. And it doesn’t matter anyway. He has already come as close as he ever will to sniffing the WH. If you want to write him in, fine by me. Hell I wrote in Liz Cheney on my primary ballot just to send a message.
  16. Believe what you want. I’ve heard him speak numerous times and am aware of his far right preferences regarding schools, books, wokeness etc. If you want to blame it on “the media” for showing him speak, I guess I can’t stop you. He’s just a guy I will never like even if he had policies I found attractive. Seems like he has little d!(k syndrome to me
  17. The cost of healthcare was/is skyrocketing with or without the ACA. That they failed to address that most important aspect is my biggest disappointment. At least some people who couldn’t afford coverage can now. If the Rs wouldn’t have spent every waking hour fighting against it and the mandate, maybe it could’ve been better. So yeah, doing something is an improvement over obstructing everything. And btw, my perception of Desantis doesn’t have anything to do with national coverage. He’s a whiny little dicknosed b!^@h that is more interested in headlines than actual policy.
  18. No, DJT and the other R crazies don’t change a thing about what Obama did or didn’t do. But he did attempt to work across the aisle in an attempt to better our country. And he did get at least something done towards trying to fix our healthcare quagmire. It may be in retrospect now but those are things absolutely nobody on the R side has even attempted in a long time. It’s more nuanced than simply saying DJT or some crazies alone changed my mind. I think the problem with your list of Gaetz, Boebert, MTG, Tuberville and the Turtle is that it does not include Desantis. Given your feelings about him, it really casts a cloud of suspicion over your denouncement of the others. JMO as he is from the same cut as the others.
  19. But what does any of this have to do with anything? How somebody may have felt about Romney 12 years ago? If your point is that many people are or used to be highly partisan, well hello captain obvious. And back to my response and your sensed incongruity of my prior statements. I may be slightly misremembering when my thoughts about Obama changed. No, I didn’t like him originally and yes, I did change to thinking he was okay. Did I vote for him instead of Romney in 2012? TBH I don’t remember for sure. I may have voted for Romney and sometime later come to accept Obama. s#!t man, I’m getting old and that was 12 years, an insurrection and a pandemic ago. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything currently except that is the timeframe for when the republican party jumped the tracks, for me anyway.
  20. No. She was the mean one and then she stole my words and made millions off of it.
  21. Are you drunk? Serious question because you are rambling on about nothing relevant.
  22. This bulls#!t is exactly why Taylor and I broke up years ago. Things were pretty hot and heavy between us then she dropped the same rules on me. I told her what she could do with her clothing allowance (only $250k at that time). She begged me to reconsider but I dumped her a$$. I told her that she was being mean and that we were never getting back together.
  23. You might have me confused with someone else. Where/when did I say anything about Romney being the lesser of two evils? I also never said I couldn’t name one thing I liked about Romney. I only said I didn’t recall how I felt about him in 2012. ???
