  1. That is what concerns me the most. How can you have so many years of coaching experience and make the decisions the coaches make. Mind chilling. It truly is chilling...
  2. I'd venture a guess those "f*ing clowns" have achieved much more in life than you have. Let that settle in. Actually, I have had a very successful life. So thanks for your stupid comment.
  3. This sums it up. To think the coaches didn't even try to get a first down which would have won the game and thought they could stop them when every fan in the stadium and at home knew as soon as we gave the ball back it was over. Unbelievable. 4 losses squarely on the shoulders of the coaches.
  4. Fire these fu*&'ing clowns that we have as a coaching staff. One first down, one FIRST DOWN and we win the game.
  5. Let's get real...we are just awful on offense. This is embarrassing and Wisconsin isn't even that good. This coaching staff has no clue and Tommy has regressed in his passing back to yesteryear.
  6. I am just the opposite, I am proud to be a part of a fan base that wants to win and recognizes that an inept coaching staff has cost us 2 games so far.
  7. Would be interesting to see what would happen if they fired this staff tomorrow and let TO coach for the rest of the year. I think our running game could be pretty effective and get Tommy back to passing the short game with only a few down-the-field-looks. I am still confused on our running back situation, seems like guys play a game or a few downs are are never seen again. Is there a Riley doghouse or is this just more examples of his piss-poor coaching techniques? I still would like to see Frost come back, I would be much more supportive of someone young and from NU and let him grown into the job. I just don't have patience for Riley and company ... I know some do and such, but I am sick of this already and it's barely October and in year 1. Ugh.
  8. Really?? 5 games in with no chance to replenish the team with better talent. We have identified one cancer on the team in Lewis, is McMullen another? Locker room chemistry is very important and is the 408 holdovers are undermining the team, There is no fixing it until Riley can get rid of them. Five games in for me is plenty of time, I have seen us lose to BYU and Illinois from simple coaching mistakes and then add in the other loss to Miami, I have seen enough. Give Riley the best players in the world and we will still see these same coaching errors, that won't change and his record at OSU is reflective of this as well. Going to be a long 2-3 years:(
  9. Excellent post and exactly how I am feeling right now as well.
  10. How so? I get that there were many reasons for firing Pelini, but if Nebraska fires a 9-4 coach, surely they won't waste too much time with Riley. We still need to make our mark in the B1G. I agree, no way Riley makes it for 3 years if this keeps up. He will be next year but if it's like this, he's gone midway through.
  11. Agree. So what do we do? We all are chanting "Fire Riley" and his staff but there's probably .000001 chance of that happening even though I would love to see it to show the country we are serous about winning and won't accept this but ... won't happen. So we just suffer through this season and then drink the koolaid for next Fall? We've replaced a coach who would lose 1-2 games a year in horrible fashion with a coach who might win one big game a year but lose the majority of the rest. Bleak-looking future:(
  12. What he said! We all knew we had lost at the :55 second mark and that is just sad.
  13. It truly was pathetic. Illinois looked horrible from start to about the :55 second mark, this should have been a 35-7 game at worst. Just one of the worst efforts and most disorganized, dumb play calling on offense. I would love to see everyone fired to send a message we care about sucking this bad:(
  14. We went from a hot head who I lost respect for to a guy who I don't respect because of his decisions on the field and also the fact he brought his entire staff with him who are showing us they have no clue on how to play division one football.
  15. So true. This season is going to set the program so far back it's not even funny.
  16. I agree. The clock and ball management in the 4th Qtr. alone was horrific. Possession after possession where we needed to get some first downs and score, even a field goal, and nothing. As like most of you, I called it when we gave them the ball back with less than a minute to go, you could just tell the game was over and we lost. This is a really bad team and it starts with the coaching. But what do you expect? We bring in a coach and 90% of his staff from a team that mostly a :500 club and we are getting the same results. Ugh.
  17. Did you know that Charlie McBride went to Colorado? Did you not root for him because of that? I said "many" not all.... I'm fine if I am the only one who feels this way, but rooting for basically the entire OSU staff that is now on our sidelines is a bit tough. I support them, like Coach Riley, thought it was time for Bo to move on, but that said, they have no ties to our program or state. If that's fine for you, that's okay too.
  18. I learned I miss the days when NU would rack up 500+ yards of offense and keep the opponent to 250 or less. I also miss the days where the camera would pan the opposing team's player near the end of the 3Q and they would be reaching for the oxygen masks because we ran them to death. And finally, I miss those days when I looked the sidelines and saw all of our coaches and knew that many either played at NU, were from Nebraska or had some ties to the state and program so it was just easy to root and support them. P.S. That said, TA gave a heck of an effort, hard to blame him for his mistakes, that's just how he plays ... good and bad.
  19. Great post, thanks for writing this. One of your points upsets me a lot as well, the inability to get a 1st down as that would have kept our momentum alive on several possessions. Too much east-west running on those short downs and not enough power plays to get that 3 feet. A couple of those really killed the game for us. Kicking? Ugh.
