  1. I would still take their kicker over ours
  2. That is even a bigger slap in the face that their QB is a better punter than our dedicated punter.
  3. This game is proving to me that Frost is not the right coach for this team. His offense is chaotic and has zero identity
  4. Can we get buffalo’s special teams and punter
  5. Doing the same thing and expecting different results is MADNESS.
  6. Our level of playing is not at an FBS level.
  7. Four years with the same coaching staff and the results are atrocious.
  8. Buffalo might score before us. Our offense is anemic.
  9. We are really a very poorly coached team. Our games are boring compared to real college football
  10. I wonder what it would take for our media to ask the tough questions and ask Frost why his special teams are anything but special. In fact, they are pathetic and miserable.
  11. Our extremely unspecial teams are an embarrassment…can’t score from 32 yards. From this point on, I will refer to our unspecial teams as our s#!ttyass teams
  12. It is sooooooo nice to see other team’s drive stall due to penalties
  13. I have a bad feeling about this one…they are moving the ball efficiently
  14. Our special teams are our biggest weakness and they will cost us some close games. Even against an FCS opponent, they did not do anything special. The miscues at the start of the game would have been devastating if we were playing Wisconsin, Iowa, OSU, Minnie, or Michigan. We cannot afford to fall behind and start chasing the game. AM is not built for that. Our special teams are not built for that, and our coaches do not make the right calls when we are in panic mode. After 4 years of seeing no improvement in special teams, you would think that someone who is paid $5 million a year would realize it is time to hire a GOOD special teams coach. If Iowa can recruit a good special teams coach, why can’t we? May be Frost does not have any buddies who are special teams coaches? Do a NATIONAL SEARCH for Husker Nation’s sakes.
  15. Would not surprise me at this point. It sad how low we sunk over the past 4 years.
  16. If we played UTSA today, we would have lost too. We lost to a not so good Illinois team. That alone tells you how far we have come along. In contrast, Chip Kelly started with UCLA at the same time Frost started with Nebraska. UCLA is competing with the 16th ranked LSU and winning, and we lost to Illinois who lost to UTSA at home. Not enough beer in the fridge to help me forget this scenario. I am just hoping that we do not get embarrassed again on national TV in Oklahoma. That will sink the dagger in the heart of our recruiting.
  17. Honestly, this game does not tell me much. It is an FCS opponent. Even Riley won those. Here is my take on this game: (1) we started really slow. If we were playing a Big Ten opponent, we would have been down 4 touchdowns after first quarter and we would have spent the entire game playing catch up. (2) we do not have real depth at many key positions and that will show up late in the season (3) I really do not think Frost and company are good in recruiting the right talent. When he went to UCF, he coached with the talent that was already there since he was only there for two years. After four years at Nebraska, he and his coaches still cannot recruit a good QB. I also do not see a break out player that can be the difference between winning and losing. For example, we do not have the likes of Divine Ozigbo, Ameer Abdullah, Stanley Morgan, JD Spielman who can take over and will us to victory. We played Fordham, an FCS opponent, and did what we were expected to do, which is great. However, how would this translate to games with real opponents. Iowa, penn state, Wisconsin, Minnesota are playing at a much higher level than us. I do not see us winning many Big games with this team. Moreover, our unspecial teams continue to be unspecial and they are a huge liability against opponents with a pulse. Frost needs to hire a dedicated special teams coach immediately because our special teams are chaotic and undependable and will cost a few games this season.
  18. Because it is OSU and the refs have been asked to help OSU reach the playoffs…if that was us, we would get targeting call against us 100%.
  19. I am not a PJ Fleck fan…far from it…he annoys the hell out of me but I have to give him credit for how his team performs. They COMPETE and they play smart disciplined football.
  20. I wonder if Frost and his coaches watch these games and ask themselves how far off they are from righting this ship. The half time adjustments by OSU are amazing. New QB and they keep rolling. On the contrary, Adrian Martinez looks much worse in year 4 than in year 1. Is that coaching or bad talent?
  21. We can all agree that both Minnie and OSU games are on the loss column based on what I am seeing in this game. It is painfully obvious we are not in the same league as OSU but even more sad that Minnie looks legit and ready to compete. If we played OSU last Saturday, it would have been 100-0 OSU.
  22. Regardless of what was or was not said in the press conference, we can all agree on a few things based on what we have witnessed thus far in the Frost era: (1) Frost has been outcoached on many occasions by other big ten coaches. He even admitted that on a few occasions (2) our second half adjustments are disastrous or non-existent, as if the coaches are clueless on how to react (3) our players on the field look confused on many occasions and keep looking to the sideline for help. Many times they are caught off guard and out of position, and are running like turkeys on thanksgiving. (4) Adrian Martinez has regressed every year since year 1 and the coaches have zero idea how to get him on track. (5) the sideline demeanor of Frost and company does not inspire confidence or show belief in oneself. They simply do not believe they have what it takes to dominate another team I know this next comment I make will rain hell on me but oh well. Does anyone else feel that may be Frost and company got lucky at UCF and had the correct athletes at that time which resulted in their record but they are in fact not that good. I remember the games were shootouts and UCF would pull a rabbit out of the hat. I guess that is not good enough for the BIG. I really hope I am wrong but after four years of the same exact product on the field, you have to wonder what is really happening. We do not even have one impact player on our offense. Unless Frost has an ace up his sleeve, this season will get very ugly starting with the Oklahoma game.
  23. I guess this explains why our second half adjustments are nonexistent. I am so glad we are paying Frost $5 million to make statements like this. If we cannot adjust to what a first year coaching staff at Illinois throws at us, what are we going to do against the other big ten coaches? Bend over I guess.
