I see Dabo Sweeney yelling at players when they make a dumb mistake that costs their team a touchdown. I also see Saban do the same thing in almost every game. It is called coaching and tough love...we obviously have the wrong recruits. They have become accustomed to ice cream parties after losses and touchy feelie mumbo jumbo. Frost apologizing will only enable more bad behavior because there are no consequences for bad actions and dumb plays. It is clear that these players have become accustomed to losses and they do not care if they lose anymore. How low we have fallen!

The depressing news I learned from today’s presser is that Frost would rather get fired than fire any of his coaches. He seems to think these coaches can walk on water. I am sorry but our defense can’t stop a fly and our special teams are nonexistent. How can he stand by them, I am in complete shock. He seems to be more loyal to his coaches than husker nation. His coaches might have been good in central Florida but they are not getting it done in the BIG. If Frost does not open his mind to possibilities and the fact that some of his coaches might not be the right people at Nebraska, it is going to be a very long way back to being relevant. As of now, we are as irrelevant as Rutgers and they actually one their game this weekend. Losing to Indiana at home is inexcusable. Let us hope we win this weekend or else things will get even uglier. What possible excuse can you have if you lose to a 2-6 team that has been decimated by injuries?!

In my opinion, we have three very capable QB that are playing their hearts out. Our issue is not at the QB position. Our issues are (1) an OL that is made up of a bunch of girls that can’t push a fly off the way (2) a defense that looks completely lost and out of position on every play (3) special teams that are anything but special, and (4) coaches that are completely clueless as to what is needed to get this team ready to be competitive the fact that we continue to play undisciplined stupid football and keep committing fouls that kill our drives and momentum is a clear sign that absolutely zero progress has been made since last year. This team has quit already and do not even care about going to a bowl. Except for a handful of players that are responsible for our 4 wins, the rest are a disgrace to Husker Football. We have become an irrelevant bottom feeder that every team crosses their game with us as a win. Apparently, the Vegas computers have underestimated how horrible we really are. At this point, I do not even see Frost as being confident when he says that things will get better which implies that there is a lot of hidden problems that he is not sharing.

Please read the entire discussion before you make rude comments. Neither of us suggested that App state is in FCS. I initially suggested that we move to the sunbelt conference and I was reminded that we may not want to play App state so then I suggested we move to FCS. So as you can see neither of us is living under a rock as you not so politely commented.

I completely agree with lumberjack. Chin looks clueless. This team has absolutely no identity. We get beat by one dimensional teams all the time. Indiana had no running game yet they beat us passing the ball and our secondary did a piss poor job adjusting to plays that you can see coming from 20 miles. Chin and Dewitt are not good coaches. His defense this year is worse than last years. How can that be when you arguably have more of your recruits this year than last year. If you can’t make half time adjustments and stop the bleeding by a lesser opponent, that simply means you are incompetent at your job. Chin is simply incompetent and will never succeed in the BIG. The sooner Frost realizes this the better for husker nation. Also, Frost should be loyal to the husker program that is paying his big fat salary and not his incompetent coaches who he refuses to even question. He never once in his presser imply that may be the coaches are not doing what needs to be done. If the coaches can’t inspire their players and they have to depend on other players to do the inspiring, may be we are paying the wrong people. I am 1000% sure that Frost has much higher expectations from his team but the buck stops with him. He needs to get them where he wants them to be. If he can’t Do that then he needs to admit that he is way over his head or he needs to get a competent supporting cast. There are many teams that have made great strides with new coaches. Minnie is 8-0 with a new coach. Oregon is 7-1 and ranked 11th with a new coach. Florida is top ten team with a new coach. Let us stop blaming Riley and may be consider that these coaches have lost control of this team. Next year’s schedule is brutal and I seriously doubt we will be in a better place if chin and Dewitt are still coaching. They have showed zero ability to coach their players. We are getting really tired of mediocrity. Are we ever going to beat a top ten team? Kansas state did it. Illinois did it. Why can’t we?

Here is the really troubling thing for me...if you look back at all our losses, it has been two to three guys on the opponents team that did all the damage. For example, take today for instance, we got beat by Ramsey and Philyor. It only took two players to beat us. You would think that if we had decent coaches, they would find a way to stop two players. Instead we came out in the second half flat and lost. We have lost to three teams that, on paper, we have much better talent. Only the Ohio state loss can be excused seeing what they did to Wisconsin today. The other three losses are due to the inability and incompetence of Frost’s coaches to come up with a good game plan and adjust during half time. Also, how come we do not continue to feed the ball to our most productive players like other teams do. Spielman was on fire yet we stopped throwing the ball to him. He had 97 yards catching and Philyor who is arguably a much lesser talent than Speilman had 178 yards. We can blame the players all day but at the end of the day, the blame falls squarely on the coaches who cash in their big fat checks and continue to put a horrible product on the field. Frost suspended Maurice Washington. Why not suspend the Davis brothers for committing too many unsportsmanlike penalties that cost us games? I am sorry but I do not blame my students for failing an exam, I always question myself if I did everything possible to help them succeed. Frost is failing these players because he is not placing the blame on the people responsible and that is his coaches who have not been able to get the best out of the players. If he refuses to assess and evaluate his coaches at the end of this season, he will not succeed in Nebraska. There are many talented defensive and special teams coaches that would love to coach at Nebraska. Look at what the mad hatter has been able to do at Kansas. I am willing to bet a million dollars that we lose to Kansas if we played them this year. And do not tell me that les miles would not have come to Nebraska if asked. He was begging Nebraska to give him a chance. I am not calling for Frost’s head. He deserves at least five years to hopefully turn things around but he is not going to do so with this pathetic supporting cast of incompetent coaches. Something has to give.

This loss will linger more than others because the entire state and fan base bought into the bull crap we were fed by Frost that we had two weeks of the best practices ever and that guys are eager to get back on the field and play. Either he has been fooled by his own team or he just thinks we are naive and will buy anything he sells. Enough with the buy in and complaining about undisciplined penalties and do something about it. At this point, sit out every player who committed a stupid penalty specially the Davis brothers and start setting some examples. Unless there are consequences to actions, players will not learn. He needs to start exercising tough love because these players are not responding to him being nice. He also needs to have a serious talk with his coaches and make them understand that if they don’t get the job done, they need to start looking for other jobs. I am tired of us paying so much money with absolutely no return on investment. I am willing to bet that another player decommits this week. A coach who blames his players but does not admit his coaches’ shortcomings does not inspire confidence in recruits.

He is a rich bum who can’t coach and thanks to Frost loyalty, he will continue to suck while getting a big fat check...what is moos saying about all this. He can’t be happy with this product.

It is disturbing that Frost does not admit that his coaches need to do a much better job. He keeps saying that we do not have enough players that have bought in but isn’t it his job and his coaches’ jobs to get these players ready. After two weeks of practice and preparation, there is no excuse for being outcoached in your own stadium. Let us call a spade a spade...the coaches are failing these players because they are not coaching them right. The blame also falls on Frost who has failed to discipline players who continue to commit stupid fouls. He can’t just blame the players. There is plenty of blame to go around and when we have the better talent and still lose, that is on coaching.

I am glad we played Illinois when we did because they are getting much better and I have no doubt that they will go bowling this year, which is more than I can say for our uninspired players. You can tell they have quit from the uninspired manner they came out of the tunnel walk. These players have not earned the right to wear the blackshirts or do the tunnel walk. Let them get to the field through the restroom until they learn to compete.

I learned that (1) chin and his defense are a complete disgrace and have no idea how to patch a sinking boat (2) Frost like his predecessors is not able to fix the undisciplined penalty ridden play (3) Frost needs to suspend the Davis brothers for committing stupid fouls. May be that will deter others from committing them (4) having the best week of practice is synonymous with we are going to get our butts kicked (5) we are one of the only teams in the nation that has failed to get the best of our 4 and 5 star recruits and that is all coaching (6) our OL are a bunch of little girls and need to practice with skirts until they learn how to push opponents back (7) we are not going bowling this year because when your defense can’t stop a chicken you can’t win games even if it is against inferior teams (8) the coaches do not have the respect of their players and that is why we have still to hit rock bottom. (9) every time I feel that we have hit rock bottom and there is no way but up, this team finds a way to prove me wrong we finish this season 5-7 and that is me being optimistic.

I learned that Illinois should be really pissed losing to us. We are the Rutgers of the west.

I learned that WE are the bottom feeders of the BIG west. We are exactly what we hate...teams that only beat much lesser opponents and can’t compete against a team with a pulse

To the people that say we don’t have the players and that is the reason we lose, you need to stop telling yourself that. We have three times the talent that Indiana has but our coaches are clueless and completely lost as to how to get the best out of their players.

I am not ready to give up on Frost yet. I actually believe that he has what it takes to turn things around...However, I have lost complete faith in his supporting cast...they are incompetent

You have to admit that if you had the better race car and you still lose to your opponent, is the car to blame or you? That is exactly what I feel about this coaching staff...they have failed this state and its fans. They honestly do not deserve having such a loyal fan base because they keep finding ways to disappoint us....the next time I hear Frost saying that they had the best week of practice is the time I stop watching football and concentrate on volleyball. At least our women have some pride. This football team is a pathetic disgrace...might as well play for Tennessee.

This team is pathetic and it showed when we struggled against a 1-7 south Alabama that there was absolutely no progress from last year. Frost can’t be happy with this pathetic effort...

Frost has some explaining to do...he needs to have a come to Jesus talk with chin and tell him to start selling his house
