  1. I wish you could just read my mind right now...
  2. You know that for a fact? I am impressed with your ability to read people’s minds.
  3. They are BIG TEN refs and in some way or another answer to the Big Ten conference. Watching the NW game and seeing that NW got one 5 yard penalty compared to our almost 100 yards in penalties makes you wonder if the refs are not trying to send some kind of message.
  4. While I agree that the refs have been a little biased, a lot of that has to do with the fact that we are the most undisciplined team in FBS and we do commit so many dumb penalties in every game. Averaging 10+ penalties per game, some of which come at the worst time ever, does not help our reputation. So, if there is a 50/50 call, the refs tend to call it against us. Also, Frost stating that the Big Ten will have to adjust to his scheme did not help our cause either. This team needs to stop giving the refs reasons to call penalties against us. This starts with us not committing dumb roughing the passer penalties when we have a team pinned at their one yard line and we are trying to win our first game.
  5. I am not buying what Vegas is selling and I really wish that they say we are the underdog. I saw how Minnesota played Ohio state and they are not an easy team to beat. We will need to have the best game of the season, cut down the penalties to less than four and get some turnovers. We have not been able to do that all season long, what makes Vegas think, we can do it this week? Also, Minnesota is not one dimensional. They have some good running backs. We could not stop a one dimensional team in NW when our first win was on the line, can we stop an angry Minnesota team looking for its first Big ten win? Vegas needs to rethink its math.
  6. I learned that Nebraska, UTSA, and San Jose St. are the only winless teams in FBS. What a great company we are in? And to think, not long ago, we were not happy with nine wins. I am hoping that Frost figures things out soon and starts recruiting the right players for his scheme or we will end up a punching bag for the BIG for a long time. At this point, we just need to give Frost all the time he needs to get this done and support him, because running coaches from Lincoln has not got us anything but a team with absolutely no identity what so ever. The damage that has been done since Frank Solich was fired will require more than a couple of years to reverse. Building a winning culture takes time and we are at a point now where we need to learn how to win a game before we can have consistency in performance. From his press conferences, I can see that Frost is a competitor and wants to win as much as all of us want our beloved Huskers to win but he needs to find a right balance between the right players and COACHES.
  7. Let us face it, Frost has a hard time calling the plays he wants because he does not trust that the players can execute correctly. He implied that in his press conference. I am sure he wanted to go for a first down and kill the clock but decided to play conservatively. When your team commits so many penalties, it is hard to trust that they can get a first down without holding or doing something dumb that will move us back more. Having said that, we should have been able to stop a ONE DIMENSIONAL team when we pin them on their own 1yard line. Not being able to do that falls on the players and more importantly on Chinanderla, who has yet to explain himself for a very poor performance the last five minutes of the game. I hope Frost holds him accountable.
  8. I just hope we beat our Div II opponent next week.
  9. If you told me when they announced Frost as our coach that the Huskers would be 0-6 and would lose to Troy who lost to Liberty this year. I would say that was laughable, yet here we are.
  10. Again, you don’t know that. People surprise you.
  11. Today’s game makes you question the coaches and their wisdom...that is all. They played not to lose rather than playing to win and their management of the last 5 minutes was questionable at best.
  12. How can you be certain that if Gebbia started the first game, things would not be different? Did you see that in an alternate universe! Again, and for the millionth time, Adrian Martinez is a stud and he will be our future and he will definitely get better as the season goes on. All I have been wondering is if it was the right decision to put so much pressure on an 18 year old to win the Games for us when our defense is so bad. Giving Gebbia a chance might have taken any doubts away. That is all I am saying.
  13. I am sorry but I did not notice that, autocorrect must have changed my typo. I know it is Adrian. There is absolutely no reason to belittle me given that you are in charge of this board. You would think you would have the decency to not be little your members. I follow been following our Huskers ever since I can remember. I am sure I know who our QB is and there is no reason for your snarky comment. How about you ban me for making an honest typo mistake.
  14. To be honest with you, I am so frustrated and dejected after today’s game that I started to question everything. Imagine, Liberty beat Troy who beat us. We are 0-6 and we don’t seem to get out of our own way. We continue to pile on the penalties on every crucial moment of the game including in OT. Our players beat themselves all the time. Our special teams are anything but special. We do not have a kicker. We just replaced our punter. We can never go after a punt or block a kick, and every time we make a positive play on special teams, it is negated by a STUPID penalty. When you see this in six games, doesn’t that make you question the decision making and the ability of these coaches to fix the mistakes! Just an honest question.
  15. Obviously you are one of those Gods who knows everything so no point arguing with you. So, you want to convince me that the coaches have made the absolute right decisions all season thus far, yet we are still at 0-6. According to your reasoning, we were distant to be 0-6 regardless. Right?
  16. I definitely want some of what Herbstreit is smoking...it must be the really good expensive stuff.
  17. Again, as usual, you are misinterpreting what I said. I am not blaming AM and I know he is doing his best, however, you can’t deny that Frost has put the games on his shoulders and he is an 18 year old. He might be better than Gebbia in OUR practices but real games are different. Plus, Gebbia leaving started an exodus because other players felt that Frost gave up on them. Had he played Gebbia in a couple of games, may be we would have had different results and more buy in from other players. After seeing the horrible decision making from the coaches today, I started to question their choices. And Gebbia was never my golden boy but I am just questioning the way all this was handled.
  18. I also learned that if you were not alcoholic, this season will definitely get you there. I just hope there are enough AA meetings in Lincoln to keep up with the demand.
  19. I have know for a while but I was hoping that we were better than our performance. Today showed me that neither our players nor our coaches are close to us competing for anything.
  20. We learned that we are LIGHTYEARS away from Michigan and Ohio State. We also learned that that it might not only be the players that are at fault...the coaches have a lot of explaining to do. i am seriously questioning the decision to start ANDREW MARTINEZ over Gebbia..Frost has put a lot on the shoulders of an 18 year old who did not play his senior year in high school. I am not blaming AM. He is doing very good considering the situation he was put in but may be starting Gebbia would have sent a different message to the players who left our team.
  21. Why not send chinanderla up to the booth...what do we have to lose at this point. We tried him on the field for six games and he produced no results, may be having him see the field from up in the booth might result in better play calling. We have nothing to lose right now. We already broke every s&$#&ty record at this point. Might as well try new things...doing the same exact thing and expecting different results is the definition of....not going to say it since we all know it.
  22. That is not even close to what I meant. However, this loss is on him and he needs to own it and he needs to hold his incompetent coordinators responsible.
  23. If there was a ranking for the dumbest team in FBS, we win that championship trophy hands down. We are sinking so low that there is no light in the tunnel anymore...we are hundreds of miles away from any light...it is going to be a very long wait till we see what next year brings. 2018 is not a husker year. I am going to follow volleyball the rest of this season. At least our lady Huskers have mojo. Our football players have no family jewels anymore.
  24. Liberty is up on Troy...LIBERTY...can you imagine how pathetic this team is! I am sorry but the fans of Nebraska deserve better than this pathetic display on the field and from the coaching staff. We are the laughing stock of everyone on TV.
  25. We simply forgot what it feels to win a game. The culture has become us losing games and then drinking koolaid and saying that the future is bright. I am sorry, the future sucks because we just guaranteed that we are not going to a bowl game for the second consecutive year. Pretty soon, our fans will forget that Nebraska was a mighty football team in the 90’s. Honestly, seeing this crap today, it feels like a Greek myth that Nebraska once was the Alabama of football. Now, we are the Kansas or Illinois or Arkansas...just pick any loser team.
